Miller is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game agains the Dodgers, Eric Stephen of SB Nation reports.

With another left-handed pitcher on the mound for the Dodgers, Brad Miller will take a seat on the bench again for the series finale in order to have more right-handed bats in the lineup. Tim Beckham will play shortstop in his stead.

Pederson is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Rays, J.P. Hoornstra of the Southern California News Group reports.

Manager Dave Roberts announced last week that Pederson would get Wednesday off while the Dodgers were playing on the unforgiving Tropicana Field turf, and he held true to that statement. Tracy Thompson will fill his spot in center field and bat sixth.

Carpenter is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Phillies.

This appears to be a regular day off for Carpenter, as the 30-year-old hasn't had a day off yet this season. Ruben Tejada will fill in for him at the hot corner Wednesday.

Soler is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates.

Soler went 1-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI Tuesday, but he still has not recorded a multi-hit game since April 16, and he continues to be rotated in and out of the lineup. Kris Bryant will get the start in left field Wednesday afternoon.

Blackmon opened Tuesday's contest in San Diego with a leadoff home run, ultimately finishing 1-for-4.

This was Blackmon's first long ball of the season, but there should be plenty more to come now that he's no longer bothered by a turf toe injury. He's averaged 18 homers per year over his two full major-league seasons and will once again be counted upon to provide a healthy mix of speed and power atop the Rockies' order moving forward.

Goins is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Rangers, Brendan Kennedy of the Toronto Star reports.

Goins hasn't exactly excelled at the plate this season, slashing a mere .160/.200/.235 in 25 games, and with left-hander Martin Perez slated to pitch fir Texas, Goins will head to the bench for Tuesday's game. Darwin Barney will take his place at second base and bat ninth.

Soler is in the lineup and batting second for Tuesday's game against the Pirates.

Soler will take Jason Heyward's (wrist) place in the lineup with left-hander Jon Niese on the mound. This is the highest Soler has hit in the lineup all season, but likely won't be a common occurrence once Heyward returns from injury. The 24-year-old is hitting .227 with two home runs and five RBI against southpaws this season.

Pederson is in the lineup and batting eighth for Tuesday's game against the Rays, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

This is the first time that Pederson has been in the starting lineup against a left-handed pitcher, and he is 0-for-6 overall against southpaws on the season after hitting .216 against them in 2015. He is likely in the lineup primarily due to the Dodgers getting a DH for this series in Tampa Bay.

With the left-handed Scott Kazmir set to face Tampa, manager Kevin Cash elected to go with a righty-heavy lineup. Tim Beckham will take over the shortstop duties in his place Tuesday and bat seventh.

Belt went 3-for-4 with a walk, a triple, an RBI and a pair of runs in Monday's 9-6 victory over the Reds.

Belt filled up the stat sheet with another three-hit game Monday, his second over his last five games. He is quietly having a breakout season at age 28. He doesn't hit a ton of home runs, which may suppress his perceived value, but if you look at his slash line of .310/.431/.517 (all career-highs), you can see that he is poised for a big season. While it isn't an exciting comparison, Belt's name should be uttered in the same breath as Eric Hosmer in terms of value. The combination of excellent contact, plate discipline and gap power while hitting in the middle of a strong lineup should lead to career-highs in both runs and RBI this season.
