Curry was optioned to Triple-A Columbus on Sunday, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

Curry took the loss Saturday against Seattle after giving up four runs (three earned) over 4.1 innings, and he'll now head back to Triple-A. Konnor Pilkington was recalled from Columbus in a corresponding move.

The Twins recalled Moran from Triple-A St. Paul on Sunday.

One day after being sent down to the minors to clear room on the 28-man active roster for starter Tyler Mahle's return to the rotation, Moran will be back with the Twins after Mahle was sent back to the IL upon suffering a recurrence of right shoulder inflammation in Saturday's 13-0 loss to the White Sox. Aaron Sanchez is likely the top candidate to replace Mahle in the rotation, while Moran presumably serves as a long man or middle-relief option for Minnesota. Moran thrived in his most recent appearance for the Twins on Wednesday, striking out five while allowing one run on three hits over three innings in a relief appearance against Boston.

Jackson's recent MRI revealed a shoulder strain, and he's expected to rest all of next week before likely embarking on a rehab assignment, the team's official site reports.

The right-hander, who's shouldered a heavy workload as a rookie this season with 54 appearances, still has a chance to return to action in 2022 if his rehab assignment goes off without setbacks and is of relatively short duration. Manager Mark Kotsay praised the 27-year-old's impressive body of work, which includes a 3.00 ERA, 27 holds and a 12.6 K/9, and confirmed the organization will err on the side of caution but noted "any time a player can finish the season, you want to give him that opportunity."

Curry (0-1) took the loss during Saturday's 4-0 defeat at the hands of the Mariners, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits and five walks in 4.1 innings. He failed to record a strikeout.

Making his second start of the campaign, Curry permitted at least three baserunners in both the first and second innings but limited the damage to one run in each frame. His fortune faded in the fifth when he walked the bases loaded with one out and the bullpen allowed two of the inherited runners to score, putting the 24-year-old in line for the loss. Curry has posted a decent 4.00 ERA across two levels in 21 minor-league outings (19 starts), though he hasn't fared as well in the majors with six earned runs across 9.1 innings in two turns.

King was recalled from Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday.

The 27-year-old was demoted to Triple-A on Aug. 18 but will rejoin the big-league club after Dallas Keuchel was designated for assignment. King has appeared in 31 games for the Rangers this year and has a 4.67 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 24:13 K:BB over 34.2 innings.

The Royals optioned Mills to Triple-A Omaha on Sunday.

Mills' latest stint in the majors lasted just two days, with the right-hander's demotion coming after he struck out three over two scoreless no-hit innings in Saturday's 12-2 win over the Tigers. The Royals recalled Max Castillo -- who is scheduled to start Sunday's series finale -- from Triple-A in a corresponding move.

The Royals recalled Castillo from Triple-A Omaha and will have him start Sunday's game in Detroit.

Reliever Wyatt Mills was optioned to Triple-A to clear room on the 28-man active roster for Castillo, who is set to make his second appearance for Kansas City since being acquired from the Blue Jays on Aug. 2. Castillo will be taking over the rotation spot that belongs to Zack Greinke (forearm), who remains on the injured list without a clear timeline to be activated. In his previous start with the Royals on Aug. 18, Castillo took a loss to Tampa Bay after recording three strikeouts and allowing one earned run on three hits and one walk over five frames.

Yarbrough is expected to serve as the Rays' bulk reliever behind opener Shawn Armstrong in Sunday's game against the Yankees at Tropicana Field, MLB.com reports.

Yarbrough has yet to make an appearance for Tampa Bay since being called up from Triple-A Durham on Tuesday, but he'll essentially be filling the rotation spot vacated by Shane McClanahan (shoulder), who was placed on the 15-day injured list Wednesday. Though Armstrong is getting the starting nod Sunday, he hasn't worked more than three innings in any appearance this season and won't be asked to work deep into the series finale. As the Rays' bulk reliever, Yarbrough is the most likely pitcher to factor into any decision.

The Red Sox recalled Winckowski from Triple-A Worcester on Sunday. He'll start Sunday's series finale with the Rangers, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

The 24-year-old was sent down to Worcester on Aug. 24 after he surrendered six runs over 2.2 frames to Toronto, but he's now back in the majors with Kutter Crawford (shoulder), who was scheduled to start Sunday, moved to the injured list. Since Winckowski hasn't seen game action in the minors since last weekend, he shouldn't face any major workload restrictions Sunday as he steps into Boston's rotation.
