Miller was not included on the Cubs' 30-man Opening Day roster.

Miller is on the Cubs' 40-man roster, though he had been working out at the team's alternate site in South Bend during summer camp and was not a serious candidate to make the Opening Day roster. The 24-year-old righty will look to continue his development after advancing to Triple-A for the first time in his career last year.

Alzolay was not included on the Cubs' 30-man Opening Day roster.

Alzolay is on the 40-man roster but will have to settle for working at the team's alternate site in South Bend for now. The 25-year-old appeared in four games for the Cubs last season and could be an option at some point in 2020 if a need arises in the rotation or in long relief.

Morejon did not make the cut for a spot on the Padres' 30-man roster.

Morejon was said to be making a push for a roster spot after looking good in intrasquad action, but the southpaw will instead begin the season at the team's alternate training site. He could be among the primary candidates for a move to the big-league club if the need for a multi-inning reliever or spot starter arises during the season.

Sborz is not included on the Dodgers' 30-man roster.

Sborz struggled in his first major-league stint last season and was never a serious contender for a spot in the Opening Day bullpen. The 26-year-old will instead begin the season at the team's alternate training site.

Santana is part of the Dodgers' Opening Day roster.

Santana struggled in the minors last season but rode a strong spring to a spot on the big-league roster. He'll likely fill a low-leverage role for the Dodgers this season.

Graterol is included on the Dodgers' active 30-man roster.

Though Graterol's chances of making the roster were murky in spring training, his imposing fastball -- he hit triple-digits on the radar gun multiple times in summer camp exhibition games -- ultimately proved too enticing for the Dodgers to pass up. Given his electric stuff, the right-hander could be given a chance to pitch in high-leverage situations before long.

Gonzalez is not a part of the Dodgers' Opening Day roster.

Gonzalez impressed while navigating from High-A to Double-A to Triple-A last season and was awarded with a spot on the 40-man roster, so the Dodgers clearly see him as a future major-league contributor. While the southpaw will open the season at the team's alternate training site, he could be among the first relievers to be moved over to the big-league club should the need for a bullpen arm arise.

Alexander (undisclosed) is part of the Dodgers' Opening Day roster.

Alexander's inclusion comes as a bit of a surprise since he was a late arrival to camp and did not participate in any of the team's three exhibition contests. It remains to be seen whether the southpaw will be ready to pitch immediately or will need a few more days before the team is comfortable sending him to the mound in a game situation.

The Giants recalled Menez from their alternate training site Thursday.

Menez will be one of six lefties included on the Giants' 16-man Opening Day pitching staff. He'll likely slot into a multi-inning, long-relief role for the Giants after working almost exclusively as a starter during his first four seasons of professional baseball.

The Giants selected Garcia's contract Thursday.

Garcia worked almost exclusively as a starter while climbing through the Rockies' system the past four years, but he'll likely slot into long relief for San Francisco in 2020 after joining the club via waivers back in November.
