Red Sox's Matt Barnes: Hit with four-game suspension
Barnes has been suspended four games for intentionally throwing at Manny Machado, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.
Barnes will immediately appeal the suspension, so he won't have to sit out until a verdict is given. He'll likely have to miss a few games eventually.

David Hernandez RP | ARI
Angels' David Hernandez: Dealt to Anaheim
Hernandez was traded to the Angels by the Braves on Monday in exchange for a player to be named or cash considerations.
The 31-year-old had been vying for a spot in the Braves' bullpen, but he began the year in Triple-A, posting a 1.12 ERA across seven appearances (eight innings). Expect Hernandez to report to the same level within the Angels organization as he looks to work his way back to the big leagues. Last season, Hernandez made 70 appearances for the Phillies, posting a 3.84 ERA and 1.50 WHIP.

Ryan Garton RP | SEA
Rays' Ryan Garton: Takes loss in first outing
Garton (0-1) gave up two earned runs on three hits and a walk over an inning in Sunday's 6-4 loss to the Astros. He also recorded a strikeout.
Garton surrendered RBI singles to Brian McCann and Yuli Gurriel in the 10th, giving the Astros a two-run advantage that the Rays couldn't overcome in the home half of the frame. It was the 27-year-old righty's first appearance since being called up from Triple-A Durham on Friday following an excellent start to his minor-league campaign (10:4 K:BB, .136 BAA over 6.2 innings) to replace Xavier Cedeno (forearm). Despite the disappointing outcome, with Cedeno expected to miss extended time, Garton should have plenty of opportunities to make up for the stumble.

Alex Colome RP | CHW
Rays' Alex Colome: Blows save in multi-inning outing Sunday
Colome was charged with his first blown save of the season in Sunday's 6-4 loss to the Astros, giving up one run (unearned) on two hits, a walk and a passed ball over two innings.
Colome was brought on in the eighth for a rare two-inning save opportunity, and he worked around a bunt single and walk to escape the frame unscathed. However, a single, a passed ball and an Evan Gattis sacrifice fly allowed the Astros to forge a 4-4 tie. The run was the first he's allowed all season, and he also issued his first free pass of 2017. Despite the disappointing outcome, he's been one of the best ninth-inning options in baseball, as Colome owns four saves with an unblemished ERA and 0.67 WHIP.

Michael Fulmer RP | NYY
Tigers' Michael Fulmer: Cruises to win Sunday
Fulmer (2-1) picked up the win Sunday against the Twins by allowing two earned runs over seven innings. He gave up four hits and a walk while striking out seven.
The Tigers banked seven runs over the first three innings and 13 for the game, so Fulmer got more than enough run support. Fulmer has now tossed a quality start in each of his four outings this season, and he'll look to keep rolling Saturday at home against the White Sox.

Ryan Pressly RP | CHC
Twins' Ryan Pressly: Gives up another home run
Pressly gave up three hits, including a home run, and allowed three runs in two-thirds of an inning in Sunday's loss to Detroit. His ERA rose to 10.80.
Pressly has struggled in April, serving up three home runs in 6.2 innings. He does have six strikeouts and just one walk, so he can improve if he keeps the ball in the park. However, he's not going to compete for saves anytime soon.

Matt Barnes RP | WAS
Red Sox's Matt Barnes: Could face disciplinary action
Barnes was ejected from Sunday's 6-2 win in Baltimore after a pitch that sailed up and in to Manny Machado, Brian MacPherson of the Providence Journal reports. The pitch was viewed as a retaliation for what Boston perceived as Machado's reckless slide into second base Friday that injured Dustin Pedroia (calf).
The Red Sox had been simmering since Friday, and we expected them to take revenge at some point, but it never happened Saturday. It wasn't until Sunday's eighth inning, in what could have been Machado's final at-bat of the series, that Boston retaliated. The ball sailed toward Machado's head, which is not typically how frontier justice is handled in baseball, and the Orioles' third baseman was clearly displeased with its location. Making the situation somewhat bizarre was Pedroia -- who could be seen from Boston's dugout -- telling Machado that it was the team's decision to throw at him, not Pedroia's. At any rate, Barnes could be facing some disciplinary action.

Craig Kimbrel RP | KC
Red Sox's Craig Kimbrel: Closes out Sunday's win
Kimbrel came on to get the final out and notch his seventh save in a 6-2 win over Baltimore on Sunday.
Fernando Abad had been brought in to finish off what looked like an easy win, only to be tagged for three hits and a run before Kimbrel got the dangerous Manny Machcado to pop up. Kimbrel has not generated any tense moments for Boston since his scary save April 9 in Detroit. The right-hander has retired 18 of the last 19 batters he's faced, striking out 12 over 6.1 innings.

Ken Giles RP | ATL
Astros' Ken Giles: Shuts down Rays to convert fifth save
Giles allowed a hit and struck out a batter during a scoreless ninth inning to record his fifth save of the season during Sunday's win over Tampa Bay.
Giles got himself into trouble during a series against the Mariners earlier this season, but he's been excellent otherwise and has now strung together four scoreless appearances with three saves. Houston boasts a potent offensive attack and is currently sporting a 13-6 record, so Giles projects to continue receiving plenty of opportunities to pile up tallies in the saves column.

Matt Andriese RP | MIA
Rays' Matt Andriese: Lasts just five innings against Astros
Andriese allowed three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out four batters over five innings during Sunday's loss to Houston. He did not factor into the decision.
The long ball did Andriese in Sunday, as the two home runs he surrendered accounted for all three runs he allowed. It's been an ongoing problem this year, too, as Andriese has been taken deep in each start and five times total through just 19 innings. With a 5.26 FIP and mediocre 7.9 K/9, it's probably best to view the 27-year-old righty as a matchup-based option. A date with the Blue Jays lines up next for Andriese, and considering Toronto's offensive struggles, he could be a potential low-priced flier in daily contests and streaming option in seasonal settings.
