Calhoun will sit Saturday versus the Mets, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Calhoun will take a seat as the Angels face southpaw David Peterson on the mound. Matt Thaiss will take over at designated hitter and bat eighth against New York.

Blackmon (head) is not in the starting lineup Saturday versus the Padres.

Blackmon left Friday's 5-2 loss early after being struck in the face with an errant throw from San Diego's Xander Bogaerts, and Blackmon will now take a seat in Saturday's matchup. With left-hander Martin Perez on the mound, it's possible that Blackmon would've taken a seat anyway, so it's unclear if the injury or the matchup is the reason for his absence. Kris Bryant will slot in at designated hitter while Sam Hilliard enters the lineup in right field and bats ninth against San Diego.

O'Hearn is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Guardians.

The lefty-hitting O'Hearn will avoid Cleveland southpaw Joey Cantillo for Saturday's contest. Since the All-Star break, O'Hearn is slashing .239/.393/.413 with one home run and seven RBI across 57 plate appearances. Eloy Jimenez will serve as the deisgnated hitter and bat fifth.

Ramirez isn't in the Nationals' lineup for Saturday's game against the Brewers.

Ramirez will get a breather Saturday after going 8-for-24 with six RBI and four runs scored over his last six games. Travis Blankenhorn will fill in as Washington's designated hitter and bat sixth.

McCutchen went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI, a walk and two runs scored Friday against the Diamondbacks.

McCutchen turned in his first multi-hit game since July 19, and he's hit .234 across his last 12 games. He's still managed respectable production during that span, tallying six RBI and eight runs scored. McCutchen remains locked into the leadoff spot and has started 17 of Pittsburgh's last 18 games.

Stanton isn't in the Yankees' lineup Saturday against Toronto.

Stanton will get a day to rest Saturday after going 1-for-4 with a double during Friday's loss. His absence will move Aaron Judge into the DH role while Trent Grisham starts in center field.

Malloy went 2-for-2 with two walks and a two-run home run in Friday's 9-2 loss to the Royals.

Malloy provided all of his team's offense with his eighth home run of the season in the first inning. The rookie has shown good power potential through 45 games, but he's also unsurprisingly striking out 33.5 percent of the time. Malloy will have to make a bit more consistent contact if he wants to take the next step as a player. Thankfully for the 24-year-old, the rebuilding Tigers should give him plenty of opportunities to work through things at the plate.

Ohtani went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Friday's 6-5 loss to the Athletics.

Ohtani had gone 0-for-11 over his previous three games and was hitless through four at-bats Friday. He went deep in the ninth inning to get the Dodgers within a run, but they couldn't find a tying run. The brief slump had little impact on Ohtani's season-long numbers -- he's still at a stellar .308/.398/.630 slash line with 33 long balls, 28 stolen bases, 79 RBI and 84 runs scored through 107 contests.

Blackmon was removed from Friday's game against the Padres after getting hit in the head by a throw, Patrick Lyons of JustBaseball.com reports.

An errant throw from Xander Bogaerts connected with Blackmon's face as he was running toward first base in the third inning. The 38-year-old outfielder was able to walk off the field on his own, but he'll likely be evaluated for a concussion in the Rockies' clubhouse.

The Orioles optioned Soto to Triple-A Norfolk on Friday.

Soto was with the Orioles for just one day and did not see any action. He's making room on the roster for the arrival of Coby Mayo.
