Neris was handed a four-game suspension after MLB determined he intentionally threw at Eugenio Suarez on Monday while warnings were in place, but the right-hander is appealing the ban and will be available for Tuesday's game against the Mariners, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Neris had already hit one batter and given up a homer during the inning prior to the incident with Suarez, and the veteran reliver is now facing a multi-game suspension. The 32-year-old will remain available for Houston until the appeal is heard.

Silseth was optioned to Double-A Rocket City on Tuesday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

The 22-year-old delivered six shutout frames during his major-league debut in mid-May, though he surrendered nine runs over 10.1 innings across his past three starts and will now return to Rocket City. Silseth, who is the Angels' top prospect, could receive another big-league opportunity at some point this season, but for now he'll make his way back to Double-A. Jose Suarez was recalled in a corresponding move and is starting Tuesday versus Boston.

Cisnero (shoulder) is traveling to Triple-A Toledo on Tuesday to begin a rehab assignment, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Cisnero began the regular season on the 60-day injured list due to a right shoulder strain, but he's been cleared to return to game action with the minor-league club. The right-hander will likely require several rehab appearances following his lengthy absence, but he seems to be trending toward a return from the injured list in the coming weeks.

Taylor's elbow injury is now being called inflammation rather than discomfort, Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle reports.

The new diagnosis pushes back Taylor's potential return date, but he's at least avoided an injury serious enough to require surgery. When exactly he's expected to be back is unclear, however.

The Twins recalled Sands from Triple-A St. Paul ahead of his scheduled start Tuesday against the Yankees in Minnesota.

The Twins placed outfielder Kyle Garlick (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list to create room on the 26-man active roster for Sands, who will be making his second start and fourth appearance of the season for the big club. Over a sample of 18.2 innings at Triple-A this season, Sands has been tagged for 15 earned runs on 23 hits and six walks while striking out 21, so he remains a risky fantasy option while he opposes a powerful Yankees lineup. According to Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, manager Rocco Baldelli said that starter Joe Ryan will likely make a minor-league rehab appearance before coming off the COVID-19-related injured list, so Sands could get one more turn in the rotation after Tuesday's outing.

Voth was claimed off waivers by the Orioles on Tuesday.

Voth began the season in Washington's bullpen but posted a 10.13 ERA and 2.14 WHIP in 18.2 innings before being designated for assignment by the Nationals next week. Although the right-hander will land a spot on the Orioles' 40-man roster, he's unlikely to pitch in many high-leverage situations with his new club.

The Orioles designated Sedlock for assignment Tuesday.

Baltimore will swap Sedlock off the 40-man roster for another long-relief option in Austin Voth, whom the team claimed off waivers from the Nationals. After receiving his first call-up to the majors May 28, Sedlock was roughed up for five earned runs in three innings out of the bullpen a day later against the Red Sox before he was sent back to Triple-A Norfolk. He'll remain with the organization as a member of Norfolk's pitching staff if he clears waivers.

The Rays optioned Yarbrough to Triple-A Durham on Tuesday.

Yarbrough will lose his spot in the rotation and on the 26-man active roster after he was shelled for six earned runs while recording only five outs in his last start Sunday against the White Sox. With the lefty's ERA now sitting at 5.65 for the season, the Rays will send him to Triple-A with the hope that he can find some more consistency. Shane Baz (elbow) struck out 10 batters over 4.1 innings in his fourth rehab start with Triple-A Durham over the weekend and should be ready to return from the 60-day injured list when Yarbrough's next turn in the rotation comes up later this week during the Rays' series in Minnesota.

Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre transferred Bowman (elbow) from the 60-day injured list to the full-season IL on Tuesday, Matt Kardos of PinstripedProspects.com reports.

Bowman underwent Tommy John surgery in September 2020, but after sitting out the entire 2021 campaign, he was expected to be ready to go for the start of spring training. The veteran right-hander never progressed as well as the Yankees had hoped, however, and he'll end up missing his second season in a row as a result. Now 31 years old and having not pitched in the majors -- or at any level -- since 2019, Bowman's playing career could be in question.

Swanson (elbow) is slated to make one more rehab appearance with High-A Everett before rejoining the Mariners, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Swanson was impressive while firing a scoreless second inning Saturday against High-A Eugene, and the Mariners will apparently afford him a second tune-up opportunity. Assuming all goes off without a hitch in that upcoming appearance, Swanson is slated for activation before the start of an upcoming homestand Friday against the Red Sox.
