Slaten (undisclosed) has been activated from the 7-day injured list at High-A Hickory.

Slaten, the No. 86 overall pick in the 2019 First-Year Player Draft, has struggled since his professional debut. He had a 6.46 ERA in rookie ball in 2019 and has a 6.35 ERA and 46:31 K:BB in 34 innings at Double-A this season.

Syndergaard allowed three runs on three hits and four walks while striking out three in four innings in a no-decision versus the Astros on Tuesday.

The four walks were a season high for Syndergaard. He gave up a two-run home run to Aledmys Diaz in the first inning and an RBI single to Alex Bregman in the first. Despite the poor start, Syndergaard avoided the loss as the Angels rallied to tie the game in the seventh. He's given up 14 runs in his last 23.1 innings, hitting a rough patch in the middle of the season. He has a 4.00 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 58:20 K:BB across 74.1 innings overall across 14 starts. This was the right-hander's last start before the All-Star break, so he'll have an extended gap between outings to get himself back on track.

Garcia allowed a run on one hit and three walks while striking out seven over six innings in a no-decision versus the Angels on Tuesday.

Garcia probably deserved a win Tuesday, but Phil Maton and Rafael Montero allowed the Angels to pull even in the seventh inning. With the no-decision, Garcia's four-start win streak came to an end despite a quality start in one of his best outings of the season. The right-hander has a 3.65 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 94:25 K:BB through 88.2 innings in 16 outings overall. With the Astros currently using a six-man rotation, this was likely Garcia's last start before the All-Star break.

Kaprielian registered a no-decision during Tuesday's 14-7 victory over Texas, allowing three runs on four hits and one walk with four strikeouts in five innings.

Kaprielian settled down after surrendering a two-run Marcus Semien homer in the first to allow only one more run on three baserunners over the next four frames. The mediocre start snapped a two-game streak of six innings and one run surrendered for the 28-year-old, who now possesses a 5.09 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 45 strikeouts in 69 innings. He tentatively lines up for one last start Sunday in Houston before the All-Star break.

Martin (1-3) was charged with the loss in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader at Cleveland after giving up four runs on eight hits with three strikeouts and two walks over six innings. He was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte after the twin bill.

The right-hander served as the 27th man for the doubleheader and kept the White Sox within striking distance during the matinee, but he received minimal offensive support. Martin has a 4.67 ERA across 27 big-league innings this year and should remain in the mix as a potential spot starter later in the season.

Cole gave up four hits, a walk and no earned runs while striking out 11 over seven innings in a 4-3 loss to the Reds on Tuesday. He did not factor into the decision.

Cole bounced back from a rough start his last time out against the Red Sox, when he was tagged for five earned runs to pitch a scoreless gem. The 31-year-old right-hander left the game in line for his ninth win of the season, but the Yankees bullpen struggled in relief, so he was forced to settle for the no-decision. Cole ranks third in MLB with 135 strikeouts on the year and continues to live up to his status as a consensus first-round fantasy pick.

Berrios (7-4) gave up three earned runs on six hits and no walks while striking out 13 over six innings to earn the win in a 4-3 victory over the Phillies on Tuesday.

Berrios matched his season-high strikeout total en route to his second quality start in a row and his seventh win of the campaign. The 28-year-old right-hander had struggled immensely over the first three months of the season since signing a contract extension with the Blue Jays in the off-season. Even with this performance against the Phillies, Berrios has a bloated 5.38 ERA on the year and it will take many more quality outings to bring his numbers back down to where they had consistently been from 2017 to 2021. His 20 swings-and-misses over six frames show that he has the stuff to take his game to another level if he can put it all together.

Bubic allowed three runs on eight hits and two walks with five strikeouts in 5.2 innings, taking a no-decision versus the Tigers on Tuesday.

Bubic was able to correct his control issues from his previous start, when he walked six batters. He threw 69 of 99 pitches for strikes Tuesday. He ended up instead leaving too many pitches in easy-to-hit spots, as the eight hits were the second-highest total he's given up this year. The southpaw was able to effectively limit the damage, as the Tigers put up two runs in the second inning and one more in the fifth against him. Bubic has a 6.63 ERA, 1.86 WHIP and 47:34 K:BB through 54.1 innings in 14 outings (13 starts). It's questionable if he'll get another start before the All-Star break -- Bubic could pitch Sunday versus the Blue Jays if Daniel Lynch (finger) can't start, but the Royals' pitching plans aren't currently known.

Faedo, who was optioned to Triple-A Toledo after starting Monday for the Tigers, may not pitch again prior to the All-Star break due to right hip soreness, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Faedo originally dealt with the hip issue last week but was cleared to start Monday, but he surrendered four runs over 1.2 innings and was demoted after the contest. The right-hander could make his way to the injured list if the Tigers opt to limited his workload for a week or two.

Lyles (6-7) earned the win during Tuesday's 4-2 victory over the Cubs, allowing two runs on seven hits and one walk with five strikeouts in seven innings.

Lyles settled down after permitting runs in each of the game's first two innings to pitch into the seventh for the second time in four starts, falling in line for the victory when Baltimore took the lead in the fourth. The 31-year-old has now completed seven innings or allowed two runs or fewer in each of his last five turns, accumulating a 2.76 ERA in 32.2 innings. Lyles is tentatively scheduled to take the mound against Tampa Bay on Sunday for a final start before the All-Star break.
