Garcia took a no-decision Sunday in the Astros' 12-6 loss to the White Sox in Game 3 of the ALDS after giving up five runs on five hits and three walks while striking out three over 2.2 innings.

Garcia looked to be in strong position for a win after he entered the bottom of the third with a 5-1 lead, but the game quickly unraveled for the Astros. After issuing a leadoff walk and then striking out Jose Abreu, Garcia served up a two-run home run to Yasmani Grandal to cut the Astros' lead to two. Garcia then induced a groundout, but surrendered back-to-back singles before manager Dusty Baker turned the game over to reliever Yimi Garcia, who promptly allowed a three-run home run to Leury Garcia. While Luis Garcia's postseason debut was far from memorable, he should still be in good standing to maintain his spot in the rotation when his next turn comes up in the ALCS, should Houston advance.

Kopech was credited with the win in Sunday's 12-6 victory over the Astros in Game 3 of the ALDS after he tossed 2.1 innings out of the bullpen and gave up three runs on four hits and a walk while striking out five.

Summoned from the bullpen midway through the second inning after starter Dylan Cease allowed five of the 10 batters he faced to reach base, Kopech recorded the final out of the frame to keep the White Sox's deficit at two runs. Kopech then served up a two-run home run an inning later to give Houston a four-run lead, but the White Sox rallied with five runs in the bottom of the third to put the right-hander in line for the win. The rest of the Chicago bullpen kept the Houston bats quiet for the rest of the night to help the White Sox avoid falling into a 3-0 series hole.

Cease didn't factor into the decision Sunday in the White Sox's 12-6 win over Astros in Game 3 of the ALDS after giving up three runs on two hits and three walks while striking out two in 1.2 innings.

With the White Sox facing a 2-0 series deficit entering Sunday, manager Tony La Russa didn't take long to turn the game over to the bullpen while Cease was laboring in the second inning. Cease tossed only 20 of his 44 pitches for strikes and induced only three swings and misses before La Russa pulled the plug on him. Given the short outing, Cease should be available to pitch as soon as Wednesday's Game 5, but it's unclear if La Russa will be eager to go back to the right-hander after the rough postseason debut.

Urquidy will start Game 4 of the ALDS against the White Sox on Monday, Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Urquidy allowed at least two runs in each of his final three starts of the regular season and posted a 4.96 ERA and 1.04 WHIP in 16.1 innings during that time. The right-hander's start will be his first postseason appearance in 2021 as the Astros attempt to secure a spot in the ALCS.

Eovaldi allowed two runs on three hits and a walk while striking out eight in five innings during Sunday's win over the Rays in Game 3 of the ALDS. He didn't factor into the decision.

Eovaldi gave up a two-run homer in the top of the first inning Sunday but settled down and finished his outing by tossing four scoreless frames. The right-hander has lasted at least five innings in each of his first two postseason starts in 2021and will likely make his next appearance in the ALCS if the Red Sox advance.

Rasmussen allowed three runs on six hits and no walks while striking out one in two innings during Sunday's loss to the Red Sox in Game 3 of the ALDS. He didn't factor into the decision.

Rasmussen got early run support from the Rays, as the team scored two runs in the top of the first inning. However, the right-hander was unable to preserve the lead across the next two frames, which resulted in his shortest appearance since Aug. 1. Rasmussen wasn't charged with the loss since Tampa Bay tied the game in the top of the eighth. The Rays need to win back-to-back games to advance in the postseason, but the 26-year-old seems unlikely to pitch again in the ALDS.

Rodriguez will likely start Game 4 of the ALDS against the Rays on Monday, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Nick Pivetta was initially penciled in as Monday's starter, but he tossed four relief innings Sunday as the Red Sox won Game 3 in extra innings. As a result, Rodriguez will likely take the mound on short rest as the Red Sox attempt to advance to the ALCS. The southpaw started the first game of the ALDS on Thursday and allowed two runs on two hits and two walks while striking out one in 1.2 innings.

Rodon will start Game 4 of the ALDS against the Astros on Monday if the White Sox win Sunday, Maddie Lee of NBC Sports Chicago reports.

Rodon was hindered by a shoulder injury late in the regular season, but he's optimistic about his health ahead of Monday's contest. The southpaw made six starts across the final two months of the 2021 campaign and posted a 1.93 ERA and 0.93 WHIP in 28 innings during that time.

Manager Alex Cora said Sale will be available out of the bullpen for Game 3 of the ALDS against the Rays on Sunday, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.

Sale surrendered five runs in one frame during his Game 2 start Friday, and he'll be available as a reliever two days later since he threw only 30 pitches in that outing. Eduardo Rodriguez already lined up as the starter for a potential Game 5 on Wednesday, so working out of the bullpen shouldn't affect Sale's next turn through the rotation, which was already likely to come in the ALCS, should the Red Sox advance.

The White Sox are optimistic that Rodon will be able to start a potential Game 4 of the ALDS against the Astros on Monday, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

Rodon made Chicago's ALDS roster despite dealing with a shoulder injury late in the regular season. The White Sox dropped the first two games of the series, but the southpaw will likely be in line to start Game 4 if the team wins Sunday's matchup.
