Andriese signed a one-year, $1.85 million contract with the Red Sox, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Per Cotillo, the deal also includes a $3.5 million club option for 2022. Andriese worked largely in a long-relief role for the Angels this past season, posting a 4.50 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 33:11 K:BB in 32 innings. The 31-year-old should get the opportunity to compete for a spot in a Red Sox rotation otherwise lacking in reliable options.

Ryan was traded from the Mets to the Rangers on Friday to complete the trade which sent Todd Frazier the other way back in August.

The 25-year-old has so far yet to advance beyond the Double-A level. In 77 innings at that stop in 2018 and 2019, he produced a 3.51 ERA, striking out 23.7 percent of batters while walking 10.3 percent.

Honeywell (elbow) underwent a minor procedure Thursday that isn't expected to impact his availability for 2021, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Honeywell's most recent procedure was done to relieve some mild discomfort in his right elbow, but he's still expected to be ready for spring training. The 25-year-old has now undergone four procedures since September of 2017, which was the last time that he appeared in game action. Honeywell hasn't pitched above the Triple-A level, and it's unclear whether he'll be able to earn a major-league roster spot in 2021.

Munoz (elbow) is throwing off a mound and could join the Mariners' bullpen by June, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Munoz underwent Tommy John surgery in March, but he appears to be progressing well in his recovery. While he won't be ready to debut with his new team by Opening Day, the Mariners hope that he'll be able to return by June as long as he doesn't face any setbacks.

Ortiz signed a minor-league contract with the Rangers on Wednesday.

The deal doesn't include an invitation to big-league spring training, so Ortiz is likely being viewed as a candidate for the rotation at Triple-A Round Rock or Double-A Frisco. The 2014 first-round pick most recently played in 2019, spending most of that season at Triple-A Norfolk in the Orioles organization and posting a 6.38 ERA over 66.1 innings.

Mayza (elbow) began throwing bullpen sessions last week and isn't expected to face any limitations during spring training, Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic reports.

Mayza is nearing the finish line in his recovery from September 2019 Tommy John surgery, an injury that sidelined him for the entire 2020 campaign. While the procedure typically carries a 12-to-14-month recovery timeline, Mayza was recommended to extend his rehab to 16 months after he needed to have his flexor tendon reattached as part of the surgery. The 28-year-old has reportedly experienced no complications in his recovery, so he should be given a fair chance to compete for a spot in the Blue Jays' Opening Day bullpen as a non-roster invitee.

Montero was traded from Texas to Seattle in exchange for Jose Corniell and a player to be named later Tuesday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Montero picked up the first eight saves of his career last season, though he didn't exactly production numbers worthy of a closer role for most teams, as his 4.08 ERA and 26.4 percent strikeout rate hardly popped off the page. He's now found himself on another team that's quite short on established bullpen arms, however, so he should have a good chance to add to his save total in the upcoming season.

Bowman (elbow) signed a minor-league contract with the Yankees on Monday, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Bowman went under the knife in September, and he'll be forced to miss likely the entire 2021 campaign while on the mend. Per Nightengale, Bowman will make $900,000 if he's in the big leagues in 2022.

Herget signed a one-year, $700,000 contract with the Rangers on Friday.

Herget was non-tendered by the Rangers in early December, but he'll return to the team on a split major-league contract. The right-hander made 20 appearances last year, posting a 3.20 ERA and 1.37 WHIP over 19.2 innings. Herget should resume his role as a lower-leverage reliever in 2021.

Puk (shoulder) is progressing well from surgery and projects to break camp in Oakland's rotation, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

He will be the Oakland's fifth starter if he stays healthy while getting stretched out this spring. Granted, the A's have been overly optimistic with their public comments about Puk's health and availability in the past, only for things to go south, so we should not take it for granted that he will be healthy this spring and into the regular season. There hasn't been much clarity regarding the nature of the shoulder procedure he underwent in September. Even in a best-case scenario, the 25-year-old lefty won't log close to a full season in the MLB rotation, as he has thrown a total of 36.2 innings since needing Tommy John surgery in 2018.
