Ohtani went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk Wednesday in the Angels' 10-2 loss to the Blue Jays.

Hitting leadoff for the second game in a row after typically hitting in the two hole for most of the season, Ohtani was able to put an end to his recent power outage. His 413-blast off Alek Manoah in the third inning was his first home run since July 28, but thanks to his massive first half, he still leads MLB with 38 long balls on the season. Ohtani is scheduled to start Thursday's series finale as a pitcher, but manager Joe Maddon said after Wednesday's game that he expects the two-way phenom to hit for himself, according to Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times.

Torrens remains out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rangers.

Torrens will be out of the lineup for a second straight game after he went 2-for-22 with a run, an RBI, a walk and nine strikeouts across his last seven appearances. Mitch Haniger will serve as the designated hitter while Dylan Moore enters the lineup in left field.

Choi will sit Thursday against Boston, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Choi left Tuesday's game with left hamstring soreness but returned to start Wednesday, so this might be nothing more than a routine day off. Yandy Diaz will be the first baseman Thursday.

Dickerson hit a solo home run in his only at-bat in Wednesday's 7-2 win over Arizona.

Dickerson pinch hit for reliever Tony Watson in the eighth inning and the former delivered an insurance run with his solo shot. The outfielder has homered three times in his last eight games, giving him 13 for the year. He's added a mediocre .224/.291/.435 slash line with 37 RBI, 29 runs scored and a stolen base in 254 plate appearances. Dickerson is usually in the lineup versus right-handed pitchers, although Wednesday was a notable exception -- if it becomes a trend, Darin Ruf figures to pick up most of the extra playing time.

Cabrera isn't starting Thursday's game against the Orioles, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Cabrera blasted his 499th career home run Wednesday, and he'll sit out Thursday's series finale in Baltimore before the Tigers return home to play Cleveland on Friday. Jonathan Schoop will serve as the designated hitter while Renato Nunez starts at first base.

Vogelbach (hamstring) has gone 10-for-27 (.370) with two home runs and five RBI through 10 games in his rehab assignment at Triple-A Nashville.

The Brewers wanted Vogelbach to spend some time at the minor-league level to get his swing back, and he has certainly accomplished that. Vogelbach was starting regularly at first base at the time of his injury, but it is tough to envision him reprising that role when his rehab stint comes to a close, as Rowdy Tellez joined the club during his absence and has posted a .993 OPS over 26 games.

Ramirez (knee) isn't starting Thursday's game against Oakland.

Ramirez left Wednesday's contest due to right knee tightness, and he'll be out of the lineup for at least one game. Oscar Mercado will start in left field and bat seventh.

Turner (groin) will remain on the bench for Thursday's game against the Phillies, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Turner hasn't played since Sunday while working through left groin discomfort. Previous reports indicated he wouldn't return before Friday, so his absence Thursday is an expected one. Max Muncy will shift to third base in his absence, with Albert Pujols starting at first.

Cabrera went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Wednesday's win over the Orioles.

Cabrera went deep in the fifth inning off Matt Harvey for his 12th home run of the season and the 499th of his storied career. He had a chance to get No. 500 later in the game but had to settle for a sacrifice fly instead. Cabrera has been playing well lately with a .380 average and five home runs across his last 15 games. The veteran should remain particularly focused at the plate as he chases the milestone long ball, and fantasy managers may want to take a peek if he's able to keep up this level of production.

Ramirez was removed from Wednesday's game against the A's with right knee tightness, Joe Noga of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Ramirez went 1-for-1 with an RBI and suffered the injury when he was caught stealing during the opening frame. He should be considered day-to-day until more is known about the injury.
