Clase pitched a perfect inning and struck out one to earn the save in Wednesday's 7-6 win over the Red Sox.

Josh Naylor's solo home run in the ninth inning gave the Guardians a one-run lead, and Clase was able to protect it. This was his sixth straight scoreless inning, though he's picked up just two saves in that span and only three saves in July. The closer is still one of the best relievers in baseball with a 1.31 ERA, 0.70 WHIP and 43:6 K:BB while converting 21 of 23 save chances through 41.1 innings this year.

Chargois (oblique) will report to Triple-A Durham on Friday to continue his rehab assignment, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The 31-year-old began the rehab assignment in the rookie-level Florida Complex League last week and will move up to Triple-A after two appearances. Chargois suffered the oblique strain during his first outing of the season April 8, so he'll likely require multiple outings in the upper minors before being reinstated from the injured list.

Anderson (elbow) will report to Triple-A Durham on Saturday to continue his rehab assignment, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Anderson began his rehab assignment last week in the rookie-level Florida Complex League, and he'll move up to the Triple-A level after making two appearances in the FCL. The veteran right-hander was limited to six innings last year due to elbow issues and underwent surgery in October, so he'll likely require a couple weeks in the upper minors before being cleared to rejoin the Rays.

Fulmer (3-4) pitched a scoreless inning of relief and earned the win Wednesday against the Padres.

Fulmer pitched the top of the ninth with the Tigers down 3-2, then earned his third win of the season when Detroit scored twice in the bottom of the inning. The righty has pitched well this season with a 2.84 ERA and 1.16 WHIP across 38 innings, and he could be someone the rebuilding Tigers decide to move before the trade deadline next week. Fulmer is set to become a free agent after the season.

Kelly was removed from Wednesday's game against the Rockies with right biceps discomfort, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

Kelly entered in the eighth inning and allowed a double, hit a batter and recorded two strikeouts before exiting with the injury. According to Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times, the right-hander said the injury is related to the nerve issue in the same biceps which delayed his start to the season, though he doesn't expect to miss any time after the injury cropped up again Wednesday.

Lopez hasn't pitched since Saturday while managing a back injury, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com reports.

Lopez surrendered a run over one-third of an inning and was charged with a blown save Saturday, though it's unclear if that's when the back issue first surfaced. The White Sox have a scheduled day off Thursday, and it's unclear if the 31-year-old, who has a 3.61 ERA across 77.1 innings this year, will be available Friday versus the A's.

King (elbow) underwent surgery Wednesday, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports.

King has been ruled out for the season due to a fractured right elbow, and his procedure addressed that issue. The status of his ligament isn't yet clear, and the right-hander will be evaluated in 8-10 weeks to determine whether he'll require Tommy John surgery. If King doesn't need to undergo the procedure, the Yankees hope to have him back in time for spring training 2023.

Chafin will be placed on the restricted list ahead of the Tigers' weekend series in Toronto, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Chafin is unvaccinated and will be unable to travel to Canada for the four-game series this weekend. Bryan Garcia is joining the active roster and is expected to start Friday against the Blue Jays. Chafin has made four appearances since the All-Star break and has posted a 4.91 ERA and 1.91 WHIP in 3.2 innings.

Swanson (1-0) recorded the win over the Rangers on Tuesday, allowing an earned run on two hits over one inning.

Asked to preserve a 3-3 tie when he entered in the ninth, Swanson actually failed to do so by giving up a go-ahead RBI single to Ezequiel Duran. However, he ultimately walked away with his first win courtesy of Seattle's two-run rally in the home half of the frame. Swanson's stumble was an exceedingly rare one, as Tuesday marked only the fourth time he'd allowed a run across 29 appearances this season.

Manager Rocco Baldelli said Wednesday that Winder (shoulder) will be shut down, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Winder landed on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A St. Paul on Saturday due to right shoulder impingement syndrome, and he'll require more than the minimum amount of time on the shelf. Baldelli didn't say that the right-hander's season is over, but Winder will be examined further in the coming days to help pinpoint a cause for his recurring shoulder issues.
