Cobb (finger) was reinstated from the injured list ahead of his scheduled start in the first game of Thursday's doubleheader against the Twins.

Cobb wound up missing two turns in the rotation due to a blister. He struggled to a 5.48 ERA in five starts prior to the injury, but his 2.52 FIP and 2.64 xFIP told a very different story and suggested that he'd have far better results if not for a .431 BABIP. His 30.4 percent strikeout rate is nearly double his 16.8 percent mark from 2020, while his 55.2 percent groundball rate is his best mark since 2014. Jose Quijada was optioned in a corresponding move.

Suarez was recalled by the Angels to serve as the 27th man in Thursday's doubleheader against the Twins.

Suarez spent just over a week with Triple-A Salt Lake but will now return to the major-league bullpen on a temporary basis. The southpaw allowed a run on five hits and three walks while striking out one in four innings during his lone major-league appearance this season.

Civale (6-1) allowed two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out eight as he earned the win over the Angels on Wednesday.

Civale started off the game by retiring the first eight batters he faced before the Angels rallied together a run in the third on a two-out triple and an RBI double. He let up his second run in the fourth when Jared Walsh led off the inning with a solo home run. Civale was dominant otherwise, as he finished the evening with a season-high eight strikeouts while needing 114 pitches to get through the outing. He now owns a 3.30 ERA, has a 47:16 K:BB over 60 innings and is tied for second in baseball with six wins heading into his next start.

Dunning is working to fix his approach early in games that has led to a 10.12 ERA in the first inning of his starts, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Dunning said he's mostly been a two-pitch pitcher the first time through the order, throwing primarily sliders and sinkers, before incorporating an offspeed pitch later. "Early on, for the most part, I usually try to work two pitches one time through the order," Dunning explained. "And the second time through the order, I add another pitch in and kind of keep doing that the same, just because I'm not trying to show them all my pitches at the very beginning." Starting Thursday against the Yankees, the right-hander intends to adjust that approach by throwing more changeups early to get batters off his slider/sinker. Other than the first-inning woes, Dunning has pitched well for Texas, posting a 4.34 ERA (2.61 FIP) over eight starts (37.1 innings).

Gilbert (0-2) took the loss against Detroit on Wednesday, pitching 2.2 innings and allowing three runs on four hits and two walks while striking out two.

Gilbert needed 74 pitches to retire eight batters, and only 43 of his offerings went for strikes. He has now allowed seven runs over 6.2 frames on the campaign. The right-hander has been impressive in the minors, so his struggles so far in the big leagues can likely be chalked up to a learning curve, but he'll need to pitch better moving forward to remain in the rotation. His next chance to take the mound is tentatively scheduled for next Wednesday at Oakland.

Skubal (1-6) earned the win over Seattle on Wednesday, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out nine.

The southpaw got off the schneid after losing his first six decisions of the campaign. Skubal notched a season-high nine strikeouts in the contest and was in control after yielding two runs in the first inning. He induced an impressive 18 swinging strikes and lowered his season ERA to 5.45. Skubal has shown marked improvement over his past three appearances, logging a 4.50 ERA and a 22:5 K:BB across 16 innings. His next start is expected to take place at home against Cleveland early next week.

Kluber (4-2) threw a no-hitter against the Rangers on Wednesday, striking out nine and walking a batter in the Yankees' 2-0 win.

Kluber made history as the first Yankee to throw a no-hitter since 1999. The 35-year-old's lone blemish on the night was a one-out walk in the third to Charlie Culberson, but he went on to retire 20 straight batters to finish his historic performance. Kluber fell just short of his season high in strikeouts and walked under two hitters for just the second time this season. The two-time CY Young Award winner has had excellent command of his offspeed pitches to make up for his lack of velocity in his fastball this year. He now owns an impressive 2.86 ERA to go along with a 50:20 K:BB over 50.1 innings and will look to pick up his fifth win in six tries in his next outing.

Stripling (0-3) allowed six runs on eight hits and struck out three in 3.2 innings, taking the loss Wednesday versus Boston.

Stripling had a disastrous first, as he allowed back-to-back home runs to Alex Verdugo and J.D. Martinez. Enrique Hernandez added the last run on Stripling's line with a solo shot in the second. The veteran right-hander hasn't been able to find a groove in 2021 with a 7.20 ERA, 1.76 WHIP and 29:8 K:BB across 25 innings. He tentatively lines up to face Tampa Bay next week.

Greinke (4-1) allowed one earned run on four hits and no walks while striking out eight across eight innings to earn the win Wednesday against the Athletics.

Greinke was extremely efficient, as he needed only 89 pitches to get through eight innings of work. He surrendered just extra-base hit, a double off the bat of Sean Murphy, which drove in the lone run of the game for the Athletics. After three consecutive four-inning outings, Greinke has combined to work 15 frames across his last two starts. This effort lowered his ERA to 3.77, and he has maintained a 48:11 K:BB across 59.2 innings. He currently lines up to take the mound again Wednesday against the Dodgers.

Montas (5-3) allowed two earned runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out six across five innings to take the loss Wednesday against the Astros.

Montas struggled out of the gate by surrendering three hits, one walk and both of his earned runs in the opening frame. However, he managed to settle in from there and allowed only four singles and one free pass across his final four innings. Despite racking up six strikeouts, Montas backed those punchouts with only eight swinging strikes on 98 total pitches. Across 47 innings for the season, Montas has maintained a 4.79 ERA with a 45:13 K:BB across 47 innings. He currently lines up to make his next start Monday against the Mariners.
