Hamilton allowed two hits and one walk while striking out two over 1.2 scoreless innings in Saturday's 7-1 loss to Cleveland.

Hamilton made his third appearance of the season as part of Chicago's bullpen day Saturday and has yet to give up a run. White Sox manager Rick Renteria told Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times that Hamilton is one of three arms used Saturday that could be deployed in high-leverage situations going forward. "[Zack] Burdi now, and [Codi] Heuer and even Ian Hamilton and [Matt] Foster," Renteria said. "We're building some arms for our pen that could become high-leverage guys... I wouldn't be surprised if you see those guys at some point in high-leverage situations." The White Sox are looking at some of their young relievers as potential replacements for setup man Aaron Bummer (biceps), who was placed on the injured list Saturday.

Burdi allowed one hit and struck out two over a scoreless inning in Saturday's 7-1 loss to Cleveland.

Burdi was recalled from the alternate training site Saturday after the White Sox placed Aaron Bummer (biceps) on the injured list. This could be a chance for the Burdi to showcase his talent after dealing with significant elbow and knee injuries since joining the organization. Burdi featured a 99-MPH fastball and command of his slider in Saturday's scoreless inning. The right-hander might be used to pick up some of the slack from Bummer's injury if he continues to pitch well.

Misiewicz (0-1) was tagged with the loss Saturday against the Rockies. He gave up two runs on one hit and one walk while fanning two in one inning.

Misiewicz has made five appearances this season and has allowed runs in three, including each of the past two. As a result, he now owns a 6.75 ERA across 5.1 innings out of the bullpen in 2020.

Anderson faced one batter and induced a flyout to earn the save in Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Yankees.

Tampa Bay held a 5-1 lead entering the final frame, but New York rallied for two runs, prompting Anderson to be called upon to face Aaron Judge with a runner on second base. It was the right-hander's second save of the season, both of which occurred with him entering with at least one runner on base and the tying run at the plate. Anderson is clearly one of manager Kevin Cash's most trusted relievers, but early on in 2020 that's meant he's been utilized in the most important situations, not necessarily as the closer. The 30-year-old should still record some saves along the way as he has thus far while firing 4.1 scoreless innings, but it won't be with the consistency of a traditional closer.

Kay (1-0) pitched 3.1 scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and striking out three to earn the win versus the Red Sox on Saturday.

Kay recorded the last out of the fourth inning and was able to keep it clean long enough for the Blue Jays to tie the game in the seventh. They took the lead in the top of the eighth to make Kay the pitcher of record. The 25-year-old has a 1.13 ERA and 0.75 WHIP with eight strikeouts across eight innings this season.

Montero worked a perfect ninth inning Saturday to record his second save of the season in a 2-0 win over the Angels.

The Rangers wasted no time plugging Montero into their vacant closer spot after he came off the injured list Friday, and the right-hander has now picked up saves on consecutive nights. As long as he can stay healthy, Montero should provide some stability in the ninth as he looks to build on his comeback performance in 2019.

Bass pitched a perfect ninth inning with one strikeout to earn the save in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Red Sox.

Bass whiffed Christian Vazquez before getting flyouts from Kevin Pillar and Jackie Bradley to finish the inning on a mere eight pitches. The 32-year-old Bass has yet to allow a run in 6.1 innings this year, with just two hits and a walk against him so far. Expect the right-hander to continue in the closer role while Ken Giles (forearm) is out.

King (0-1) took the loss in Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader in Tampa Bay after allowing three runs on one hit and five walks over 3.2 innings. He had four strikeouts.

The 25-year-old entered Saturday with a 6:0 K:BB through seven innings this season, but he never showed much command, throwing only 36 of his 70 pitches for strikes. King has a 7.59 ERA and 1.13 WHIP across 10.2 innings this season and should return to his role as a long reliever.

Castro walked one and struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning to record his first save of the season in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Nationals.

Cole Sulser worked the eighth inning and picked up the hold, while Mychal Givens didn't pitch at all, adding yet another wrinkle to manager Brandon Hyde's late-inning bullpen management. Castro has certainly earned a high-leverage role, posting a 0.00 ERA and 10:2 K:BB through his first 7.1 innings on the year, so this may not be the last time he gets the call in the ninth for the O's.

Henriks recorded the save Saturday against the Astros after allowing one run on two hits during the ninth inning. He had one strikeout and zero walks.

Kyle Tucker hit a leadoff double and came around to score, but Hendriks was otherwise able to close things out versus Houston. The right-hander has converted five of six save opportunities and carries a 2.16 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 12:2 K:BB through 8.1 innings.
