Barria (2-2) earned the win Wednesday, allowing a run on four hits and three walks over five innings against the White Sox. He struck out six.

Barria has now won both of his starts this season, allowing just one run on six hits over 10 innings. The 26-year-old right-hander sports a sparkling 1.59 ERA with a 1.00 WHIP and 34:11 K:BB across 34 innings this season. Barria has certainly made a case to remain in the rotation moving forward. He's currently lined up to face the Cubs at home in his next outing.

The Tigers optioned Bristo to Triple-A Toledo following Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Rangers, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

The move frees up a spot on the 26-man active roster for right-hander Reese Olson, who will be called up from Triple-A to start Friday's series opener against the White Sox. Bristo made just one appearance during his short stay in the Detroit bullpen.

The Mariners optioned McCaughan to Triple-A Tacoma on Wednesday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

McCaughan spent just one day on the 26-man roster, and he threw three innings of relief while allowing three runs in Seattle's loss to the Yankees on Tuesday. Matt Festa was recalled from Tacoma to give the Mariners a fresh bullpen arm.

Munoz (shoulder) fired a perfect fourth inning in Triple-A Tacoma's loss to Sacramento on Tuesday, recording two strikeouts.

The hard-throwing right-hander was finally able to jump back into game action after hitting the injured list back on April 9. Munoz fired 12 of 19 pitches for strikes and seemed to have his trademark swing-and-miss stuff in strong form judging by his pair of punchouts. Given the length of his absence, Munoz is slated for multiple rehab appearances with the Rainiers before being deemed ready for activation.

Fujinami (2-5) got the win against Atlanta on Tuesday, retiring the only batter he faced on a foul pop-up.

Fujinami, who's experienced a mostly nightmarish start to his MLB career after a largely successful multi-season stint in Japan, fittingly got the victory on a night in which the Athletics established only their second two-game win streak of the season. The starter-turned-reliever has his own modest stretch of success going at present, as he's allowed just an earned run on one hit over the 2.1 innings covering his last three appearances, a sample in which he hasn't walked a batter after issuing 24 free passes over his first 27.2 frames.

Voth will serve as a bulk reliever behind opening pitcher Keegan Akin in Wednesday's game against the Guardians, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Though the Orioles are bypassing him for a start, Voth will still effectively be taking the rotation spot of Grayson Rodriguez, who was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk last week. In his most recent relief outing five days ago against the Rangers, Voth covered 3.2 innings, so he should be able to provide the Orioles with a decent amount of length out of the bullpen.

Akin will serve as the Orioles' opening pitcher for Wednesday's game against the Guardians, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Akin had made just one start for the Orioles since the beginning of the 2022 season, but he'll serve as the team's lead pitcher Wednesday after he made a pair of scoreless relief appearances upon returning from Triple-A Norfolk over the weekend. Since Akin hasn't covered more than three innings in any of his appearances in the majors or minors this season, he's unlikely to work more than once through the batting order before turning the game over to Austin Voth, who is slated to work in bulk relief.

The Tigers transferred Wingenter (biceps) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Wednesday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Wingenter was moved over to the 60-day IL in order to open a spot on the 40-man roster for outfielder Jake Marisnick, who had his contract selected from Triple-A Toledo on Wednesday. Wingenter was placed on the 15-day IL in late April and will now have to wait until mid-to-late June before he's eligible to return. The right-hander resumed throwing May 12 and should now have ample time to be ready to go by then.

Graveman allowed a walk and hit a batter with a pitch but threw 1.1 scoreless innings in Tuesday's win over the Angels.

Graveman didn't earn a save, but he did record the final four outs in the 7-3 win. He stranded a runner at second in the eighth inning and then allowed two runners to reach base in the final frame prior to shutting the door. Graveman has now turned in 11 consecutive scoreless appearances, though he has walked five batters in that span. It remains to be seen whether the White Sox stick with Graveman as closer in the short term, or if they immediately turn the role over to Liam Hendriks -- who was likely unavailable for Tuesday's matchup after making his season debut Monday.

Hernandez (0-2) allowed a run on two hits and struck out two over one inning, taking the loss Tuesday versus the Cardinals.

Hernandez entered Tuesday on an eight-inning scoreless streak, but that ended when he gave up an RBI double to Nolan Arenado in the sixth inning. Overall, Hernandez has taken a step forward this season, working as an effective middle reliever and occasional opener. He has a 3.54 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 38:8 K:BB across 28 innings through 23 appearances. Hernandez also has three holds and a blown save, but he's unlikely to be much of a factor for high-leverage situations.
