Chapman has allowed two earned runs across five innings while striking out seven and walking one in Grapefruit League action.

The Pirates signed Chapman with the idea of him being the setup man for David Bednar (lat). He appears to be ready for that role, as he's turned in clean outings in three of his last four appearances. Bednar is expected to avoid the injured list to begin the season, though Chapman would be the leading candidate for saves if Bednar suffers a setback.

The Padres optioned Go to Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday.

Go had been a candidate to pitch in high-leverage situations when he signed a two-year deal with the Padres in January, but he will instead head to the minors after giving up six runs in 4.1 innings during Cactus League play. Go's stay in the minors doesn't figure to be a long one -- it's likely San Diego promotes him to its bullpen once the 25-year-old is able to build some positive momentum versus Triple-A hitters.

The Padres placed Otto on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a right teres major strain.

Otto didn't pitch at all in the Cactus League after experiencing problems in his shoulder toward the beginning of camp. He has yet to resume throwing since getting injured, making it likely he spends more than the minimum 15 days on the IL.

The Padres placed Patino on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with right elbow inflammation.

Patino made two appearances during spring training, surrendering five earned runs in just 2.1 innings of work. He'll spend at least the first two weeks of the season on the IL, and it's likely Patino is optioned to Triple-A El Paso once he's healthy.

The Dodgers placed Graterol on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with right shoulder inflammation.

It had already been announced that Graterol wouldn't be available for Los Angeles' series against the Padres in South Korea, so it's unsurprising to see the 25-year-old begin the year on the IL. Barring a setback in his recovery, Graterol should be able to rejoin the Dodgers' bullpen when eligible in early April.

The Dodgers placed Treinen on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a bruised lung.

Treinen made the trip to South Korea for Los Angeles' opening series against the Padres, but he will have to wait until at least April to make his first appearance since 2022. Manager Dave Roberts previously said he expected Treinen to make the Opening Day roster, so it's likely Treinen will only be on the IL for the minimum 15 days. Landon Knack was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City in a corresponding move.

Reid-Foley has been dealing with arm fatigue but threw a bullpen session Tuesday and is expected to pitch in a game later this week, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

The right-hander finished last season on the injured list with a lat strain, and he'd recently been battling arm fatigue after he entered camp healthy. Reid-Foley is expected to be ready in time for Opening Day, and he should fill a low-leverage role out of the bullpen for the Mets.

The Phillies optioned Castillo to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

A waiver claim last month, Castillo was roughed up this spring, yielding eight runs on 15 hits and three walks over 11 innings. He should be part of Lehigh Valley's rotation at the beginning of the season.

The Brewers optioned Junk to Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Junk had appeared headed overseas earlier this offseason, but he wound up sticking in the Brewers organization and will report to Nashville to begin the season. The 28-year-old should be part of Nashville's rotation.

Moll allowed two runs on two hits and two walks over one inning in Monday's spring game against the Giants.

Moll, who was delayed by left shoulder soreness, made his spring debut Monday. Despite the results, Moll is a lock for a bullpen spot provided he can build up over the next week.
