Matt Andriese RP | MIA
Rays' Matt Andriese: Plays catch Friday
Andriese played catch for the first time since fracturing his hip in early June, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Andriese was finally able to get rid of his crutches this week and starting the beginning of his rehab by playing catch prior to the game against Boston on Friday. The right-hander still has a long way to go before he can begin a rehab assignment in the minors, but this was a necessary step before lengthening his throwing distance over the course of the next week.

Daniel Norris RP | CLE
Tigers' Daniel Norris: Mild groin strain
Norris has been diagnosed with a mild groin strain, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.
The results of Norris' MRI were favorable, and while the Tigers are not offering up an estimated return timetable, it doesn't sound like this injury will force the lefty to miss an extended period. Norris has struggled throughout most of the season, but the Tigers have every incentive to keep the former top prospect in the rotation for the rest of the year to determine whether he's a viable option for 2018.

Emilio Pagan RP | CIN
Mariners' Emilio Pagan: Recalled from Tacoma
Pagan was called up from Triple-A Tacoma on Friday.
Pagan has appeared in four games with the Mariners this season, allowing five earned runs off five hits in 10.2 innings of work. With 11 strikeouts, Pagan has been able to get batters out, and a .173 BABIP with a 0.66 WHIP shows that the southpaw has pitched well during his opportunities. He will likely serve as a middle reliever during his time with the big-league team, while Sam Gaviglio heads back to Tacoma in a corresponding move.

Brad Boxberger RP | CHC
Rays' Brad Boxberger: Impressive once again Thursday
Boxberger logged his second hold in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Red Sox, recording two strikeouts over a scoreless inning.
Making his second appearance in the last three days, Boxberger was dominant once again, firing nine of his 13 pitches for strikes and ringing up multiple strikeouts for the second time in his trio of 2017 outings. The former closer has yet to allow a hit over his three innings, and manager Kevin Cash hasn't hesitated to afford him a normal workload now that Boxberger is finally healthy.

Alex Colome RP | CHW
Rays' Alex Colome: Fires scoreless ninth for 23rd save
Colome pitched a scoreless ninth inning with a strikeout to collect his 23rd save of the season during Thursday's win over Boston.
Colome had allowed at least one run in each of his previous five appearances for an 18.00 ERA and 3.20 WHIP, so this was an encouraging bounce-back showing. Additionally, despite his struggles, Tampa Bay has continued to turn to Colome, and he also collected three saves and a win during that stretch. While he's probably still on watch, it's clear that he has a strong hold on his job.

Taylor Rogers RP | MIN
Twins' Taylor Rogers: Records 20th hold
Rogers threw a scoreless eighth inning in Thursday's win over Baltimore for his 20th hold. He lowered his ERA to 2.20.
He leads MLB in holds and continues to thrive as the primary setup man for closer Brandon Kintzler. Rogers has improve significantly against right-handed batters by allowing a .614 OPS against righties compared to an .811 OPS last season.

Alan Busenitz RP | CIN
Twins' Alan Busenitz: Heading back to Rochester
Busenitz was optioned to Triple-A Rochester after Thursday's game, LaVelle E. Neal III of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
He'll head back to Rochester after a brief two-day stint with the Twins. Busenitz did not get into either game during his time up with the big league club, but does have six total appearances with the Twins this season. The Twins will fill Busenitz's roster spot by recalling Friday's starter, Felix Jorge.

Kendall Graveman RP | ARI
Athletics' Kendall Graveman: Throwing bullpen Thursday
Graveman (shoulder) will throw a 40-pitch bullpen session Thursday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports
His session will be split into two 20-pitch increments as Graveman works his way back from a sore shoulder. He's been on the disabled list since late May but has been making steady progress towards a return. Provided that Thursday's bullpen goes without a hitch, the A's could map out a rehab assignment for him in the near future, which would likely allow him to come off the DL shortly after the All-Star break.

Hector Santiago RP | SEA
Twins' Hector Santiago: MRI comes back clean
Santiago's (back) MRI results showed no structural damage, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
This is good news, as inflammation will likely go away with proper rest. The plan for Santiago as of now is to hold off from throwing until the All-Star break. A firmer timetable for his return should come forth once he gets back into the swing of things.
