Wacha allowed five runs on 10 hits and a walk while striking out two in five innings in Sunday's win over the Orioles. He didn't factor into the decision.

Wacha gave up at least one run in each of the first four innings Sunday, but he avoided taking the loss since the Rays put up six runs in the top of the eighth. The 30-year-old has struggled mightily in five starts since the All-Star break with a 7.04 ERA and 1.70 WHIP in 23 innings during that time. Wacha tentatively lines up to make his next start on the road against Minnesota on Saturday.

Maeda (5-4) allowed three runs on six hits and three walks over five innings Sunday, striking out five and earning a win against Houston.

With a 1.80 WHIP and 100 pitches through five innings, it definitely wasn't Maeda's most efficient outing. He allowed RBI base hits in each of the first, fourth and fifth innings but still managed to escape with a win. The veteran righty has allowed at least three runs in four of his last five outings, raising his season ERA to 4.69 through 19 starts. Maeda is lined up to face the Rays at home next weekend.

Kikuchi allowed four hits and three walks while striking out six in five scoreless innings in Sunday's win over the Yankees. He didn't factor into the decision.

Kikuchi posted his first scoreless outing in nearly two months during Sunday's start, but he had to settle for a no-decision in the low-scoring contest. The southpaw allowed seven runs in his first start after the All-Star break, but he's settled down since then and has posted a 2.86 ERA and 1.41 WHIP in 22 innings across his last four appearances. He tentatively lines up to take the mound at home against the Blue Jays on Saturday.

McCullers (9-3) allowed four runs on eight hits and three walks over 4.2 innings Sunday, striking out four and taking a loss against Minnesota.

McCullers allowed two homers in Sunday's loss, including a two-run shot by Miguel Sano in the fourth inning. It was his shortest outing since June 15 and the first time he's allowed multiple home runs since May 6. He now owns a 3.22 ERA and a 128:54 K:BB through 109 innings. McCullers is projected to face the Angels on the road next weekend.

Detmers (0-2) allowed five earned runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out five across five innings, taking the loss to the Dodgers on Sunday.

Detmers took his second loss in his second career start. He surrendered five runs, including a two-run homer by Albert Pujols in the second inning. The rookie has had a rough start to his MLB career, allowing 11 earned runs in his first 9.1 innings. However, he was able to improve on his first outing by tallying five punchouts Sunday.

Boyd (triceps) threw live batting practice Sunday at the Tigers' spring training facility, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Assuming Boyd checks out fine following the throwing session, he could be cleared to begin a minor-league rehab assignment as soon as the upcoming weekend. Because Boyd has been on the injured list since mid-June with left triceps tendinitis, he may require a few outings in the minors before the Tigers deem him ready to rejoin the big-league rotation.

Gil was returned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Sunday.

Gil was dominant in his second major-league start Sunday, as he allowed two hits and two walks while striking out eight in five scoreless innings in the loss to the Mariners. He didn't factor into the decision, but he's now tossed 11 scoreless frames to begin his big-league career. The right-hander served as a replacement player for Sunday's contest after Anthony Rizzo tested positive for COVID-19, so he'll head back to the minors to open a spot on the active roster. However, given Gil's back-to-back strong outings, it wouldn't be surprising to see him rejoin the Yankees later this week or early next week.

Civale (finger) has been throwing off a mound for more than two weeks, Paul Hoynes of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Civale is one of two rotation members currently residing on the 60-day injured list, with Shane Bieber (shoulder) joining him. At this stage, Civale remains further along in his rehab than Bieber, who advanced to throwing off flat ground from 90 feet Friday. Civale could soon be ready to face hitters in live batting practice before heading out on a minor-league rehab assignment, but regardless of how he progresses in his throwing program, he won't be eligible to return from the IL for at least another two weeks. Civale's open-ended return timeline could make it difficult for fantasy managers to justify stashing him in leagues with limited IL or reserve spots.

Kluber (shoulder) threw 42 pitches in a simulated game Saturday, per MLB.com.

The veteran hurler tossed 22 pitches in live batting practice Monday, and he nearly doubled that pitch count in Saturday's sim game. Kluber included cutters and sliders in the throwing session and did not appear to encounter any setbacks. Yankees manager Aaron Boone noted that Kluber pitched well but may have begun to tire toward the end of the session, which serves as a reminder that he still has obstacles to clear before rejoining the big club.

Flexen didn't factor into the decision Saturday against the Yankees after allowing three runs on eight hits and a walk across five innings. He struck out seven.

Flexen wasn't involved in the decision for the first time since June 29. The veteran right-hander has had issues with home runs, though, and he has given up at least one blast in each of his last three outings. He owns a 3.51 ERA across 41 innings since the beginning of July.
