Chargois gave up a solo home run while striking out two over one inning in Friday's loss to the Diamondbacks.

The homer was the first run charged to the right-hander this season. It's a small sample size, but Chargois has been strong with his new club, striking out five over 4.2 innings while issuing just one walk (control was an issue during his time with Twins). The 27-year-old offers a mid-90s sinker with big bite, a slider, and a circle change that breaks just like his sinker. Chargois will occupy a middle-relief role for the time being, but if injuries open up a higher-leverage spot in the bullpen at some point this year, he could be a logical fill-in for manager Dave Roberts.

Lamet (elbow) was moved to the 60-day disabled list Saturday, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Lamet is out for the entirety of the 2018 season after electing to undergo Tommy John surgery. He was moved to the 60-day DL in order to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Tyler Webb, who was claimed off waivers from Milwaukee. Assuming a typical recovery timeline, Lamet will be able to return midway through the 2019 season.

Webb was claimed off waivers by the Padres on Saturday.

Webb reached the majors for the first time last season, posting a 5.63 ERA in eight innings. In parts of four seasons at the Triple-A level, the 27-year-old has a 3.69 ERA with a 10.6 K/9 and a 2.5 BB/9. He'll head to Triple-A El Paso but has a decent chance of getting called up to a low-leverage role in the Padres' bullpen at some point this season.

Leone grabbed his second hold in a 5-3 win over the Reds on Friday by getting one out on a pickoff at first base.

Leone threw a scant three pitches to Devin Mesoraco while garnering his second hold of the season, and ultimately he didn't even have to retire him to get his one out. The right-hander instead picked off inherited runner Joey Votto at first base, closing out the frame and preserving the Cardinals' 5-3 lead. The 26-year-old has had a couple of rocky outings thus far, but he's now generated scoreless efforts in four of his last five trips to the mound.

Weiss was sent down to Triple-A Louisville on Saturday, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.

In a corresponding move, the Reds activated Brandon Finnegan (biceps) from the 10-day disabled list. Weiss was previously brought up to the majors earlier this week but only appeared in one game, giving up four earned runs off two home runs and a pair of walks while failing to record an out against St. Louis on Thursday.

Boxberger gave up a hit and struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning Friday to collect his fifth save of the season in an 8-7 win over the Dodgers.

The Diamondbacks already have four one-run wins on the season, giving their new closer plenty of early opportunities to prove himself. Boxberger's risen to the challenge and has yet to give up a run in seven innings while posting a 10:4 K:BB, and his job security is rising with every outing.

Hand recorded the final two outs in Friday's 5-1 win over the Giants to pick up his fifth save of the season.

After Kazuhisa Makita allowed a couple of one-out hits in the top of the ninth inning, Hand came in and promptly got Joe Panik to ground into a double play to end the game. The Padres' closer has put his early-season hiccups firmly behind him and now boasts a 2.35 ERA and 10:4 K:BB through 7.2 innings.

Blach (1-2) took the loss against the Padres on Friday, allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits and a walk over five innings while striking out three.

It's been a bumpy start to the season for the left-hander, who now has a 4.43 ERA and 9:9 K:BB through 20.1 innings. On the bright side, Blach has yet to give up a homer, although all four of his starts so far have come in friendly NL West ballparks (two at home and one in Dodger Stadium before Friday's outing in Petco Park). That could change next week, when he'll likely take the mound for a road start against either the Diamondbacks or Angels, depending on whether Johnny Cueto (ankle) and/or Jeff Samardzija (pectoral) are ready to rejoin the rotation.

Peters (2-1) got the win against Pittsburgh on Friday, giving up two earned runs over six innings on four hits, striking out three and walking two in Miami's 7-2 victory.

After getting blown up for nine earned runs by the Phillies in his last start, Peters was able to rebound and get the victory with the solid showing against the Pirates. It was a strong start and Peters has actually fared well in both his outings this season aside from the blowout against Philadelphia, but at this point he just doesn't have the stuff or track record to be considered for fantasy purposes.

Neris picked up the save against the Rays on Friday, working around one walk without giving up a hit in a clean ninth inning to finish off the Phillies' 2-1 victory.

Neris blew the save in his last outing against the Reds but he was able to bounce back and lock down his second of the year against Tampa Bay. He's still got an unsightly 6.35 ERA and 1.41 WHIP, but those numbers are a bit skewed thanks to one bad performance on Opening Day against Atlanta where he gave up three earned in two-thirds of an inning. He also seems to have job security on his side at this point, as injuries in Philadelphia's bullpen mean he has limited competition for the role.
