Gibson could have his next start moved up a day to Tuesday versus the Rangers after scheduled starter Tyler Wells had to be used in relief Monday, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Wells was thrust into duty after Kyle Bradish exited with a foot contusion. Gibson would be on normal rest Tuesday, so the easiest solution would be to push him up a day and then find another starter for Wednesday. The Orioles should announce their intentions soon.

Kirby (0-1) took the loss Monday, allowing four runs on nine hits and one walk over 4.1 innings against the Angels. He struck out five.

Kirby pitched around trouble in the each of the first four innings, surrendering RBI singles to Luis Rengifo in the second and fourth, but he was knocked out of the game in the fifth after serving up a two-run homer to Shohei Ohtani. Kirby posted 3.39 ERA and 1.21 WHIP with 133 strikeouts over 130 innings in his rookie 2022 campaign, and he figures to be a prominent piece of Seattle's rotation in 2023. The 2019 first-round pick is scheduled to pitch again Sunday in Cleveland.

Detmers did not factor into the decision Monday, allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits and three walks over 4.2 innings against the Mariners. He struck out seven.

Detmers struggled with his command, but his stuff looked good and induced plenty of swinging strikes. Last year, his first full MLB season, the left-hander posted a 3.77 ERA and 1.21 WHIP with 122 strikeouts over 129.0 innings, and he is firmly entrenched in the Angels' rotation in 2023. Detmers is scheduled to pitch again Sunday at home versus the Blue Jays.

Rasmussen (1-0) earned the win over Washington on Monday, yielding two hits and no walks while striking out seven batters over six scoreless innings.

Rasmussen was very efficient in his first outing of the season, needing only 66 pitches to make it through six fames. The right-hander surrendered just a pair of singles and threw 50 of 66 pitches for strikes en route to the win. Rasmussen has been somewhat undervalued in fantasy despite posting a 2.84 ERA and 1.04 WHIP as a full-time starter last season, but more appearances like Monday's could help him develop more hype. He's tentatively scheduled to face a weak-hitting Oakland offense at home in his next start.

Cortes (1-0) earned the win over Philadelphia on Monday, allowing one run on seven hits and no walks over five innings. He struck out three batters.

Cortes gave up multiple hits in three of his five frames, but the Phillies managed just one run off him. With the Yankees up 8-1 after five innings and with Cortes having thrown just 11.1 frames this spring, manager Aaron Boone elected to go to the bullpen, which preserved the big lead to hand the southpaw the win in his season debut. Cortes threw 80 pitches in the outing, so he should be capable of handling a nearly full workload his next time out, which is tentatively scheduled to be in Baltimore this weekend.

Mahle (1-0) earned the win over Miami on Monday, pitching five innings and allowing one run on five hits and one walk while striking out seven batters.

Mahle had an uneven performance in spring training, posting a 5.09 ERA over 17.2 innings. He didn't let that carry over into the regular season, however, as the right-hander opened the campaign with a seven-strikeout, one-run performance that earned him a win. Mahle's 2022 season was marred by injury and inconsistency, resulting in a 4.40 ERA and 1.22 WHIP. However, he went 13-6 with a 3.75 ERA and 10.5 K/9 the year prior, and a return to that level would make him a staple on fantasy rosters in all formats.

Kaprielian allowed five runs on seven hits and two walks over five frames during Monday's loss to Cleveland. He struck out five and did not factor in the decision.

Kaprielian was actually in line for the win before Oakland's bullpen fell apart late. The 29-year-old righty gave up two runs in the first inning followed by three in the fourth, including Josh Naylor's solo shot. Kaprielian tossed 61 of 89 pitches for strikes, including 12 whiffs. Last season, he forced 12 or more swinging strikes in five of his 26 starts. He's lined up to start in Tampa Bay this weekend.

Boyd yielded two runs on two hits and three walks over 4.1 innings during Monday's win over Houston. He struck out three and did not factor in the decision.

Boyd kept the Astros' offense tame until they finally broke through in the fifth. He gave up one run on a Jeremy Pena groundout and was charged with another when Yordan Alvarez took Jose Cisnero deep. Boyd forced just six whiffs on 35 swings. He's expected to face the Red Sox at home this weekend.

Brown yielded four runs on six hits and three walks over 4.2 innings during Monday's loss to Detroit. He struck out five and did not factor in the decision.

Brown gave up two runs through four frames before running into trouble in the fifth. After striking out the first two batters of the inning, he put the next four Tigers on base, including three walks. His fastball topped out at 98.5 mph and he forced eight swinging strikes. Brown will look for better command and results in his next outing, which is currently scheduled for this weekend in Minnesota.

Gray (0-1) allowed two runs on four hits and two walks over 6.1 innings Monday, striking out seven and taking a loss against Baltimore.

Gray was on the wrong side of a one-hitter and fell to 0-1 right out of the gate with a tough-luck loss. He rolled through three scoreless innings before coughing up solo shots to Gunnar Henderson and Jorge Mateo in the fourth and fifth frames, respectively. Gray forced 13 swinging strikes, including six with the slider. He's lined up for a road start against the Cubs this weekend.
