Harold Ramirez DH | WAS
Indians' Harold Ramirez: Sitting Sunday
Ramirez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.
Ramirez will hit the bench after he had started in each of the past eight games, going 6-for-33 with no walks over that stretch. His slash line now sits at .266/.305/.416 for the season after the recent slide, but Ramirez should still rank ahead of both Oscar Mercado and Daniel Johnson in the pecking order for everyday duties in left field.

Eloy Jimenez DH | TOR
White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Out again, but making progress
Jimenez (groin) remains out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Cleveland.
Jimenez's sore right groin will keep him on the bench for the fourth game in a row, but the 24-year-old appears optimistic that he'll avoid a trip back to the injured list. According to Scott Merkin of MLB.com, Jimenez gave the media a thumbs up when asked about how he felt following a pregame workout Sunday, a sign that he could be ready to go when the White Sox begin a three-game series against Kansas City on Tuesday. After returning from an extended stay on the IL following spring pectoral surgery, Jimenez went 2-for-11 in his first three games with Chicago before picking up the groin injury.

Darin Ruf DH | MIL
Giants' Darin Ruf: Goes yard, scores three runs
Ruf went 2-for-5 with a home run and two additional runs in Saturday's win over the Astros.
Ruf went yard for the first time since July 18, and he also extended his hitting streak to six games. Plus, the three runs scored Saturday represent the second-highest mark of the season for the first baseman. The veteran slugger ended July on a strong note with a slash line of .298/.420/.649 while also hitting .310 over his last 10 contests.

Brad Miller DH | SD
Phillies' Brad Miller: Filling in for Hoskins
Miller will start at first base and bat fifth Sunday against the Pirates.
Miller will start for the fourth time in five games, but his run of regular playing time will likely come to an end as soon as Rhys Hoskins (groin) is cleared to return to action. Hoskins is considered day-to-day at this stage, but a trip to the injured list could grow more likely if he remains out of the lineup for Monday's series opener in Washington.

Andrew McCutchen DH | TEX
Phillies' Andrew McCutchen: Out of Sunday's lineup
McCutchen (knee) is not in the lineup Sunday at Pittsburgh.
McCutchen left Saturday's contest with the knee issue and will be sidelined for at least one game. Odubel Herrera will shift to left field while Travis Jankowski starts in center.

Giancarlo Stanton DH | NYY
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Benched in NL park
Stanton is out of the lineup for Sunday's game in Miami.
After making his first 78 starts as a designated hitter, Stanton finally saw action in the outfield earlier this weekend when the Yankees didn't have the DH available in an NL park. Though he checked out fine physically following his starts in left field Friday and Saturday, Stanton will be extended a rest in the series finale. The newly acquired Joey Gallo will get the nod in left Sunday.
-
Joc Pederson DH | TEX
Braves' Joc Pederson: Resting versus lefty
Pederson is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.
With southpaw Brett Anderson on the hill for the Brewers, Atlanta will overload its lineup with right-handed bats, leaving no room for the lefty-hitting Pederson. He'll be replaced in the outfield by Guillermo Heredia, while Ozzie Albies takes over as Atlanta's leadoff hitter.

Harold Ramirez DH | WAS
Indians' Harold Ramirez: Doubles twice in narrow win
Ramirez went 2-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI in Saturday's 12-11 win over the White Sox.
The pair of extra-base hits were Ramirez's first since July 10. Despite the power outage, Ramirez still looks fairly secure as an everyday outfielder, even after the addition of Myles Straw at the trade deadline. The duo of Oscar Mercado and Daniel Johnson is more likely to lose work in the outfield with Straw joining the mix.

Ji-Man Choi 1B | NYM
Rays' Ji-Man Choi: Slugs eighth homer
Choi went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 9-5 win over the Red Sox.
He took Nathan Eovaldi deep in the first inning, Choi's eighth homer of the year and fourth in his last seven games. The 30-year-old is slashing .310/.375/.793 over that stretch, and it's probably no coincidence that his power surge began when Nelson Cruz slid into the Tampa Bay batting order directly behind him.

Justin Turner DH | CHC
Dodgers' Justin Turner: Two hits, homer
Turner went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and a strikeout in an 8-3 victory over the Diamondbacks on Saturday.
Turner singled in the first and launched a go-ahead two-run home run in seventh that gave Los Angeles the lead for good. The homer was the third baseman's 19th of the season and he's on track to approach his career high of 27. He has an excellent .295/.385/.499 slash line.
