Suarez was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake and will start Tuesday against the Red Sox, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

The left-hander was up with the Halos for a one-game stint in the majors during mid-May, and he'll now receive another look in the rotation. Suarez opened the campaign as a starter and had a 6.35 ERA over four starts before being demoted. Chase Silseth was sent back to Salt Lake in a corresponding move Tuesday.

Skubal won't start as scheduled Tuesday against the Pirates due to potential inclement weather and will instead start Wednesday's series finale.

The Tigers don't want to waste their ace with rain delays possible Tuesday, so Skubal will have his outing pushed back by one day. Wily Peralta will start a bullpen game in Skubal's place.

Odorizzi (lower leg) threw a 20-pitch bullpen session Tuesday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Odorizzi built up to 57 pitches during a bullpen Saturday, but he had a lighter workload during Tuesday's throwing session. However, the right-hander has also been able to run more in recent days. He hasn't yet resumed sprinting but is expected to do more running Wednesday and Thursday before throwing another bullpen Friday. Odorizzi will need to resume fielding at some point, but he's made good progress in his recovery over the last two weeks.

Ryu (forearm/elbow) will visit Dr. Neal ElAttrache in California on Thursday to receive a second opinion for his injuries, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

The veteran left-hander landed on the shelf last week with a forearm strain and elbow inflammation, and according to GM Ross Atkins, some "chronic changes" to Ryu's elbow have shown up via MRI. The team is optimistic it's not a significant issue, but the 35-year-old's recovery timeline remains up in the air, at least until Thursday's evaluation.

Manning (biceps) was cleared to resume throwing Tuesday, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Manning made just two starts before being shut down with biceps tendinitis. He'd embarked on a rehab assignment in early May before being shut down again late in the month, but he'll now be able to restart his throwing program.

Rodriguez (ribs) will report to Triple-A Toledo on Thursday for a rehab assignment, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

The left-hander has already been on the injured list for more than the 15-day minimum, and he's now entering the final stages of his rehab program. Rodriguez may need only one start in the minors before rejoining the active roster, so he could be back in Detroit's starting rotation next week if Thursday's outing with Toledo goes well.

Manager A.J. Hinch said Tuesday that Mize (elbow) continues to feel discomfort while throwing and will be shut down while seeking additional medical opinions, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Mize had his rehab slowed in mid-May but resumed throwing early last week. However, he was unable to throw from 90 feet without experiencing pain and will face another shutdown as a result. A better idea of the right-hander's status will likely come into focus after he receives additional opinions on his elbow.

Manager Rocco Baldelli confirmed Tuesday that Ryan (illness) will likely require a minor-league rehab start before returning from the COVID-19-related injured list, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Though Ryan is throwing again after he cleared all COVID-19-related protocols since testing positive for the virus May 25, he'll apparently need some time to build back up for starting duty after he was sidelined for nearly two weeks. Baldelli didn't specify when Ryan will begin his rehab assignment or which affiliate he'll join, but he'll presumably report to the minors later this week.

Baz (elbow) will rejoin the Rays' rotation during their upcoming series in Minnesota, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Baz made his fourth rehab start at Triple-A Durham on Sunday and allowed a run on four hits and a walk while striking out 10 in 4.1 innings. He built up to 79 pitches in the start and will rejoin the Rays' rotation after Ryan Yarbrough was sent down Tuesday. The team hasn't yet revealed which game Baz will start during the three-game series against the Twins, but it seems likely that he'll take the mound Saturday or Sunday.

Civale (glute) threw a side session Monday, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

Civale is set to take part in fielding drills Tuesday before the Guardians decide on his next steps. The right-hander is without a clear timeline to return from the 15-day injured list, but assuming the left glute injury isn't bothering him during workouts the next few days, he could be cleared to head out on a rehab assignment in the near future.
