Singer (3-3) took the loss against the Athletics on Sunday, allowing five runs on seven hits while striking out five and walking one over 8.1 innings.

Singer pitched an efficient game, throwing 66 of 99 pitches for strikes across 8.1 frames, yet he was unable to pick up the win. He allowed five earned runs in the contest, which turned out to be too much for the Royals' offense to overcome. The righty has allowed three or more runs in four of five June appearances. Singer will take a 4.50 ERA into his next appearance.

Kaprielian did not factor into the decision against the Royals on Sunday, allowing three runs on two hits while striking out two and walking four in 5.1 innings.

Kaprielian threw 48 of 84 pitches for strikes across 5.1 frames Sunday. Despite allowing two hits, he allowed three runners to cross the plate thanks to four free passes given to Royals batters. The righty has yet to make it through six innings in any of his 11 games this season. Kaprielian has also been unable to keep opponents from scoring, allowing at least one run in every game, including six games with three or more earned runs. He will take a 5.88 ERA into his next appearance.

Bielak was optioned to Triple-A Sugar Land on Sunday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Bielak was recalled by the Astros in early June and was effective while serving as a multi-inning option. He posted a 1.29 ERA and 1.00 WHIP in seven innings over three relief appearances but will head back to the minors since the team will call up Enoli Paredes.

Velasquez has made his last three appearances out of the White Sox bullpen, striking out five and picking up a win across six innings while allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits and a walk.

After coming off the 15-day injured list June 15, Velasquez made a 2.2-inning start against the Tigers that same day, but he was moved to the bullpen just a few days later when Michael Kopech was cleared to rejoin the rotation following a brief absence due to a knee injury. Velasquez should be the next man up to enter the rotation when the White Sox next require an additional starter, but he'll serve in a multi-inning relief role until then.

Manning (biceps) has resumed throwing off flat ground from 90 feet at the Tigers' spring training facility in Lakeland, Fla., Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

The 24-year-old has already spent more than two months on the 10-day injured list, and he may have a tough time making it back before the All-Star break even though he hasn't been shut down from throwing. He still has to increase his long-toss distance before advancing to mound work and then facing hitters before the Tigers send him back out on a rehab assignment. After previously making four rehab starts with Triple-A Toledo in May, Manning was pulled off the assignment while he was pitching through biceps tendinitis. He was initially placed on the IL due to right shoulder inflammation.

Gonzales (4-8) took the loss Sunday versus the Angels. He allowed two runs on five hits and four walks while striking out five in six-plus innings.

Gonzales got through six innings unscathed, but he allowed a solo home run to Luis Rengifo to lead off the seventh. Monte Harrison then drew a walk, and Andres Munoz would later give up an RBI single for the decisive run in the contest, which went on Gonzales' line. Despite the late fade, this was the fourth straight start in which the southpaw limited the opposition to two or fewer runs. He's maintained a steady 3.31 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 47:31 K:BB across 81.2 innings in 15 starts overall. The 30-year-old is projected to start at home against the Athletics next week in a favorable matchup.

Suarez (1-2) picked up the win Sunday versus the Mariners. He allowed a run on five hits and struck out eight over six innings.

Suarez pitched behind opener Andrew Wantz, who was ejected after he hit Jesse Winker with a pitch, which ignited a brawl between the teams. The lone run on Suarez's line was from an Abraham Toro solo home run in the sixth inning, but the Angels were able to pull ahead in the seventh while the southpaw was still in the game. Suarez had not completed more than five innings in a start at the major-league level prior to Sunday. He owns a 4.36 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 34:17 K:BB across 33 innings overall. The Angels' pitching plans are still in flux heading into next week, but Suarez's next start is expected to be a road date in Houston next weekend.

The Blue Jays promoted Zulueta from High-A Vancouver to Double-A New Hampshire on Sunday, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

New Hampshire will mark the third stop of the season for Zulueta, who began the campaign at Single-A Dunedin before moving up to Vancouver. Between the two affiliates, the 24-year-old Cuban right-hander produced a 3.53 ERA and 1.15 WHIP in 35.2 innings while striking out 54 and holding opposing hitters to a .208 batting average. According to Zwelling, Zulueta will continue to make regular starts for New Hampshire and could eventually join the Blue Jays later this season as a multi-inning option out of the bullpen.

Cortes allowed three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out seven in five innings during Sunday's win over the Astros. He didn't factor into the decision.

Cortes' strikeout total improved Sunday after he totaled just 10 strikeouts over his last three starts, but he gave up at least three runs for the third time in his last four outings and was forced to settle for the no-decision. The left-hander has been held under six innings in each of his last four starts, and he's posted a 5.68 ERA in 19 innings during that time. He projects to make his next start on the road against Cleveland on Saturday.

Urquidy allowed a run on a hit and three walks while striking out three in seven innings during Sunday's loss to the Yankees. He didn't factor into the decision.

Urquidy carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning Sunday but was forced to settle for a no-decision after the Astros' bullpen gave up the team's lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. While the right-hander's strikeout total remained limited, he finished with his fourth quality start over his last five outings. Over those five starts, Urquidy has posted a 3.68 ERA and 1.06 WHIP in 29.1 innings. He tentatively lines up to make his next start at home against the Angels on Saturday.
