Ort (personal) was reinstated from the restricted list Saturday, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Ort was unavailable for Friday's series opener in Toronto due to his vaccination status, but he'll rejoin Boston's bullpen now that Canada no longer has a vaccine requirement for visitors. Over his last five appearances, the right-hander has posted a 9.00 ERA and 2.00 WHIP in four innings.

Holmes (shoulder) won't be placed on the injured list since he would then be out for the ALDS, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports.

Holmes has been sidelined with a right shoulder strain and is five days into a planned 10-day shutdown from throwing. However, manager Aaron Boone said Saturday that he hopes Holmes will be able to build back up in time to pitch in the ALDS, which begins Oct. 11.

Beeks (lower leg) hopes to return from the injured list for next week's series in Boston, per MLB.com.

Beeks is on the injured list with right lower leg tightness and is eligible to return as early as Oct. 3. He's been throwing during his IL stint and will likely have the chance to make at least one more relief appearance for the Rays before joining the team's bullpen for the postseason.

Alexander (4-11) took the loss to the Twins on Friday, allowing three runs on five hits while striking out six and walking four over five innings.

Alexander had a rough outing Friday, tossing 57 of 90 pitches for strikes and allowing nine baserunners. The hits and walks turned out to be Alexander's biggest downfall as all three runs he allowed came thanks to an RBI single, double and triple. Friday's appearance comes after back-to-back quality starts for the lefty, who saw his ERA rise to 4.72 after the outing.

Otto (6-10) gave up three earned runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out seven over six innings to take the loss in a 4-1 defeat against the Angels on Friday.

Otto racked up seven or more strikeouts for the fourth time this season but gave up a couple of home runs that ultimately led to him being saddled with his 10th loss of the year. The strikeout-heavy performance is an encouraging sign from Otto, who has a poor K/BB of 1.7 in 26 starts this season. The 26-year-old right-hander is tentatively expected to make his next start in the final game of the season against the Yankees.

Hendriks pitched a perfect inning and struck out two to earn the save in Friday's 3-1 win over the Padres.

Hendriks threw 10 of his 15 pitches for strikes and gave the Padres no hope of a comeback. He's pitched 7.2 innings without allowing an earned run across his last eight appearances, adding five saves and a 1-1 record in that span. For the season, the closer has a 2.91 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 80:14 K:BB through 55.2 innings while going 35-for-39 in save chances.

Hall struck out two batters in a perfect inning and picked up a save over the Yankees on Friday.

Hall converted the first save opportunity of his MLB career with ease. Since joining the Orioles bullpen at the start of September, the 24-year-old southpaw has registered an 11:3 K:BB and a 4.00 ERA through nine innings. If Felix Bautista (knee) misses any time, Hall could see some more late-inning work down the stretch.

Clase struck out two batters in a perfect inning to earn a save over the Royals on Friday.

Clase became the first pitcher to reach 40 saves this season and he's done so on just 44 chances. He had no issue finishing off Friday's 6-3 victory with 16 pitches, including 10 strikes. He's now sporting a 1.40 ERA with a 73:10 K:BB through 75 appearances.

Bautista, who struck out two in a scoreless eighth inning Friday against the Yankees, is dealing with left knee soreness, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Bautista came in for a high-leverage spot and got the job done, but he was apparently pitching at less than 100 percent by the time he exited the game. DL Hall got the save Friday. It's unclear if Bautista will be available for Baltimore's next game, but he said he thinks he will pitch again this season.

Holmes is out with a right shoulder strain and the Yankees hope to have him ready for the ALDS, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

A recent MRI confirmed the strain and Holmes also had a cortisone shot. Candidates to get the ball in the Yankees' next save opportunity include Scott Effross, Lou Trivino and Aroldis Chapman. It's possible Holmes won't pitch again until 2023.
