Robles was removed from Sunday's loss to Cleveland due to lat tightness, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.

Robles struck out two in a perfect eighth inning Sunday, but manager Alex Cora revealed after the game that the right-hander was unable to pitch the ninth inning due to his injury. Cora doesn't believe the issue is serious, so the 31-year-old should be considered day-to-day.

Lowther will be recalled from Triple-A Norfolk to start Monday's game against the Royals, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Lowther returned to the mound at Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday after he missed a month and a half with a shoulder injury, and he allowed three runs on four hits and a walk while striking out four in 5.2 innings. The southpaw should be able to handle a full workload in his return to the majors.

Kowar will draw a second straight turn through the Kansas City rotation in Tuesday's game at Baltimore, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

After joining Kansas City when the roster expanded from 26 to 28 men, Kowar slotted back into the team's rotation. He delivered a quality start Sept. 1 in a no-decision versus Cleveland, striking out six over six innings while giving up two runs on five hits and three walks. The Royals will reward Kowar with another start as a result, and he should hold down a spot in the team's six-man rotation until one of Brad Keller (lat) or Jakob Junis (shoulder) returns from the injured list.

Marte (COVID-19 protocols) rejoined the Angels in Anaheim on Friday, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

Both Marte and Reid Detmers (COVID-19) returned to the club Friday, though manager Joe Maddon indicated that he isn't sure how long it will take for either player to be ready for activation, per Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times. Marte has pitched in only one game for the big club this season, but he could retain his bullpen spot upon his return if the organization decides it wants to evaluate him down the stretch.

Misiewicz (forearm), activated from the injured list earlier in the day, secured his 16th hold in a win over the Diamondbacks on Saturday by firing a scoreless eighth inning during which he allowed a hit and issued a walk.

Manager Scott Servais wasted no time getting one of his trusted bullpen options back into action, and Misiewicz gave his previously ailing forearm a good test by firing 21 pitches during his one frame. The southpaw should be set to resume his usual heavy workload moving forward, having already logged 55 appearances this season.

Swanson recorded his fifth hold in a win over the Diamondbacks on Saturday, firing a perfect seventh inning.

It's been a bit of a rocky road for Swanson during the second half of the season, with the right-hander giving up multiple runs in three appearances. Swanson had also yielded at least one run in four of his previous five trips to the mound entering Saturday, but the quick work he made of the Diamondbacks in his first appearance in a week was a reminder of how effective he's often been in a season during which he's forged a 2.48 ERA and 1.00 WHIP.

The Twins designated Law for assignment Sunday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Law, who's been on the injured list since July 17 with a right shoulder impingement, loses his 40-man roster spot to allow for Luke Farrell's return from the 60-day IL. Law has been decent with a 4.20 ERA in 15 relief innings this season, but his injury makes him unlikely to get claimed on waivers in the next couple days.

The Yankees recalled Abreu from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Sunday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

The righty was sent down to Triple-A on Aug. 29 after posting a 2.51 ERA and 17:5 K:BB in 14.1 innings during his month-long stint with the big-league club. He returns to the Bronx to help fill the bullpen void left by Jonathan Loaisiga (shoulder) going on the injured list.

Loaisiga was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday with a strained right rotator cuff, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

The right-hander will be re-evaluated after not throwing for 10 days, suggesting he'll spend longer than the minimum time on the IL. His absence is a huge blow to the Yankees' bullpen, as he's arguably been the most reliable late-inning option for manager Aaron Boone throughout the season. Albert Abreu was recalled Sunday to pick up some of the slack left by Loaisiga.

Pivetta was placed on the COVID-19 injured list Sunday, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

The righty had been scheduled to start Sunday's game against Cleveland, but obviously that won't be happening. How long Pivetta might be sidelined will depend on whether he tested positive and whether he's vaccinated, details that haven't been disclosed.
