Miller's contract was selected from Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday.

Miller has not been particularly sharp in recent weeks, but the Rangers will give him another shot to show what he can do at the top level. He started in more than half his appearances with Round Rock this season, but unless the Rangers elect to use a six-man rotation he will likely provide depth in the bullpen.

Heasley (3-8) took the loss to the Tigers on Saturday, allowing seven runs on seven hits while striking none out and walking four over four innings.

Heasley had a rough outing Saturday, allowing seven runs to cross the plate. He threw 48 of 81 pitches for strikes, but he was unable to strike out a single batter in the contest and was pulled after four frames. This was his worst performance since another seven-run outing in June and comes off the heels of a seven-inning win against the Tigers when he allowed just two runs. The young righty's ERA now sits at an unimpressive 5.51.

Swanson, who notched his 13th hold with a perfect eighth inning in a win over Atlanta on Saturday, has pitched to a 2-0 record, 0.95 ERA and 0.79 WHIP with two saves and seven holds in the 19 innings he's logged since the All-Star break.

The right-hander has consistently flummoxed opposing bats all season, as he's carrying a 1.00 ERA and 0.82 WHIP overall in 47 appearances (one start). Swanson is therefore an excellent setup option for manager Scott Servais while frequently working as part of a 1-2 punch with closer Paul Sewald, who's been a revelation in his own right with 19 saves.

Bautista (arm) will be available out of the bullpen Sunday, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Bautista was held out for a few days with arm fatigue, but he played catch Saturday without issue and said Sunday that he is now feeling "really good." As such, expect Bautista to get the ball if the Orioles find themselves needing to protect a lead of three runs or less in the ninth inning of Sunday's game against the Red Sox.

Martinez (4-4) took the loss against the White Sox on Saturday, allowing seven runs on 14 hits, a walk and a wild pitch over 3.2 innings while recording two strikeouts.

Martinez hung in for 93 pitches, but it was an arduous journey that saw the rookie endure arguably his worst major-league outing yet. The right-hander's troubles began in the second inning when he allowed an RBI single to Yasmani Grandal and a three-run home run to Elvis Andrus, and he also subsequently conceded an Eloy Jimenez sacrifice fly and Andrew Vaughn two-run double in the fourth before exiting. Heading into Saturday's turn, Martinez was coming off a brilliant three-start stretch during which he'd pitched to a 1.72 ERA and 0.96 WHIP, so he'll be aiming for a major course correction in his next projected start, which is likely to come against the Astros on the road Thursday.

The Oriolesn="Baltimore Orioles" data-type="SPORTS_OBJECT_TEAM" data-league-abbreviation="MLB" data-team-abbreviation="BAL">Orioles optioned Cano to Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday.

Cano's demotion comes after he was blitzed for seven runs on six hits and three walks while recording just five outs in his mop-up appearance in Saturday's 17-4 loss to the Red Sox. The Orioles called up Mike Baumann from Triple-A to replace Cano in the bullpen ahead of Sunday's series finale.

The Orioles recalled Baumann from Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday.

Baumann will be back with Baltimore for the second time in less than a week after he previously made a spot start in the first game of a doubleheader with the Blue Jays on Monday. During his upcoming stint with the Orioles, Baumann is likely to serve as a multi-inning option out of the bullpen after Baltimore needed three relievers (not including position player Ryan McKenna) to cover the final 5.1 innings of Saturday's 17-4 loss to the Red Sox. One of those relievers -- Yennier Cano -- was optioned to Triple-A to clear room on the active roster for Baumann.

Sewald earned the save over Atlanta on Saturday, striking out two batters in a perfect inning.

Sewald notched four swinging strikes on 10 pitches and struck out All-Stars Dansby Swanson and Austin Riley to end the game. The veteran reliever hasn't allowed a run since Aug. 24, surrendering just three hits and posting a 10:2 K:BB over 6.1 innings in that span. Sewald's 19 saves are a career high and are tied for eighth most in the American League.

Clase allowed two hits in one-third of an inning to earn the save in Saturday's 6-4 win over the Twins.

The Guardians brought in Bryan Shaw with a 6-0 lead in the ninth inning. That went poorly, with Shaw allowing three runs on four hits and a sacrifice fly. Clase entered the game with one on and two outs and allowed two straight singles for one more run to score before getting Max Kepler on a groundout to end the rally. Despite the shakiness, Clase was able to escape with no runs on his ledger for the second straight outing since his blown save versus the Royals on Wednesday. The 24-year-old owns a 1.36 ERA, 0.74 WHIP and 61:10 K:BB while converting 33 of 36 save chances through 59.2 innings this year. He is now tied with Atlanta's Kenley Jansen for the major-league lead in saves.

Winder will be recalled from Triple-A St. Paul to start Sunday against the Guardians, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.

Winder was scratched from his scheduled start for St. Paul on Saturday, and the Twins later confirmed that Winder will get the ball for the series finale against Cleveland after Aaron Sanchez was used in relief Friday. Winder, who missed extended time with a shoulder injury, threw four innings apiece in his first two starts back at Triple-A.
