Heuer earned a save Thursday, striking out three over two scoreless innings against the Royals.

Heuer has not allowed a run or walk over seven Cactus League innings. He was an effective member of the White Sox's bullpen in 2020 and is expected to return in 2021, likely in a middle-relief role. The 24-year-old right-hander has thrown two innings in each of his last two spring appearances.

Quijada has yet to report to camp as a result of visa issues in his native Venezuela, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

The extended delay has cost Quijada a chance of competing for a bullpen spot this spring, and the left-hander is now likely to begin the season at the Angels' alternate training site. It is not yet clear when Quijada is expected to be able to join the team.

Fulmer could end up in Detroit's bullpen depending on which pitchers make the Opening Day roster, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.

Fulmer was exclusively a starter last season, though he never went beyond three innings in a start in his first year back after Tommy John surgery. However, the Tigers have a handful of options for the back of their rotation, including youngsters Casey Mize and Tarik Skubal, as well as non-roster invitee Julio Teheran. Matthew Boyd, Spencer Turnbull and Jose Urena also should be locked into rotation spots. Mize and Skubal could both start the season in the minors, but if they don't, Fulmer might get squeezed from the rotation to make room.

Manaea did not suffer an injury after being struck by a line drive during his start Thursday, Alex Coffey of The Athletic reports.

Manaea was hit on his throwing elbow by a line drive off the bat of Eric Hosmer. However, he continued to pitch after being checked on by the trainer and told the media after the game there is no injury besides a bruise. Manaea recorded five strikeouts across 3.2 innings Thursday and owns a 9:3 K:BB in his first two spring starts (6.2 innings).

Herget was reassigned to minor-league camp Thursday.

Herget passed through waivers unclaimed in February and served as a non-roster invitee to begin spring training. The right-hander allowed five runs on six hits and three walks while striking out four over three innings during three spring appearances (one start). He'll likely start the season with Triple-A Round Rock.

Mariners manager Scott Servais said Thursday that Munoz (elbow) hasn't been throwing much recently following a setback in his recovery, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Munoz was already slated to miss significant time to begin the regular season following Tommy John surgery in March 2020, but he's been limited over the past few weeks due to a minor setback. Servais didn't sound too concerned, but it's not yet clear when the right-hander will be able to resume throwing.

Puk, who made his Cactus League debut in a win over the Royals on Wednesday, came away satisifed with his two-inning outing despite his velocity topping out at 92-93 mph, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports. "I'm just getting back into it," Puk said. "Maybe I'll get the velocity fully back. Maybe not. I'm more concerned about just going out there and feeling good, which I am. My shoulder is feeling strong and healthy."

The big left-hander allowed a two-run homer in the first inning. However, Puk also recorded four strikeouts -- three of them on swinging third strikes -- while utilizing his two-seam fastball, slider and curveball. Manager Bob Melvin echoed his pitcher by putting the the low-90s velocity in perspective, noting that Puk's 6-foot-7 frame makes his power pitch intimidating even at reduced speed because how close he gets to the plate by the end of his delivery.

Hendriks struck out one over a scoreless inning in Wednesday's spring game against the Dodgers.

Hendriks dispatched the Dodgers in a perfect inning while making his third Cactus League appearance. He's allowed one run on one hit while striking out four with a walk over three innings this spring. All systems are go for Chicago's closer.

Yarbrough fired three scoreless innings in a Grapefruit League win over the Orioles on Tuesday, allowing three hits and no walks, hitting a batter and recording two strikeouts.

That's two scoreless efforts (4.1 total innings) for Yarbrough to start Grapefruit League play, solidifying his projected No. 2 starter role. Yarbrough has largely displayed his usual superior control early this spring save for the one plunking Tuesday, and he heads into the 2021 campaign without any ambiguity surrounding his rotation spot for the first time in his career.

The Red Sox reassigned Gonsalves to their minor-league camp Wednesday, Julian McWilliams of The Boston Globe reports.

Gonsalves is projected to open the 2021 season as a member of the Triple-A Pawtucket rotation. His lone big-league action came with the Twins back in 2018, when he submitted a 6.57 ERA and 2.03 WHIP in 24.2 innings across seven outings (four starts).
