  • Mets' Justin Hagenman: Moves up from Triple-A

The Mets recalled Hagenman from Triple-A Syracuse on Monday.

Hagenman will provide the New York bullpen with another right-handed option who's capable of covering multiple innings, but his usage will likely be limited to lower-leverage spots. Through seven appearances (one start) with the Mets this season, Hagenman has submitted a 3.26 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 20:2 K:BB over 19.1 innings.

  • Chase Lee RP | DET

Tigers' Chase Lee: Gets September call-up

The Tigers recalled Lee from Triple-A Toledo on Monday.

The 27-year-old righty sits around 89 miles per hour with his two fastballs and leans heavily on his wipeout 80-mph sweeper. Lee has a 4.10 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, 36 strikeouts and four wins in 37.1 innings out of the big-league bullpen this season.

  • Zack Kelly RP | BOS

Red Sox's Zack Kelly: Receives September call-up

The Red Sox recalled Kelly from Triple-A Worcester on Monday, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.

Kelly will be back with the Red Sox for the first time since late June, as he had been on the shelf throughout July with an oblique injury before being activated and optioned to Worcester on Aug. 2. Since getting reinstated from the IL, Kelly had posted a meager 5.56 ERA and 1.32 WHIP in 11.1 innings out of the Worcester bullpen, so he'll likely be ticketed for low-leverage relief work with Boston.

  • Yosver Zulueta RP | CIN

Reds' Yosver Zulueta: Summoned to big leagues

The Reds recalled Zulueta from Triple-A Louisville on Monday.

Zulueta will provide manager Terry Francona with another bullpen arm as rosters expand. The right-hander has permitted three runs with a 3:2 K:BB over 5.1 innings during his time with the Reds this season.

  • Joe Jimenez RP | ATL

Braves' Joe Jimenez: Won't pitch in 2025

Atlanta manager Brian Snitker said Aug. 14 that Jimenez (knee) won't return from the 60-day injured list this season, MLB.com reports.

Jimenez will wind up missing the entire 2025 season after he underwent surgery last November to address cartilage damage in his left knee. The reliever initially appeared on track to join Atlanta at some point in the second half after he resumed throwing off a mound in early July, but he experienced a setback with his knee about a month ago that resulted in him getting shut down from throwing. Jimenez will turn his focus to getting healthy for spring training as he heads into the final season of his three-year, $26 million deal in 2026.

  • Osvaldo Bido RP | ATH

Athletics' Osvaldo Bido: Used in bullpen Saturday

Bido struck out a batter and allowed two earned runs on three hits and no walks over 2.1 innings of relief in Saturday's 9-3 loss to the Rangers.

Bido made a three-inning start in his last appearance Tuesday against the Tigers, but he shifted back to the bullpen over the weekend and looks poised to serve as a reliever moving forward. Rookie Mason Barnett entered the Athletics rotation Saturday, and Luis Severino (oblique) is set to be activated from the 15-day injured list Tuesday, so the team won't have a starting spot available for Bido.

  • Porter Hodge RP | CHC

Cubs' Porter Hodge: Allows run in return

Hodge allowed a run on two hits and two walks across an inning of relief in Sunday's loss to the Rockies. He struck out two.

Hodge was recalled from Triple-A Iowa before the game and was making his first MLB appearance since July 8. The righty was a bit fortunate he didn't allow more than the one run, as he walked two batters in an appearance for just the second time this year at the MLB level. After a strong rookie campaign in 2024, Hodge has struggled this season with a 6.93 ERA and 1.66 WHIP across 24.2 innings for the Cubs. With Daniel Palencia emerging as Chicago's closer, Hodge is mostly off the fantasy radar at this point.

  • Steven Cruz RP | KC

Royals' Steven Cruz: Completes another side session

Cruz (shoulder) threw a bullpen session of about 20 pitches Saturday, MLB.com reports.

Cruz has now completed two side sessions since landing on the injured list Aug. 3 and is expected to increase the volume and intensity of his bullpen work during the upcoming week before advancing to facing live hitters. The right-hander will likely require a rehab assignment prior to being activated from the injured list but could be ready to rejoin the Kansas City bullpen around mid-September.

  • Declan Cronin RP | MIA

Marlins' Declan Cronin: Lands on IL at Triple-A

Triple-A Jacksonville placed Cronin on the 7-day injured list Aug. 17 due to an undisclosed injury.

Cronin made 56 appearances out of the Miami bullpen in 2024, but he's pitched exclusively in the minors this season. Before getting shut down at Triple-A, Cronin had submitted a 4.91 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 21:16 K:BB in 22 innings.

  • Ryan Thompson RP | ARI

Diamondbacks' Ryan Thompson: Makes second rehab appearance

Thompson (shoulder) struck out a batter over a perfect inning during his rehab appearance for Triple-A Reno on Friday.

Friday's rehab outing was Thompson's second of the week, and Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo indicated Saturday that the reliever is likely to be activated when rosters expand Monday, per MLB.com. The right-hander has been on the 15-day injured list since July 6 due to a left trapezius strain.
