Heaney (6-8) allowed four runs on six hits and struck out four over four innings, taking the loss versus Baltimore on Monday.

The southpaw gave up a season-high four home runs in the contest, although all were of the solo shot variety. Heaney has now allowed 20 homers across 19 starts this year. He has a 5.42 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 117:31 K:BB across 98 innings. He'll hope to keep the ball in the yard better when he makes his next start versus Seattle this weekend.

Cole will not make his scheduled start Tuesday against the Orioles after testing positive for COVID-19, Jack Curry of YES Network reports.

Following the positive test, Cole will be placed on the COVID injured list, where he'll spend at least 10 days. Skipper Aaron Boone stated Nestor Cortes will likely get the nod Tuesday in Cole's place, per SNY Yankees.

Ray allowed two runs on six hits and three walks with four strikeouts across six innings in a no-decision versus Cleveland on Monday.

This was Ray's seventh quality start in his last eight outings, the lone hiccup in that span being a July 21 appearances versus Boston. The southpaw gave up both runs Monday in the third inning, but Vladimir Guerrero's two-run blast in the sixth got him off the hook. The strong pitching lately has Ray's ERA at 3.04 with a 1.09 WHIP and 154:33 K:BB through 124.1 innings. He tentatively is set to make his next start versus Boston this weekend.

Severino (elbow/groin) will report to Double-A Somerset on Tuesday to begin a rehab assignment, Pete Caldera of The Bergen Record reports.

The Yankees are planning on Severino tossing 40-to-50 pitches in the rehab outing, his first game action since June 12. While ramping up following his February 2020 Tommy John surgery, Severino suffered a Grade 2 right groin strain, and his recovery from that injury looks to be the greater concern at this juncture. The Yankees are seemingly preparing to bring Severino back from the 60-day injured list as a starter, so he may require two or three additional rehab starts beyond Tuesday before making his return from the IL. General manager Brian Cashman estimated Sunday that Severino will likely rejoin the Yankees at some point between Aug. 20 and Sept. 1, according to Bryan Hoch of MLB.com.

Gonzales didn't factor into the decision Sunday in the Mariners' 4-3 loss to the Rangers after working six innings and giving up one run on five hits and no walks while striking out four.

After submitting his first quality start since June 20, Gonzales departed with a 2-1 lead and looked on track to win his third straight decision. Seattle padded its total with another run in the seventh inning, but all of that was for naught when Erik Swanson served up back-to-back home runs in the bottom of the ninth to blow the save. Though he was denied the victory, fantasy managers that were banking on a Gonzales turnaround can take solace in the improved form he displayed Sunday. He came into the outing with a 5.48 ERA and 1.47 WHIP through his first 13 starts of the season.

Berrios (8-5) earned the win Sunday against the Royals after tossing six scoreless innings, allowing five hits and a walk while fanning seven.

Berrios was absolutely stellar in his Toronto debut, as he tossed 64 of his 95 pitches for strikes and only allowed one runner to reach scoring position through the first five innings. He escaped from a bases-loaded jam in the sixth before departing the contest, and he ended up posting a strong outing across the board. Berrios now has two straight scoreless outings after posting a 4.68 ERA between July 1 and July 19.

McClanahan (5-4) won Sunday's 3-2 contest against the Red Sox, allowing one run on four hits and two walks with seven strikeouts in six innings.

McClanahan limited a potent Boston lineup to a single run and really only encountered trouble in the fourth inning, when Hunter Renfroe homered, and was able to work out of a two-on, one-out jam. The successful outing marks consecutive quality starts for the rookie left-hander -- McClanahan went six innings while allowing one run or less, a combo he's now achieved just twice in 16 starts.

Quantrill allowed one unearned run on three hits and four walks over six innings in Sunday's loss to the White Sox. He struck out six and did not factor in the decision.

Quantrill worked through four scoreless innings before plunking Jose Abreu with the bases loaded in the fifth. It was his fourth consecutive start going at least five innings while allowing fewer than two runs, lowering his season ERA to 3.40 through 84.2 frames. Quantrill is projected to face Detroit at home next week.

Detmers (0-1) allowed six earned runs on six hits and two walks while striking out two across 4.1 innings, taking the loss to the Athletics on Sunday.

Detmers made it through his first two innings without giving up a run before suffering through a five-run fifth inning. He surrendered home runs to Matt Olson and Yan Gomes. The 22-year-old had a 3.15 ERA and 106 strikeouts in 60 innings between two minor league teams. It is unknown whether he will have a long-term spot in the starting rotation.

Garcia (7-6) allowed five runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out seven in 4.2 innings, taking the loss versus San Francisco on Sunday.

For the second consecutive start and the third time in five outings, Garcia failed to complete five innings. He was taken deep twice Sunday, accounting for three of the five runs on his line. The right-hander has a still-solid 3.49 ERA with a 1.13 WHIP and 121:32 K:BB across 100.2 innings, but he's yielded 23 runs (21 earned) in his last 41.2 innings. He projects to make his next start versus Minnesota next weekend.
