Ryan Yarbrough RP | NYY
Rays' Ryan Yarbrough: Set for extended innings Wednesday
Yarbrough is scheduled to enter Wednesday's game against the Nationals in relief of starter Jonny Venters and absorb the bulk of the innings, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Yarbrough's usage has followed a similar pattern in each of his last three appearances, with the lefty coming out of the bullpen to piggyback either Ryne Stanek or Sergio Romo in those games. The unorthodox usage hasn't diminished Yarbrough's effectiveness, as he has gone 1-0 with a 2.37 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 21:4 K:BB in 19 frames over those contests. That type of production warrants a roster spot in just about all deeper mixed leagues.

Zack Littell RP | ARI
Twins' Zack Littell: Rocked for six runs in spot start
Littell (0-1) allowed six runs on six hits and four walks across three innings while taking the loss Tuesday against the White Sox. He recorded one strikeout.
Littell was under siege in the first inning, when he allowed a two-run home run to Jose Abreu before Chicago plated another pair with three straight hits. He didn't allow another run during his time on the mound, but he walked the first two batters in the fourth inning and watched as the bullpen allowed them both to score. Littell was expected to head back to Triple-A Rochester after the start, and this poor performance made that a virtual certainty.

Fernando Rodney RP | ARI
Twins' Fernando Rodney: Secures 13th save
Rodney earned his 13th save with a clean ninth inning during Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the White Sox, recording one strikeout.
Rodney has allowed only six hits and one run over his last 14 outings, and has converted 11 straight saves. The 41-year-old is 13-for-16 in save opportunities and now has a 2.57 ERA and 1.19 WHIP with 20 strikeouts over 21 innings pitched.

Matt Moore RP | BOS
Rangers' Matt Moore: Quality start in no-decision
Moore did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's win over the Athletics, allowing three runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out two over six innings.
The lefty was tagged for a pair of runs in the first inning, but he was able to recover from that point to notch just his second quality start of the year. Moore wasn't missing many bats -- it was the sixth time this season he's struck out two or fewer -- and he yielded three extra-base hits including a home run. Even so, he was able to make it through six innings for the first time since April 17. He'll take an unsightly 7.47 ERA into a start against the Astros on Sunday.

Sean Manaea SP | NYM
Athletics' Sean Manaea: Allows two runs in no-decision
Manaea allowed two runs on four hits and four walks while striking out two over 5.1 innings in Tuesday's loss to the Rangers. He did not factor into the decision.
Manaea left in line for the win and surrendered fewer than three runs for the first time in seven starts, but it was still not the sharpest of outings. The lefty induced only three swinging strikes and threw just 48 of 90 pitches for strikes en route to issuing a season-high four walks and matching a season low with the two punchouts. The 26-year-old also yielded a pair of solo home runs and has now been taken deep at least once in seven straight starts. Following a terrific April that featured a no-hitter, Manaea is sporting a 6.63 ERA since the start of May. Next up is a home start against the Royals on Sunday.

Matt Andriese RP | MIA
Rays' Matt Andriese: 'Filling the gap' in Friday's game
In the words of manager Kevin Cash, Andriese will "fill the gap" in Friday's home game against the Mariners in the wake of Chris Archer's placement on the disabled list with an abdominal injury, Bill Chastain of MLB.com reports.
What that phrase means exactly is a topic for debate. Andriese certainly could play the role of a traditional multi-inning starter, filling in for Archer in the starting rotation, or he could be brought in for an extended relief stint after the opening pitcher if Cash opts to go with a "bullpen day." The exact manner in which he'll be deployed may not become known until later in the week.

Reynaldo Lopez RP | ATL
White Sox's Reynaldo Lopez: Deserves better fate Tuesday
Lopez allowed one hit and four walks while striking out four over seven scoreless innings, but was handed a no-decision in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Twins.
Lopez did his job, leaving after 106 pitches with the White Sox up by two, but Nate Jones ran into trouble in the eighth to take a win off the board. The 24-year-old right-hander has had a couple of shaky outings recently, but has been the White Sox's best starter. He lowered his ERA to 3.42, but he's not getting the support. Eight times he's allowed two runs or fewer and walked away with a loss or a no-decision. He'll will next take the ball Sunday on the road against the Red Sox.

Jalen Beeks RP | TEX
Red Sox's Jalen Beeks: Will start Thursday for Red Sox
Beeks will be called up by the Red Sox to start Thursday's game against the Tigers, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.
Beeks will join the team in Boston for a spot start as manager Alex Cora wants to give the starting rotation an additional day of rest with the team's next off day not until June 18. The 24-year-old has a 2.56 ERA and 0.98 WHIP with a whopping 80 strikeouts over 56.1 innings this season at Triple-A Pawtucket.

Eduardo Paredes RP | DET
Angels' Eduardo Paredes: Brought back to majors
Paredes was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Tuesday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Paredes will offer a fresh bullpen arm after manager Mike Scioscia deployed five relievers in Monday's win over the Royals. The 23-year-old owns a brutal 7.71 ERA and 1.93 WHIP across 9.1 big-league innings this season, so he'll likely be limited to low-leverage work during his time with the Angels. Caleb Cowart was sent to the minors in a corresponding roster move.

Nick Rumbelow RP | SEA
Mariners' Nick Rumbelow: Activated from DL
Rumbelow (neck) was reinstated from the disabled list Tuesday, Tacoma Rainiers broadcaster Mike Curto reports.
Rumbelow is set to make his season debut after recovering from a nerve issue in his neck. In 2017 at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, he posted a 0.62 ERA and 0.83 WHIP with 30 strikeouts across 29 innings out of the bullpen.
