Bieber (shoulder) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Sunday.

The 26-year-old has been on the shelf since mid-June, and he now won't be eligible to be activated until mid-August. Bieber began his throwing program last week, so the move to the 60-day IL is unlikely to significantly affect his return timeline. He remains without a clear recovery timetable but should continue ramping up his rehab work.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone hasn't finalized his rotation plans for the upcoming week, but Cortes tentatively lines up to start Wednesday at Tampa Bay, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

The 26-year-old surrendered three runs over two innings out of the bullpen Friday in his first appearance back from the injured list, and he's now slated to rejoin the rotation. It was the first time all season Cortes gave up multiple earned runs in an appearance, as he's been lights-out with a 1.95 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 34:10 K:BB over 27.2 innings this season.

Manoah (back) is scheduled to throw 60-to-75 pitches in a simulated game Monday, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

The 23-year-old was previously expected to rejoin the rotation Monday, but he'll instead throw one more simulated game before potentially being activated. If all goes well in the sim game, Manoah could be back with Toronto to start Saturday's contest versus Kansas City.

Rodriguez (illness) is scheduled to start Thursday against the Blue Jays, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

The left-hander was pulled from Friday's start against the Yankees after one inning due to migraine issues, but he's feeling better over the past couple days and is poised to start Thursday's series finale with Toronto. Rodriguez had been pitching better of late prior to Friday's brief showing with a 2.83 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 34:5 K:BB across his previous five starts (28.2 innings).

Schmidt (elbow) threw two simulated innings at the Yankees' complex in Florida on Wednesday and could be sent on a minor-league rehab assignment soon, per MLB.com.

The right-hander's first simulated session is said to have gone well, and the organization is now deciding whether to have him toss another sim game or to send him out on a rehab assignment. When he does get back into game action, his first outing is expected to cover three innings and 45 pitches. Schmidt hasn't pitched at all this season after suffering an elbow strain during spring training.

Lynch was recalled from Triple-A Omaha and will start Sunday's game against the Tigers.

The left-hander was previously announced as Sunday's starter and has now officially rejoined the big-league roster. Lynch got his first taste of the majors in May and surrendered 14 runs on 18 hits in three starts (eight innings) before returning to the minors.

Mize didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 9-8 loss to the Royals, giving up four runs on six hits and a walk over 4.2 innings. He struck out six.

The whiffs were nice, but Mize hit a wall after four scoreless innings and let Kansas City back into the game after Detroit has jumped out to a 6-0 lead. The young right-hander hasn't completed five innings in any of his last four starts, but on the season he still sports a respectable 3.63 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 85:28 K:BB through 104 frames.

Rasmussen didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 8-2 win over Cleveland, allowing one run on one hit over three innings. He struck out three without walking a batter.

Making his second career big-league start, Rasmussen was very efficient over 35 pitches (25 strikes) and made only one mistake, which Bobby Bradley deposited in the seats for a solo shot. The right-hander has worked multiple innings in five of his last six appearances, and while his 4.60 ERA in 15.2 frames since coming over from the Brewers in the Willy Adames trade isn't impressive, Rasmussen's 1.09 WHIP and 20:4 K:BB suggests he can be useful in a swing role for the Rays.

Bassitt got a no-decision in Saturday's 5-4 loss to Seattle, allowing four runs on five hits and three walks with six strikeouts in five innings.

Bassitt's nemesis in the game was Mitch Haniger, who doubled and scored in the first and homered in the third and fifth to play a role in all four runs charged to the Oakland starter. The four runs allowed ties a season high as the first time All-Star looks to rebound against the Angels next weekend.

Gilbert got a no-decision in Saturday's 5-4 win against Oakland, allowing three runs on five hits and a walk with five strikeouts.

Gilbert got through the game's first two innings unscathed but allowed five baserunners and three runs in the third before being removed at 75 pitches. The rookie had won consecutive outings heading into Saturday's game and now sports a 3.81 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 67:13 K:BB ratio through 12 starts.
