Perez (1-1) was charged with Saturday's 10-3 loss to the Cubs after allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits while striking out five over five innings.

Perez grinded through five innings while getting little support from a defense that made two errors behind him. The team made three more errors after Perez departed and had nearly as many errors (five) as hits (seven). The lefty's next outing is expected during the weekend series in Houston, either Friday or Saturday.

Rucinski (hamstring) threw a 40-pitch side session Saturday and is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday, the team's official site reports.

The 32-year-old will be ticketed for approximately three innings and 45 pitches in his first rehab outing. If all continues without setbacks, Rucinski projects to make a late-April season debut.

Detmers didn't factor in the decision during Sunday's 12-11 loss to the Blue Jays, giving up five runs (four earned) on five hits with five strikeouts and two walks over five-plus innings.

The 23-year-old carried a 6-0 lead through five innings, but the Blue Jays came alive in the sixth on the back of a grand slam from Matt Chapman. Detmers generated 11 whiffs and threw 58 of his 89 pitches for strikes. In his first two starts of 2023 he's allowed eight runs (six earned) with a 12:5 K:BB across 9.2 innings.

Kikuchi allowed six runs on nine hits and one walk across 4.1 innings during Sunday's extra-inning win against the Angels. He struck out six and did not factor in the decision.

Kikuchi surrendered three home runs and put Toronto in a 6-0 hole after four innings, but the offense rallied to take him off the hook for the loss. The left-hander gave up just one run in five frames during his season debut but allowed significant hard contact Sunday, though he did generate 14 swinging strikes. A matchup versus the Rays likely awaits for Kikuchi next weekend.

Rasmussen (2-0) earned the win Sunday, allowing one hit and no walks over seven scoreless innings against the Athletics. He struck out eight.

Rasmussen has had a pair of favorable matchups to begin the season, as he struck out seven in six scoreless frames against the Nationals on Monday prior to Sunday's gem against Oakland. Regardless of his opponents, he's allowed just three baserunners while striking out 15 in 13 scoreless innings to earn back-to-back wins. The righty posted a 2.84 ERA and 1.04 WHIP over 28 starts last year, and he's shown no signs of slowing down in 2023. Rasmussen tentatively lines up for a slightly tougher test on the road against Toronto his next time out, but he's still a solid fantasy play given his dominance over his first two starts.

Kaprielian (0-1) took the loss Sunday, allowing seven runs on seven hits and three walks over 4.2 innings against the Rays. He struck out six.

Kaprielian gave up five runs in five innings during his season debut against the Guardians on Monday, and he wasn't able to generate much production during Sunday's series finale against the undefeated Rays. He allowed just one run over the first three innings but gave up six runs between the fourth and fifth frames before being pulled. The right-hander tentatively lines up to make his next start at home against the Mets next weekend.

Boyd (0-1) took the loss Sunday, allowing two runs on five hits and four walks over 4.2 innings in a 4-1 loss to Boston. He struck out four.

Boyd also gave up two runs during his season debut against the Astros on Monday, but he was able to settle for the no-decision in that outing. However, the Tigers mustered just one run during Sunday's series finale, so Boyd was charged with his first loss of the season after giving up runs in the second and fifth innings. The southpaw tentatively lines up to make his next start at home against the Giants on Saturday.

Crawford (1-1) earned the win Sunday, allowing one run on five hits and no walks over five innings against Detroit. He struck out six.

Crawford was roughed up during his season debut Monday against Pittsburgh, allowing seven runs in four innings to take the loss. However, he bounced back in a favorable matchup against the Tigers to earn his first win of the year. While he gave up a run in the bottom of the first inning, he settled down later in the outing and got some help from Boston's offense in the 3-1 victory. Despite Crawford's solid outing Sunday, it's possible he heads to the bullpen or gets sent down since Garrett Whitlock (hip) will make his season debut Tuesday.

Serna remains at extended spring training for the start of the minor-league season while he works through right shoulder fatigue, Jim Callis of MLB.com reports.

Serna made his professional debut at the rookie-ball level last season, submitting a 1.96 ERA and 56:17 K:BB in 41.1 innings. Based on that performance, the 18-year-old right-hander looked like a candidate to begin the 2023 campaign with a full-season affiliate, but the Yankees will take it slowly with him while he tends to what appears to be a minor shoulder injury. Serna could still report to Single-A Tampa once the Yankees feel comfortable with where he's at on the health front.

Wells (0-1) yielded four runs on six hits through six innings in Sunday's loss to the Yankees. He struck out six.

In his latest outing, Wells got off to a rocky start, allowing two hits and an RBI single in the first inning. The 28-year-old settled in, showing decent efficiency by throwing 60 of 91 pitches for strikes. However, Wells could not avoid the long ball, yielding a solo homer to Aaron Judge in the third and a two-run shot to Franchy Cordero in the fifth. Wells now holds a 3.27 ERA with 10 strikeouts through 11 innings. Despite those numbers, the recent call-up of Grayson Rodriguez may return Wells to a relief role once starter Kyle Bradish (foot) returns from injury.
