White Sox's Fraser Ellard: Sent to injured list
The White Sox placed Ellard (hamstring) on the 15-day injured list Friday.
Ellard struck out two and walked one over one inning of work Wednesday against the Guardians, but he'll miss at least the next couple weeks. Alexis Diaz RP | TEX
Reds' Alexis Diaz: Ready for back-to-back appearances
Diaz (hamstring) will make back-to-back appearances with Triple-A Louisville on Friday and Saturday, Charlie Goldsmith of the Dayton Daily News reports.
This sets Diaz up for a return early next week, assuming he bounces back well from the back-to-backs. Reds manager Terry Francona has said on multiple occasions that he wants to get Diaz back in the closer role eventually, but it's not a lock that the right-hander will immediately reclaim ninth-inning duties. The hamstring injury affected Diaz's command and control in spring training, as evidenced by his five walks in 3.1 Cactus League innings.

John Schreiber and Lucas Erceg will handle setup duties ahead of Carlos Estevez while Harvey is sidelined.

Xzavion Curry RP | MIA
Marlins' Xzavion Curry: Booted from 40-man roster
The Marlins designated Curry for assignment Friday.
A spot on the 40-man roster was needed for the addition of catcher Rob Brantly. Curry has yielded four runs (two earned) over three innings out of the Marlins' bullpen this season. He has previously been outrighted off the 40-man roster, so Curry will have the option to elect free agency if he clears waivers again.

The Rays recalled Sulser from Triple-A Durham on Friday, Ryan Bass of FanDuel Sports Network Sun reports.
Sulser takes the roster spot of Kevin Kelly, who was placed on the 15-day IL with a glute strain. Sulser appeared in 10 games for the Mets and Rays last season, making a pair of starts and registering a 2.76 ERA and 15:9 K:BB across 16.1 innings. Liam Hendriks RP | MIN
Red Sox's Liam Hendriks: Shines in rehab outing
Hendriks (elbow) allowed one run and struck out three over a scoreless inning for Triple-A Worcester on Thursday.
Hendriks started the game and worked around a soft roller (63.4 mph) to third that resulted in a single. The right-hander threw 18 pitches (13 strikes) in his first rehab outing after a rocky spring. He told reporters he felt good following the game and believed he located pitches better than he had during spring training, per Greg Dudek of NESN.com. Hendriks will likely get a few more rehab appearances before joining the Red Sox. He may serve as a bridge to closer Aroldis Chapman, although save opportunities could come his way when manager Alex Cora wants a righty.
