Lovelady underwent surgery on his right knee earlier in the week.

Lovelady is expected to require 6-to-8 weeks to recover, so he should be ready for spring training with plenty of time to spare.

Abreu is on the roster for the ALCS, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

The 22-year-old was effective in limited work during the regular season, allowing just one earned run in 8.2 innings pitched. Abreu will get a chance to contribute in the postseason against the Yankees as the Astros elect to go with a pitching staff comprised entirely of right-handers for the ALCS.

Loaisiga made the Yankees' ALDS roster.

Loaisiga wasn't great in 31.2 innings for the Yankees this season, posting a 4.55 ERA and striking out 11.5 percent of opposing hitters. His ability to pitch multiple innings could be useful in the divisional round, however.

Abreu is not on the roster for the ALDS.

Abreu gave a glimpse of his big-league potential in limited action this season, striking out 13 batters and allowing just one run in 8.2 innings of work. His lack of experience leaves him on the outside looking in for now, but he's a candidate for later rounds of the playoffs should the Astros advance, Jake Kaplan of The Athletic reports.

Yarbrough will be on the roster for Wednesday's AL Wild Card Game against Oakland.

Yarbrough threw five innings Saturday against the Blue Jays, so he'll be appearing on three days' rest if he pitches Wednesday. The Rays will need all hands on deck for the single-elimination contest, though, so it won't be a surprise to see Yarbrough get into the game.

Manaea will start in the American League Wild Card Game against the Rays on Wednesday.

The southpaw quickly returned to form after returning from left shoulder surgery that left him sidelined since September 2018, and will now get the chance to help Oakland advance in its sudden-death contest against the Rays. In five starts in 2019, Manaea carries a 4-0 record with an ERA of 1.21 with a 0.78 WHIP. Wednesday's matchup against the Rays should be favorable given the number of lefties in Tampa's lineup.

Sulser was claimed off waivers Tuesday by the Orioles.

Sulser heads to Baltimore's 40-man roster after being designated for assignment by the Rays on Sunday. In 7.1 innings pitched for Tampa Bay in 2019, the 29-year-old allowed only five hits while recording a 9:3 K:BB.
