Cueto (7-8) gave up five earned runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out three over 4.2 innings to take the loss in a 10-3 defeat against the Athletics on Sunday.

Cueto got off to a decent start and came into the fifth inning having only given up one run, but his appearance quickly unraveled from there. He allowed three straight hits to make it a 5-2 game for the Athletics. Cueto's defense didn't do him any favors. He appeared to be out of the inning on a routine foul popup by Ramon Laureano, but Leury Garcia dropped the ball and Laureano took advantage by hitting a two-run home run. Cueto now has a losing record on the year despite 2022 being his best season since 2016. He will look to bounce back in his next expected start at Detroit.

Perez (11-6) gave up one earned run on six hits and two walks while striking out seven over six innings to earn the win in a 4-1 victory over the Blue Jays on Sunday.

Perez continued his strong 2022 campaign with a quality start that ended the Blue Jays' three-game winning streak. Perez never got into any serious trouble and lowered his ERA to 2.77 with the outing. The veteran left-hander is in the midst of a career season and if he can continue to pitch the way he has, he will end the year with a sub-3.00 ERA for the first time. He is tentatively expected to make his next start at Tampa Bay.

Brown is scheduled to start Tuesday's game at Detroit.

The rookie right-hander will pick up a second turn through Houston's rotation coming off a dazzling MLB debut against the Rangers on Sept. 5, when he struck out five over six scoreless frames. Though Brown looks to be an attractive streaming option against a hapless Detroit offense, he could be moved to the bullpen following Tuesday's outing. Justin Verlander (calf) appears to be trending toward a return from the 15-day injured list during the upcoming weekend, making Brown the most logical candidate to move out of the six-man rotation to clear a spot.

Bradish (3-6) allowed one run on two hits and two walks over seven innings Sunday, striking out three and taking a loss against Boston.

After coughing up an RBI sacrifice fly to Xander Bogaerts in the first inning, Bradish turned in six scoreless innings. Unfortunately for him, the Orioles were shut out in the 1-0 loss. Bradish has given up three or fewer runs in nine consecutive starts, posting a 2.84 ERA during that stretch. He's lowered his season ERA to 5.01 with a 90:36 K:BB across 97 innings. Bradish is lined up to start in Toronto next weekend.

Singer (8-4) earned the victory Sunday over Detroit, striking out six in seven scoreless innings while allowing four hits and a walk.

Three of the five baserunners Singer allowed reached in the first two innings, but he settled down and scattered two hits over his final five frames, retiring 10 straight at one point. It was the seventh time in his last 11 starts that he allowed one or fewer runs and pitched at least six innings. During that span, he's gone 5-1 and compiled a 2.21 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 68:18 K:BB in 69 innings. His next start will likely be next weekend in Boston.

Hill (7-6) allowed two hits and three walks over five scoreless innings Sunday, striking out seven and earning a win over Baltimore.

Hill let just one Oriole reach scoring position during his dominant victory. Since his last win Aug. 27, the veteran southpaw had been tagged for nine runs over eight frames in two appearances. However, with the standout performance Sunday, he lowered his ERA to 4.56 alongside an 86:33 K:BB across 22 starts this season. Hill is expected to face the Royals at home next week.

Gonzales didn't factor into the decision during Sunday's 8-7 win against the Braves, allowing one run on two hits with five strikeouts in six innings.

Gonzales limited Atlanta's potent offense to an Austin Riley solo shot in the third inning and departed in line for his fourth win in five turns with a 6-1 lead. The typically solid Seattle bullpen would go on to surrender six combined runs in the eighth and ninth to eliminate Gonzales from the ledger despite his second-best game score of the campaign at 69. During his last five starts, the 30-year-old has permitted only nine runs and 28 baserunners in 30.1 innings to drop his ERA from 4.18 to 3.89. Gonzales is projected to take the mound again next weekend against the Angels.

Garcia (12-8) earned the win Sunday, allowing three runs on eight hits and no walks over five innings against the Angels. He struck out four.

Despite making a couple of mistakes with home runs off the bats of Andrew Velazquez and Shohei Ohtani, Garcia earned the win as the Astros scored 12 runs on the day. The win was his 12th of the season and fourth in his last five starts. Despite the recent wins, Garcia has not been at his best in the second half, as he owns a 4.87 ERA in 46.2 innings since the All-Star break after delivering a 3.65 ERA in the first half.

German issued one walk and struck one batter in a scoreless inning against the Rays on Sunday.

German was starting on short rest and threw just 14 pitches while the Yankees ended up using eight pitchers in the blowout win. He lowered his season ERA to 3.21 with a 39:13 K:BB through 56 frames. German's next outing will likely be in Milwaukee next weekend.

Bieber (10-8) earned the win Sunday, allowing one run on five hits and one walk over 6.1 innings against the Twins. He struck out seven.

The Cleveland ace extended his quality-start streak to nine games en route to his 10th victory on the season. While he has only 10 wins, Sunday was his 21st quality start, indicating that he has been a victim of poor run support this year. He will take a 2.91 ERA into his next start, which is slated to come at home versus the Twins.
