Nelson Velazquez RF | STL
Royals' Nelson Velazquez: Not in Tuesday's lineup
Velazquez is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays.
Velazquez went 1-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a run Sunday, which broke a streak of 20 straight hitless at-bats. Vinnie Pasquantino will serve as the designated hitter while Salvador Perez (back) mans first base.

Masataka Yoshida DH | BOS
Red Sox's Masataka Yoshida: Receiving MRI on Wednesday
Yoshida (hand) will undergo an MRI on Wednesday, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.
Yoshida jammed his left hand during Sunday's 5-4 win over the Cubs and was not listed in the Red Sox lineup Tuesday. While he's technically active for the contest, he's unlikely to play. Fantasy managers should have a better idea about the severity of the injury after the results of Wednesday's MRI come back. In the meantime, Tyler O'Neill should handle DH duties.

Garrett Cooper 1B | ATL
Red Sox's Garrett Cooper: Batting seventh in Boston debut
Cooper is starting at first base and batting seventh Tuesday against the Giants, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.
The 33-year-old was acquired from the Cubs over the weekend and will make his debut for the Red Sox on Tuesday. Cooper had a .270/.341/.432 slash line in 41 plate appearances for Chicago and should see plenty of playing time at first base while Triston Casas (ribs) is sidelined.

Masataka Yoshida DH | BOS
Red Sox's Masataka Yoshida: Not in Tuesday's lineup
Yoshida (hand) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Giants , Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.
The 30-year-old suffered a left hand injury during Sunday's win over the Cubs and needs a bit more time to recover coming off Monday's scheduled team day. It's unclear if Yoshida will be available off the bench, and he should be considered day-to-day. Tyler O'Neill will receive a turn at designated hitter while Rob Refsnyder starts in left field.

Cole Tucker 3B | LAA
Angels' Cole Tucker: Swipes bag in Angels debut
Tucker went 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and a stolen base in a 6-5 victory versus Philadelphia on Monday.
Tucker was called up to the big club Monday afternoon and batted seventh while working as the Angels' DH. The 27-year-old made a tangible impact in his team debut, walking and stealing a base in his first plate appearance, then tying the game with a run-scoring single in the sixth inning. It's unclear how often Tucker will be in the lineup since he doesn't have an obvious path to everyday playing time.

Mitch Garver C | SEA
Mariners' Mitch Garver: Wins game with walk-off homer
Garver went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk Monday in a 2-1 win over Atlanta.
It's been a rough season for Garver, as he's slashing just .150/.266/.313 through 94 plate appearances. However, Seattle has stuck with him as the team's primary DH, and that decision paid off Monday when he launched a two-run, ninth-inning shot to give the Mariners a come-from-behind win. Garver could be building a bit of momentum, as he's gone deep in two of his past four games.

Justin Turner DH | CHC
Blue Jays' Justin Turner: Clubs pair of homers
Turner went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and a solo home run during Monday's 6-5 win over the Royals.
Turner dominated Royals starter Jonathan Bowlan -- who was making his second career start -- notching home runs off him in the first and third innings. The contest doubled Turner's 2024 home run total and was his first multi-homer game since June of 2023. Through 28 games, Turner is slashing .311/.390/.533 with 15 RBI and 15 runs scored.

Matt Carpenter DH | STL
Cardinals' Matt Carpenter: Nearing rehab assignment
Carpenter (oblique) could begin a rehab assignment as soon as Thursday, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Carpenter has progressed well since being given an injection for his right oblique strain a week ago, having taken a couple rounds of batting practice without issue. It sounds like he might be ready for activation within the next week or so.

Harold Ramirez DH | WAS
Rays' Harold Ramirez: Gets Monday off
Ramirez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Brewers.
Ramirez will take a seat for the second time in three days while Yandy Diaz gets a day off at first base and serves as the Rays' designated hitter after he recently returned from a left pinkie finger injury. Though Ramirez still appears to be the Rays' top option on the depth chart at DH for the time being, he'll be at risk of moving a short-side platoon role once Jonathan Aranda (finger) is activated from the 10-day injured list.

Gary Sanchez DH | MIL
Brewers' Gary Sanchez: Retreats to bench Monday
Sanchez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rays.
Sanchez went 3-for-10 with a pair of doubles, a walk, two runs and an RBI while making starts in each of the last three games, with two coming as a designated hitter and one coming at catcher. The Brewers haven't yet shown a willingness to deploy Sanchez at DH on a consistent basis, so he seems likely to remain in a part-time role while top backstop William Contreras is healthy.
