Rasmussen was optioned to Triple-A Durham on Sunday, Steve Carney of Sports Radio 620 WDAE reports.

Rasmussen was called up by the Rays on Saturday, and he struck out four in 1.2 perfect innings in Saturday's matchup against Seattle. He'll now head back to the minors as part of a transaction that's expected to make room for shortstop Wander Franco on the active roster.

Matz could be available to return from the COVID-19 injured list this week if he's negative for the virus when he gets tested again Wednesday, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Since going into quarantine last weekend after testing positive for the virus, Matz has resumed throwing on his own in attempt to remain stretched out for starting duty while he's on the IL. Matz has reportedly built up to 70 pitches in his most recent throwing session, so he could be an option to make his return to the rotation as soon as Wednesday in Miami if he clears all COVID-19-related protocols.

Eovaldi (7-4) was tagged with the loss Sunday against the Royals after allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits and a walk while fanning four across four innings.

Eovaldi has been up and down of late, and while he's allowed four or more runs in two of his last three starts, those are the only two times he's given up more than two runs across his last six showings. Despite a few inconsistent outings, the right-hander owns a 3.90 ERA across 15 starts this season and should make his next appearance against the Yankees at home next week.

Montgomery allowed one run on three hits and two walks while striking out six in 5.1 innings in Sunday's win over the Athletics. He didn't factor into the decision.

Although Montgomery had to settle for yet another no-decision Sunday, he was much more effective than he was in his last two outings, as he gave up eight runs (seven earned) in 11 innings during that time. The lefty gave up a two-out home run in the first inning but held the Athletics in check afterward. He tentatively lines up to make his next start on the road against Boston on Saturday.

Ryu (6-4) allowed one run on three hits and one walk while striking out four in seven innings to earn the win against the Orioles on Sunday.

Ryu had posted quality starts in each of his last two outings, and he returned to the win column Sunday for the first time since May 28. The southpaw gave up a home run to Trey Mancini in the first inning but held the Orioles in check for the rest of his appearance. The 34-year-old has posted a 3.25 ERA and 1.08 WHIP in 83 innings across 14 starts in 2021. He tentatively lines up to make his next start at home against the Orioles on Friday.

Manager Mike Matheny said Singer (shoulder) is scheduled to start Tuesday's game against the Yankees, Lynn Worthy of The Kansas City Star reports.

The right-hander was on a pitch count and limited to three frames in his start last Tuesday while managing some shoulder tightness, but it appears he won't miss a turn through the rotation. Singer could still face some workload limitations after throwing only 51 pitches in his previous outing.

Wells allowed two runs on three hits and struck out one in one-third of an inning, taking a blown save in Saturday's 10-7 loss to Toronto.

The right-hander's streak of 11 scoreless innings over his last six appearances came to a crushing end. In addition to the two runs on his line, Wells also allowed all three runners he inherited from Paul Fry to score as part of Toronto's six-run ninth inning. Wells now has a 4.13 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 40:8 K:BB across 32.2 innings. The blown save was his first of the season, as he hasn't seen much high-leverage work yet.

Quantrill didn't factor into the decision Saturday against the Pirates after tossing five scoreless innings, allowing three hits and two walks while fanning two.

The right-hander has spent most of the season as a reliever but has been moved to the rotation with Shane Bieber (shoulder) recently joining Zach Plesac (finger) on the injured list. Quantrill owns a 2.74 ERA on the season and is slated to make his next start on the road against the Twins next week.

Allard didn't factor into the decision Saturday against the Twins after allowing two runs on four hits and a walk while fanning six across six innings.

While Allard wasn't involved in the decision, this was one of his best outings of the season -- he reached six innings for the first time all year and also delivered his first quality start. Plus, the six strikeouts tied a season-high mark for him, and it's worth noting he has recorded at least four punchouts in each of his last four outings. The swingman owns a strong 2.93 ERA while shifting between the rotation and the bullpen across 14 appearances (four starts).

Kremer didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 10-7 loss to the Blue Jays after giving up two runs on three hits and three walks while striking out six over six innings.

The quality start was the second of the season for Kremer, who looked poised to pick up his first win of the campaign until the Baltimore bullpen squandered a 7-4 lead in the ninth inning. While wins will likely remain few and far between for Kremer while he pitches for a 23-47 Baltimore squad, he's performed well enough over his past two starts to at least stick in the rotation while John Means (shoulder) and Bruce Zimmermann (biceps) are on the shelf.
