Snider (1-1) got the win against the White Sox on Saturday, allowing two hits and recording a strikeout over a scoreless inning.

Snider got an early fifth-inning call after starter Bryan Woo exited following 70 pitches due to hamstring tightness. Snider navigated some trouble in his one frame, wiggling out of a jam by retiring Andrew Vaughn and Andrew Benintendi with men on second and third. The 28-year-old right-hander now has scoreless efforts in five of the last six appearances, and he's whittled his ERA back down to an elite 1.59 across 17 innings.

The Padres acquired Adam from the Rays on Sunday in exchange for right-hander Dylan Lesko, outfielder Homer Bush and catcher J.D. Gonzalez, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Adam had shined in a high-leverage role out of the Tampa Bay bullpen this season, logging a 2.49 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 50:16 K:BB across 47 innings while recording four saves and 19 holds. With the Rays, Adam appeared to be next in line for saves behind closer Pete Fairbanks, and he'll likely find himself in a similar spot in the bullpen hierarchy in San Diego. The Padres have leaned on Robert Suarez as their primary closer this season, and he's done nothing to lose job security while rolling to a 1.51 ERA and 23 saves in 26 chances this season.

Ferguson picked up the save over the Angels on Saturday, pitching a perfect ninth inning while striking out one.

Ferguson was again tasked with closer duties Saturday due to Mason Miller being out with an hand fracture and did not disappoint, needing only seven pitches to retire the side and secure his second save of the season. The right-handed Ferguson hasn't allowed a run in his last seven appearances and has pitched perfect ninth innings in each of his last two outings. Ferguson has also posted at least one strikeout in eight consecutive appearances.

The Brewers activated Williams (back) from the 60-day injured list ahead of Sunday's game against the Marlins, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

The 29-year-old is ready for his 2024 MLB debut after missing the first four months of the campaign while recovering from a pair of stress fractures in his back. Williams delivered four scoreless frames with a 6:2 K:BB during his four-game rehab assignment. It's possible the right-hander is eased into high-leverage spots early on, but he should fully reclaim closing duties from Trevor Megill in short order.

Spence (7-6) picked up the win over the Angels on Saturday, allowing one run on three hits and two walks over six innings while striking out three.

Spence allowed two men to reach in the opening frame but was able to work his way out of the jam before going on to allow a solo homer from Nolan Schanuel in the third. That would be the only run allowed by the right-hander on the night as he induced 11 whiffs en route to securing his second straight win. Spence has allowed two or fewer runs in three of his last five starts and now has three wins in July. However, he's also walked multiple batters in three straight, posting a 12:10 K:BB over that stretch.

The Orioles optioned Baker to Triple-A Norfolk following Saturday's game against the Padres.

Baker was initially recalled by the Orioles on Thursday. In his lone outing Saturday against San Diego, the 29-year-old right-hander allowed one run on two hits while striking out one in one inning. The move makes room on the 26-man roster for right-hander Zach Eflin, whom Baltimore acquired from Tampa Bay on Friday.

Hodge tossed 1.1 scoreless innings of relief in Saturday's 9-4 win against the Royals to earn a hold. He struck out one.

Hodge has been sharp for the Cubs in his MLB debut season, posting a strong 2.14 ERA and 0.86 WHIP with 23 strikeouts across 21 innings. He's also recorded five holds and a save. Hodge has the look of a capable closer, though Chicago has gone with veteran Hector Neris in that role for much of the year. However, if the team continues to fall out of playoff contention, it could give the 23-year-old rookie a chance to take over, particularly if Neris happens to be traded by Tuesday's deadline.

Phillips (3-0) picked up the win Saturday in an 8-0 victory over the Guardians, allowing only four hits and a walk over nine shutout innings. He struck out four.

Making just his third career big-league start, the right-hander produced the first shutout by a Phillies rookie since Zach Eflin in 2016. Phillips tossed 105 pitches (71 strikes) in the impressive performance, and his scoreless streak stands at 15 innings after he blanked the Bucs in his previous outing. The Phillies could be looking for rotation help at the trade deadline with Ranger Suarez (back) joining Taijuan Walker (finger) on the IL, but Phillips is proving he can fill one of those spots quite capably. The 26-year-old will take a 1.80 ERA, 0.76 WHIP and 19:2 K:BB through 25 innings into his next start, which lines up to come on the road next weekend in Seattle.

Walker (7-3) allowed a run on one hit and one walk over one inning but earned the win in Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader versus the Rockies.

Walker allowed a game-tying solo home run to Michael Toglia in the top of the seventh inning, but the Giants took the lead right back in their half of the frame. It'll count as the fourth blown save of the year for Walker, three of which have come in July. He's allowed five runs over 12.2 innings this month, raising his season ERA to 2.43 with a 0.93 WHIP and 65:13 K:BB through 55.2 innings overall. He's also earned 19 holds and while settling into a setup role, and he continues to have appeal in fantasy with strong strikeout numbers.

Hader (4-5) didn't allow a baserunner across a scoreless ninth inning to earn the win Saturday against the Dodgers.

Hader entered the game in the ninth inning with the score tied at 6-6. He retired the side on only nine pitches to turn in his sixth consecutive scoreless appearance. This was also Hader's first win since May 21.
