Bieber (7-3) allowed one earned run on five hits and two walks while striking out five across six innings to pick up the win over the Cardinals on Tuesday.

Bieber's only run allowed came in the fourth inning on an Edmundo Sosa single. He walked two batters and hit another in the same inning. Although he earned the win, Bieber struck out a season-low five batters. It was the first time he struck out less hitters than innings pitched. The 26-year-old has a 2.96 ERA and a 1.19 WHIP with a strong 12.9 K/9 in 85 innings. He will look to continue his winning streak in his next start Sunday against the Mariners.

Bassitt (6-2) won Tuesday's 5-2 victory over Arizona, going seven innings and allowing two runs on four hits and a walk with six strikeouts.

It only took 88 pitches for Bassitt to get through seven frames as he allowed all five baserunners and both runs in the second and seventh innings, the other five being 1-2-3. The quality start was his eighth in his last 10 starts and Bassitt lowered his ERA to 3.44 with the successful outing.

Lyles allowed two runs (one earned) on six hits and three walks while striking out three across six innings Tuesday against the Giants. He did not factor into the decision.

Lyles limited the Giants throughout his start, with the only major damage against him coming on a solo home run by Brandon Crawford. He was unable to rack up strikeouts but limited his opposition to only one extra-base hit and stranded five runners on base. Lyles has now allowed three or fewer earned runs in seven consecutive starts and worked at least five innings in each outing. However, he still carries a 5.37 ERA with a 57:24 K:BB across 67 frames this season.

Valdez (2-0) picked up the win Tuesday after holding the Red Sox to one run on five hits and no walks while striking out eight across 7.1 innings.

Making his third start since coming off the injured list with a broken left finger, Valdez yielded one run to the Red Sox for the second straight time during his longest outing of the season thus far. The only damage of the night for the 27-year-old came from an RBI groundout off the bat of Hunter Renfroe. Valdez was otherwise brilliant while gaining ample run support from his offense. After a breakout 2020 campaign, the southpaw posted a 1.88 ERA and 26:10 K:BB over 24 playoff innings and is poised for another solid season. He's slated to get his next chance on the mound Sunday at Minnesota.

Perez (4-3) was charged with the loss Tuesday against the Astros after surrendering six runs on six hits and three walks while striking out two across two innings.

After tossing one of his best games of the 2021 campaign against the Astros last week, Perez couldn't silence their bats this time around, giving up a season-worst six runs in his shortest outing of the year. The southpaw served up a solo homer to Carlos Correa in the first before getting knocked around for five runs in the second, including a hit-by-pitch RBI with the bases loaded. The Astros held onto the lead the rest of the way, strapping Perez with his third loss. Despite the horrid outing, the 30-year-old has looked solid across the majority of his last eight starts, going 4-2 in that span. He'll look to bounce back during his next projected start at home Sunday against Toronto.

Glasnow (5-2) allowed one earned run on six hits and a walk while striking out 11 across seven innings to earn the win Tuesday against the Nationals.

Glasnow allowed a run in the third inning, but he dominated the Nationals otherwise, inducing an exceptional 27 swinging strikes on 114 total pitches while posting double-digit strikeouts for the seventh time in 13 starts this season. Also impressive has been Glasnow's ability to work deep into games, as he's worked at least seven innings in four of his last five outings. For the season, Glasnow has a 2.57 ERA with 117 strikeouts across 84 total frames.

Quintana (shoulder) tossed a bullpen session Monday and could be activated by the end of the week, the Associated Press reports.

The left-hander's bullpen went well, so there is optimism that he could return to the big club soon. Prior to going on the injured list May 31, Quintana had compiled a 3.78 ERA and 11.9 K/9 over his previous 16.2 innings, so he'll likely have a spot in the rotation waiting for him. That said, the veteran also registered a less-than-promising 1.62 WHIP and 6.5 BB/9 in that four-start stretch, so he remains a risky play in fantasy.

Maeda (arm/groin) is scheduled to throw 50-55 pitches during his rehab start with Triple-A St. Paul on Wednesday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Given this update, Maeda will likely need at least another start after Wednesday in order to be fully stretched out. That being said, the Twins could opt to bring the right-hander back to the majors before building him all the way back up rather than extending his rehab assignment. The plan for Maeda should become more clear after his outing Wednesday.

McKenzie may be recalled to start for Cleveland on Saturday against the Mariners, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

Manager Terry Francona suggested as much Tuesday, and it makes sense that McKenzie, despite his struggles in 2021, will start Saturday over Cal Quantrill. Quantrill did nothing Sunday against the Orioles to earn another start, allowing seven runs (five earned) in 1.1 innings. Having yielded at least five runs in three of his last four big-league starts, McKenzie hasn't fared much better than Quantrill, but he's likely to get yet another opportunity Saturday against a Mariners lineup that shelled him for two homers and five runs May 15.

McCullers (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Sugar Land on Thursday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

McCullers landed on the injured list in late May with a sore shoulder. Given the relatively brief nature of his absence, it's possible he only requires one rehab start before returning to action. If that's the case, he'd line up to start next Tuesday against Texas, which would match previous reports that the team expected him back in mid-June.
