Mayza (2-1) picked up the win in Tuesday's 2-1 victory over the Marlins, striking out two batters in a perfect eighth inning.

The southpaw entered with the score tied 1-1 and needed only eight pitches (seven strikes) to breeze through Miami's 8-9-1 hitters. Mayza then got rewarded when Toronto pushed across a run in the ninth. The 29-year-old has been the Jays' top lefty in the bullpen while Ryan Borucki (forearm) has been on the shelf, and Mayza's responded to that high-leverage usage with a 1.17 ERA, 0.78 WHIP and 7:1 K:BB through 7.2 innings in June.

Romano gave up a hit and struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning Tuesday to record his fourth save of the season in a 2-1 win over the Marlins.

It was the right-hander's first save in June, but that's through no fault of Romano's. He's reeled off 12 straight appearances without an earned run, and sports a 1.42 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 33:13 K:BB through 25.1 innings on the season.

Pressly allowed a hit and struck out two over a scoreless ninth inning to preserve the win over Baltimore on Tuesday.

Pressly locked down his 11th save in 12 opportunities to make a winner of Zack Greinke. Since his blown save May 29, when Pressly allowed three runs to the Padres, he has not allowed an earned run while striking out 11 and walking one over seven innings.

Crochet (2-4) did not retire a batter and allowed four runs on four hits to pick up the loss Tuesday against the Pirates.

Crochet, who has been very good out of the bullpen, was entrusted to pitch the seventh after the White Sox took a 3-2 lead in the top half of the inning. However, the left-hander permitted four consecutive singles and was replaced by Aaron Bummer, who gave up a hit that produced the fourth run charged to Crochet. It was the third straight outing in which Crochet allowed at least one run, and it raised his season ERA from 1.19 to 2.78.

Lopez (2-9) took the loss versus Houston on Tuesday. He allowed two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out six in 6.1 innings.

Tuesday was just the third time this year Lopez completed six innings. The right-hander gave up a solo home run to Myles Straw, who also had an RBI single against reliever Hunter Harvey to tack a second and decisive run onto Lopez's line. Through 15 starts, the 28-year-old has a 5.68 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 71:29 K:BB across 71.1 innings. His next start is expected to be versus Toronto this weekend.

Hearn (2-2) allowed four earned runs on two hits and three walks while striking out two in two-thirds innings pitched, taking the loss to the Athletics on Tuesday.

Hearn struggled with his command, surrendering five baserunners while recording two outs. The Rangers had hoped he could make it through at least two innings. Hearn got the start over Jordan Lyles, but Lyles ended up pitching six innings in relief. The southpaw failed to pitch a full inning for just the second time this season and allowed a season-high four runs. His 21 walks in 36 innings is worrisome and he likely won't see regular starts if this continues.

Sewald (4-2) earned the win in relief Tuesday against the Rockies after tossing a scoreless eighth inning, walking one and fanning one.

Sewald's command wasn't entirely sharp since he tossed just nine of his 17 pitches for strikes, but he still got the job done and has now racked up 10 straight appearances without allowing an earned run. The right-hander has improved his ERA to 2.00 as a result while posting a 28:10 K:BB across 18 innings this season.

Morgan (0-2) was charged with the loss Tuesday against the Cubs, pitching five innings and allowing four runs on four hits and no walks while striking out nine.

Morgan's third big-league outing was easily his best, as he notched career highs with five innings and nine strikeouts while racking up 14 swinging strikes on 71 pitches. He gave up only one run through five frames but tired in the sixth, yielding three straight hits -- including a two-run double -- before he was pulled. The right-hander has been getting an opportunity in the rotation due to injuries to Shane Bieber (shoulder) and Zach Plesac (thumb), and he should get another start with both injured pitchers not expected to return until July.

Graveman recorded the save Tuesday against Colorado after tossing a scoreless ninth inning while fanning one.

Graveman had blown a save Saturday against the Rays, but he bounced back here and needed just nine pitches (eight strikes) to slam the door on the Rockies while preserving the one-run lead. The right-hander has gone 6-for-7 in save chances this season and owns an excellent 1.25 ERA through 21.2 innings (19 appearances).

Brentz (2-0) allowed a run on a hit and a walk with one strikeout in one inning, earning the win versus the Yankees on Tuesday. He also hit a batter.

The southpaw allowed a triple to Luke Voit, and Tyler Wade entered as a pinch runner, scoring on a wild pitch. Brentz was able to limit the damage to one run in the seventh inning, and Kansas City's offense pulled ahead with a four-run rally in the eighth. Brentz has given up a run in two of his last three outings after stringing together 14 scoreless appearances spanning 15 innings. He has a 2.14 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 39:20 K:BB across 33.2 innings this year. The 26-year-old has been effective, but with just seven holds in 35 outings, he has yet to work into a higher-leverage role.
