The Tigers transferred Brieske (elbow) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day injured list Tuesday.

Seth Elledge, claimed off waivers from the Mets, will fill the vacant 40-man roster spot. Brieske resumed throwing last week but remains out indefinitely with lingering elbow trouble. He had a nerve hydrodissection procedure in April.

The White Sox activated Crochet (elbow) from the 15-day injured list Tuesday.

Crochet has reached the finish line in his long road to recovery from Tommy John surgery and will be available out of Chicago's bullpen Tuesday night against the Guardians. The 23-year-old left-hander posted a 2.54 ERA with 73 strikeouts across his first 60.1 major-league innings between the 2020-2021 seasons. His rehab assignment was a bit rocky, but Crochet could quickly take on a high-leverage setup role with a White Sox team that has gotten off to a dreadful 14-28 start.

The White Sox optioned Padilla to Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday.

Garrett Crochet (elbow) has completed his recovery from Tommy John surgery and will join Chicago's bullpen Tuesday. Padilla has allowed two earned runs in just two innings of work this season at the MLB level.

Martinez, activated from the injured list earlier in the day, fired two scoreless innings in which he allowed a hit and recorded two strikeouts during a loss to the Diamondbacks on Monday.

The right-hander needed just 22 pitches to record his six outs, a highly efficient outing that stood in stark contrast to both his prior body of work at the big-league level this season and during his recent rehab assignment. Martinez had allowed nine earned runs over his last two appearances before going on the injured list with an elbow injury, and he'd subsequently given up four runs on seven hits over 2.1 innings in his pair of minor-league turns.

King earned a save with 1.1 perfect innings against Toronto on Monday.

After the Blue Jays rallied for four runs in the bottom of eighth, King was summoned to put out the fire with two outs and a runner on second. He induced a groundout to end the frame, then stayed around for the ninth, during which he retired the side on 10 pitches. The successful outing earned King his third save, all of which have required him to get more than three outs. While it may be inaccurate to name King the Yankees' primary closer, he is as much in the mix as any of the team's relievers -- since April 27, he's notched three saves, Wandy Peralta has picked up two, two others have one apiece and Clay Holmes has zero.

Mushinski (back) has made four appearances for Triple-A Sugar Land since resuming his rehab assignment May 6, allowing one earned run on three hits and two walks while striking out five over 4.2 innings.

Mushinski opened the season on the Astros' injured list due to a lumbar spine muscle spasm, but he was cleared to start his rehab assignment with Sugar Land on April 6. However, after four appearances with the affiliate, he was pulled off the assignment and shut down for a few weeks before reporting back to Sugar Land just over a week ago. Based on his recent form, Mushinski appears healthy and ready to rejoin the Houston bullpen, but it's unclear if the Astros are eager to option another player to the minors just to make room for a low-leverage relief arm.

The Orioles optioned Gillaspie to Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday.

Cole Irvin will get the call in a corresponding roster move, presumably to operate as a long reliever. Gillaspie threw 40 pitches out of the bullpen in Monday's loss to the Angels and was going to be unavailable for a bit. He carries a 6.75 ERA in 6.2 major-league innings this year.

Bradford (0-1) took the loss against Atlanta on Monday, allowing six runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out three batters over five innings.

Bradford has posted an impressive 0.91 ERA through 39.2 innings at the Triple-A level this season, but he found the going much tougher in his first major-league start. The southpaw gave up plenty of hard contact, serving up a pair of homers and five total extra-base hits. Bradford drew a tough assignment for his MLB debut, so this outing shouldn't be seen as a baseline for his potential to succeed in the big leagues. Still, he may be sent back down to the minors since the Rangers currently have five healthy starters ahead of him.

Neris struck out two in a perfect inning and earned a save in Monday's 6-4 win over the Cubs.

Neris needed just 10 pitches to quickly close out the 6-4 win. It was his first save since April 1 and he extended his scoreless streak to 11 innings. Neris is now sporting a 1.47 ERA with a 22:7 K:BB through 18 appearances. Ryan Pressly did not pitch Monday after picking up a save Sunday.

Bernardino was optioned to Triple-A Worcester following Monday's game against the Mariners, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Bernardino has appeared three times in the last four days out of the bullpen, surrendering three runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out three over three frames. The club has yet to announce who will be recalled to replace Bernardino.
