Bryan Sammons RP | DET
Tigers' Bryan Sammons: Pitches well in bulk role
Sammons allowed one run on two hits across 5.2 innings of relief in Wednesday's 3-2, 10-inning win over the Mariners. He walked two and struck out four.
After opener Beau Brieske tossed 1.1 innings to begin the game, Sammons took over and pitched well, though he left with the Tigers trailing 1-0. While the southpaw was unable to pick up his first MLB win, he did manage to lower his ERA to 3.38 to go along with a stellar 0.70 WHIP across 18.2 innings. If Sammons continues to work behind an opener and pitch well, he could have some fantasy value in deeper formats.

Kenny Rosenberg RP | LAA
Angels' Kenny Rosenberg: Back in minors
The Angels optioned Rosenberg to Triple-A Salt Lake on Wednesday.
Rosenberg threw five innings of one-run ball during his long-relief appearance Tuesday. He'll now be sent back to Triple-A in favor of Brock Burke, who was claimed off waivers from Texas on Tuesday and will provide the Halos' bullpen with another fresh arm.

Lucas Erceg RP | KC
Royals' Lucas Erceg: Impresses with four-out save
Erceg did not allow a baserunner in 1.1 innings en route to earning his fifth save of the season Wednesday against the Twins. He did not record a strikeout.
Erceg was called upon with two runners on and two out in the eighth inning. The 29-year-old promptly induced a groundout to end the threat before pitching a flawless ninth inning to record his second save as a member of the Royals. Erceg has been dominant since coming over from the Athletics at the trade deadline, allowing just three hits over 7.2 scoreless innings with a flawless 8:0 K:BB. Erceg has handled the last two save opportunities and appears to be the closer moving forward with Hunter Harvey (back) on the shelf and James McArthur owning a 5.01 ERA on the season.

Latz (forearm) will throw a bullpen session Thursday, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Lou Trivino RP | PHI
Yankees' Lou Trivino: Starting rehab assignment
Trivino (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Somerset on Wednesday.
Trivino is finally ready for game action after undergoing Tommy John surgery in May 2023. His rehab assignment will likely be a lengthy one, but the reliever could provide aid in a middle-inning role out of the Yankees bullpen down the stretch.

Felix Bautista RP | BAL
Orioles' Felix Bautista: First post-surgery bullpen session
Bautista (elbow) threw a bullpen session Wednesday, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
Bautista threw off the mound for the first time since he had Tommy John surgery last October. He has already been ruled out for a return in 2024, but Bautista should be in store for a relatively normal offseason and enter spring training with little-to-no restrictions.

Liam Hendriks RP | CHC
Red Sox's Liam Hendriks: Could start rehab assignment soon
Hendriks (elbow) could begin a minor-league rehab assignment this weekend, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.
Hendriks got through his third live batting practice session Wednesday, tossing 24 pitches while flashing a fastball that sat around 93-to-94 miles per hour, according to Alex Speier of The Boston Globe, With Hendriks coming out of the live BP session feeling good about his health, he estimated that he'll require about 6-to-8 appearances during his rehab assignment before being activated from the 60-day injured list. Hendriks is coming back from Tommy John surgery, which he had last August.

Dany Jimenez RP | ATL
Athletics' Dany Jimenez: Scored on in third rehab outing
Jimenez (oblique) allowed two earned runs on two hits, a walk, a hit batsman and a wild pitch over one-plus inning in Triple-A Las Vegas' loss to Oklahoma City on Tuesday. He struck out one.
Jimenez saw his ERA dinged for the first time in his three minor-league rehab appearances, as he allowed one run on a wild pitch in the sixth before being charged with a second run after getting the hook following an inning-opening walk in the seventh. The poor control pushed Jimenez's pitch count up to 27, his highest yet by far during his time with the Aviators. It remains to be seen if the Athletics will deem the reliever ready for return despite the rough outing, or whether they'll give Jimenez at least one opportunity to reset himself.

Austin Adams RP | BOS
Athletics' Austin Adams: Gets first win Tuesday
Adams (1-2) got the win against the Mets on Tuesday, firing a scoreless fifth inning during which he recorded two strikeouts.
Adams took over after Joe Boyle exited following 85 pitches over four-plus frames, and the former was able to stop the proverbial bleeding after the Mets had pulled to within three runs. Dating back to July 19, Adams now has scoreless efforts in 10 of his last 11 trips to the mound, posting a 1.04 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, 11.4 K/9, Tuesday's victory and five holds across a span of 8.2 innings.

Cameron Booser RP | TB
Red Sox's Cam Booser: Goes on IL with elbow injury
The Red Sox placed Booser on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with left elbow inflammation, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.
Booser failed to retire any of the three batters he faced in Tuesday's win over the Rangers, but it appears his elbow might have been bothering him in the outing. It's not clear at this point how much time he might miss. Brennan Bernardino was called up from Triple-A Worcester to replace Booser in the bullpen.
