Andrew Kittredge RP | BAL
Rays' Andrew Kittredge: Optioned to Triple-A
Kittredge was optioned to Triple-A Durham on Monday, Juan Toribio of The Athletic Tampa Bay reports.
He logged two scoreless innings while walking two and striking out one Sunday against the Mets, and the fact that he no longer qualifies as a fresh arm likely led to his demotion. Chris Archer was activated ahead of his start as a corresponding move. Kittredge will likely be back up at some point this summer.

Jimmy Yacabonis RP | NYM
Orioles' Jimmy Yacabonis: Recalled ahead of spot start
The Orioles recalled Yacabonis from Triple-A Norfolk ahead of his scheduled start Monday in Game 1 of the team's doubleheader with the Yankees.
Yacabonis is serving as the Orioles' 26th man in the twin bill, so he'll likely be optioned to Norfolk following the outing. In his lone start with Baltimore back on June 28 against the Mariners, Yacabonis lasted just four innings and gave up two runs on six hits and a walk while striking out five.

Keegan Akin RP | BAL
Orioles' Keegan Akin: Returns from groin injury
Akin (groin) started Friday for Double-A Bowie and gave up four runs on three hits and four walks over two innings in an 11-0 loss to Harrisburg.
Akin only missed one turn through the rotation as a result of the groin discomfort he experienced during a June 26 outing. Though he had a rough outing Friday, the 23-year-old has generally been solid in his first season in the Eastern League. Over 87.2 innings with Bowie, Akin has posted a 2.98 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 95 strikeouts.

David Robertson RP | PHI
Yankees' David Robertson: Slams door for second save
Robertson tossed a perfect inning and struck out one Sunday against the Blue Jays, as he picked up his second save of the season.
Robertson was tagged with the loss July 2 after surrendering two runs (one earned) on a home run, but he's bounced back to put together two straight scoreless outings. He'll likely continue to see high-leverage innings moving forward, as he sits with a 3.35 ERA and 1.02 WHIP with an impressive 48:13 K:BB over 40.1 innings.

Ryan Borucki RP | SF
Blue Jays' Ryan Borucki: Tosses seven strong frames
Borucki allowed one run on seven hits and two walks while striking out five across seven innings Sunday against the Yankees, although he didn't factor into the decision.
Borucki surrendered a run in the first inning, but he settled down and put together six scoreless frames to finish off his outing. A lack of run support prevented the 24-year-old from picking up his first win on the season. Despite an 0-1 record, Borucki has been outstanding in all three of his big-league starts this season, posting a 2.25 ERA and 1.25 WHIP with 16 strikeouts over 20 innings.

Michael Fulmer RP | NYY
Tigers' Michael Fulmer: Falls to 3-8
Fulmer (3-8) was tagged with the loss in Sunday's 3-0 defeat to the Rangers, giving up three runs (two earned) on five hits over seven innings while striking out six and walking three.
It was a solid outing, but Fulmer ended up getting dealt his eighth defeat of the season as his teammates were shut out by Austin Bibens-Dirkx and the Rangers bullpen. His 3-8 record isn't pretty, but Fulmer has been pitching well lately, as he's thrown at least six innings in six of his last seven starts, posting a 39:12 K:BB over that span. He'll take the mound next against the Astros on the road next Saturday.

George Kontos RP | CLE
Indians' George Kontos: Outrighted to Triple-A
Kontos was outrighted to Triple-A Columbus on Sunday.
Kontos has now been removed from two teams' 40-man rosters this season after the Pirates previously released him in May. He'll stick around with the Indians organization this time around after going unclaimed of waivers, but he'll need to excel at Triple-A before getting another look at the big-league level.
-
Edwin Diaz RP | LAD
Mariners' Edwin Diaz: Slams door for 35th save
Diaz struck out all three batters he faced and picked up his 35th save in a 6-4 win over Colorado on Sunday.
Diaz is perfect over his last five outings, recording 10 strikeouts and five saves. The 24-year-old righty lowered his season ERA to 2.30 alongside a 78:13 K:BB in 47 innings. Diaz remains one of the strongest and most consistent closers in the league.

Craig Kimbrel RP | KC
Red Sox's Craig Kimbrel: Records two-out save versus Royals
Kimbrel allowed one hit while recording a pair of strikeouts in a scoreless two-out save Sunday against the Royals.
The hosts scored a run on two hits to draw within three in the bottom of the ninth, so Kimbrel came in to end the threat. He allowed a hit to the first man he faced but struck out the next two to close things out. Kimbrel has now tossed seven straight scoreless outings to lower his ERA to a minuscule 1.98 for the season.
