Wantz was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

The right-hander will provide an extra arm in the Angels' bullpen after Steve Cishek was placed on the bereavement list Friday. Wantz has allowed three runs on four hits and three walks while striking out nine in 5.1 innings across four relief appearances in the majors this year.

King (shoulder) will likely begin a rehab assignment Friday, Justice delos Santos of MLB.com reports.

Woodward noted that he was hoping for King to be activated Friday without first going on a rehab stint, but that proposal was vetoed by the team's medical staff. If King does indeed get a rehab appearance under his belt in the next few days, he seems likely to rejoin the Texas bullpen during an upcoming series in Seattle. The southpaw has been on the injured list since July 9 with inflammation in his throwing shoulder.

Diekman has fired three scoreless innings during which he's allowed one hit and posted a 5:0 K:BB across his last three appearances.

The veteran left-hander took his second loss of the season against the Mariners on July 23 in an outing during which he uncorked three wild pitches. The uncharacteristic control issues were yet another reminder that Diekman hasn't been anywhere near as dominant this season as he was during his career-best 2020, but his current stretch, albeit modest in length, has brought his ERA back down to 3.10 across 44 appearances.

Misiewicz has fired 3.1 scoreless innings across his last four appearances, posting a 6:0 K:BB and garnering two holds.

Misiewicz is seeing consistent work and was called upon for one-inning appearances in back-to-back games Wednesday and Thursday. The left-hander now boasts a career-high 15 holds, while his 3.89 ERA and 1.27 WHIP would also be new personal bests.

Winder was shut down Friday for two or three weeks due to shoulder fatigue, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.

The Twins don't seem to be overly concerned about the issue, framing the problem as simply workload management after the young righty didn't throw a single competitive inning last season due to the canceled minor-league schedule. Winder cruised to a 1.98 ERA and 31.3 percent strikeout rate in 10 starts for Double-A Wichita to start this season but owns a much more pedestrian 4.67 ERA and 22.4 percent strikeout rate in four starts for Triple-A St. Paul.

Scott (knee) played catch Friday, Joe Trezza of MLB.com reports.

Scott landed on the 10-day injured list Sunday due to a sprained left knee, and the Orioles will evaluate his progress following Friday's throwing session. Manager Brandon Hyde is hoping the southpaw will be able to rejoin the team by the end of next week, if not sooner.

Feyereisen (biceps) will throw a bullpen session Saturday, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Feyereisen landed on the injured list July 21 due to biceps tendinitis, but he underwent an MRI that didn't reveal any structural damage. The right-hander's weekend return to the mound was expected, and he'll now begin the process of ramping up his workload before the team doctors clear him to return to game action.

Anderson (elbow/COVID-19 protocols) is slated to throw a bullpen session Saturday, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Anderson's rehab was recently delayed due to "COVID-related issues," but he'll resume mound work after missing approximately a week. The Rays will likely determine a timetable for his return to game action based on how Saturday's throwing session goes.

Cimber picked up the save Thursday against Cleveland after tossing a scoreless ninth inning, striking out one.

Cimber has been pitching very well of late and extended his streak of scoreless appearances to seven games, but he also recorded his first save of the campaign in a composed manner -- he needed 14 pitches (nine strikes) to close things out. He owns a 2.22 ERA across 47 appearances between the Marlins and the Blue Jays this season.

Green (5-5) earned the win in relief Thursday against the Mariners after allowing one run on two hits while fanning two across two innings.

Green might have allowed a solo shot to Jarred Kelenic in the seventh inning, but other than that, he was composed on the mound en route to his fifth win of the campaign. Green might have recorded two of his five wins since the All-Star break, but he also has given up runs in three of his last five games and has been struggling for a few weeks now. The right-hander owns a 5.40 ERA across 12 appearances (15 innings) since the beginning of July.
