Faedo, who was optioned to Triple-A Toledo after starting Monday for the Tigers, may not pitch again prior to the All-Star break due to right hip soreness, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Faedo originally dealt with the hip issue last week but was cleared to start Monday, but he surrendered four runs over 1.2 innings and was demoted after the contest. The right-hander could make his way to the injured list if the Tigers opt to limited his workload for a week or two.

Lyles (6-7) earned the win during Tuesday's 4-2 victory over the Cubs, allowing two runs on seven hits and one walk with five strikeouts in seven innings.

Lyles settled down after permitting runs in each of the game's first two innings to pitch into the seventh for the second time in four starts, falling in line for the victory when Baltimore took the lead in the fourth. The 31-year-old has now completed seven innings or allowed two runs or fewer in each of his last five turns, accumulating a 2.76 ERA in 32.2 innings. Lyles is tentatively scheduled to take the mound against Tampa Bay on Sunday for a final start before the All-Star break.

Kluber (5-5) earned the win Tuesday over Boston, striking out seven in six innings while allowing two runs on four hits and a walk.

Kluber faced the minimum through the first four innings, striking out five and eliminating the lone baserunner on a double-play ball. After allowing two singles, he gave up a two-run triple to Bobby Dalbec with two outs in the fifth. The seven strikeouts were his most in a start since he recorded eight in a game May 16. Should he get another start before the All-Star break, it would be Sunday against Baltimore.

Sale struck out five in five scoreless innings while allowing three hits and a walk in a 3-2 loss Tuesday in Tampa Bay. He did not factor into the decision.

In his season debut for the Red Sox, Sale scattered three hits and a walk and tossed 53 of his 78 pitches for strikes. He left the game with a 2-0 lead, but the Red Sox bullpen allowed three runs in the sixth, denying Sale the opportunity to earn the win. The lefty was reportedly capped at 85 pitches, so it's no surprise he was pulled after five. While the Red Sox have not yet made an official announcement on the weekend's starters, it's possible Sale could start Sunday against the Yankees.

Manning (biceps/shoulder) reported to Single-A Lakeland to begin a rehab assignment Tuesday and threw two scoreless innings.

The right-hander has been on the shelf since mid-April, but he's now entered the final stage of his rehab program. According to Jason Beck of MLB.com, Manning is expected to move up to Triple-A Toledo for another rehab outing this weekend, assuming he checks out fine after Tuesday's appearance.

Flexen won't start as scheduled Tuesday at Washington since the game was postponed due to inclement weather.

The right-hander last started July 4 in San Diego and delivered 6.2 scoreless innings, and he'll have to wait another day before retaking the mound due to some severe weather. The game is being made up via a doubleheader Wednesday, and Flexen figures to start one of those contests. The postponement means it's likely to be his last outing before the All-Star break.

Kikuchi (neck) threw a bullpen session Tuesday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Kikuchi isn't eligible to return from the 15-day injured list this week after he was deactivated July 7 due to a neck strain, but the fact that he's back on the mound already suggests he won't be in store for an extended absence. Even if he remains uninhibited as he builds back up from the injury, Kikuchi may not be guaranteed a spot in the Toronto rotation upon his return from the IL. The veteran southpaw was productive over a stretch of five starts in May, but he's mostly struggled in his other 11 outings on the season. He'll carry a 5.12 ERA and 1.57 WHIP into the All-Star break.

Gausman (ankle) threw a bullpen session Tuesday and could be an option to start Thursday's home game against the Royals, Scott Mitchell of TSN.ca reports.

Gausman hasn't pitched since exiting his July 2 start against the Rays after suffering a bruised right ankle when he was struck by a comebacker, but the Blue Jays continue to delay any potential move to the injured list. The team is seemingly hopeful that he'll be ready to return to the rotation for the final series before the All-Star break, but a decision on his status might not be made until the Blue Jays get a chance to re-evaluate him Wednesday. If Gausman isn't ready to pitch against Kansas City, rookie Max Castillo would likely receive another turn through Toronto's rotation.

Montas (shoulder) felt good after a 25-pitch bullpen session Tuesday and hopes to start during the three-game series against the Astros this weekend, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

The right-hander had a throwing session Saturday and has now completed a successful bullpen session. The A's have refrained from placing Montas on the 15-day injured list due to the shoulder inflammation to this point, and it appears he's on track to re-enter the rotation without being placed on the shelf.

The Red Sox optioned Bello to Triple-A Worcester on Tuesday, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Bello made two starts during his first big-league stint and allowed nine runs in eight innings while striking out seven and walking six. The prospect could probably use more seasoning after he filled in for Boston's injury-riddled rotation.
