Montero (lat) agreed to a one-year, $2.725 million deal with the Astros on Tuesday, avoiding arbitration, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.

Montero's arrival at camp has been delayed by visa issues, which make it tough to tell whether or not the lat strain he battled down the stretch last year is still a problem.

Hearn and the Rangers agreed Tuesday on a one-year, $1.05 million deal to avoid arbitration, Robyn Hearn of NewsChannel 6 Wichita Falls reports.

The news of Hearn's deal with Texas was broken by his sister, Robyn. The Rangers cycled through a number of traditional starters and primary pitchers out of the bullpen in 2021, with Hearn proving to be one of the more reliable options. He covered 104.1 innings in total over his 42 outings (11 starts), going 6-6 while producing a 4.66 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 92:42 K:BB. While those numbers aren't outstanding, Hearn at least appears to be penciled into a rotation spot to begin the 2022 season, which is enough to make him a draftable option in AL-only leagues.

Trivino signed a one-year, $3 million contract with the Athletics on Tuesday, Kiley McDaniel of ESPN.com reports.

The agreement means the two sides won't have to go through arbitration. He'll get paid for his 22 saves, but his 21.6 percent strikeout rate is hardly closer material and doesn't back up his 3.18 ERA, especially when combined with his poor 11.0 percent walk rate.

Mayers signed a one-year, $2.15 million contract with the Angels on Tuesday, avoiding arbitration, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Mayers is in his second season of arbitration eligibility. The 30-year-old righty is coming off a season in which he posted a 3.84 over a career-high 75 innings.

Beeks and the Rays agreed Tuesday on a one-year, $750,000 contract to avoid arbitration, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Beeks secured a contract for 2022 one day after making his Grapefruit League debut in what marked his first game action since he underwent Tommy John surgery in August 2020. The 28-year-old lefty has mostly worked as a multi-inning reliever or primary pitcher out of the bullpen over his three active seasons in Tampa Bay, and he'll likely fill a similar role when he's with the big club during the upcoming campaign. Beeks has two minor-league options remaining, so the Rays may be inclined to have him shake off the rust at Triple-A Durham to begin the season following a year-and-a-half-long layoff from game action.

Anderson (elbow) and the Rays agreed to terms on a one-year, $845,000 deal Tuesday, avoiding arbitration, Kiley McDaniel of ESPN.com reports.

Anderson will miss an extended portion of the upcoming season after undergoing elbow surgery in October.

Sewald and the Mariners avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $1.735 million deal Tuesday, Kiley McDaniel of ESPN.com reports.

Sewald broke out in his age-31 season last year, striking out 39.4 percent of opposing batters while posting a 3.06 ERA. Seattle's closer committee, a setup they intend to stick with this season, meant he only picked up 11 saves despite that dominance, which lessened the amount of money he would have received in arbitration.

Peralta and the Yankees agreed Tuesday on a one-year, $2.15 million contract to avoid arbitration, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.

Peralta will more than double his salary from 2021 after he emerged as an unsung hero out of the New York bullpen following his acquisition from the Giants last April. In his 46 relief appearances with the Yankees, Peralta collected five holds and three saves while turning in a 2.95 ERA in 42.2 innings. He'll be part of the bridge to closer Aroldis Chapman once again in 2022.

Lopez and the White Sox agreed Tuesday on a one-year, $2.625 million contract to avoid arbitration, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.

Lopez was productive over his 20 appearances (nine starts) in 2021, finishing with a 3.55 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 55:13 K:BB across 57.2 innings. However, because he wasn't a full-time member of the rotation last season like he was in 2020, Lopez will get a modest raise of $525,000 in his penultimate arbitration year. Lopez may have to settle for a long-relief role to begin 2022 if all of Lance Lynn, Lucas Giolito, Dylan Cease, Dallas Keuchel and Michael Kopech are deemed ready to go for Opening Day.

Yarbrough and the Rays avoided arbitration Tuesday, agreeing to terms on a one-year, $3.85 million deal, Kiley McDaniel of ESPN.com reports.

Yarbrough gets a raise of over $1.5 million despite the fact that he's coming off the worst season of his career. In 155 innings, he struck out a career-low 17.9 percent of opposing batters and generated groundballs at a career-low 35.8 percent clip, leading to a career-high 5.11 ERA.
