Turner will undergo an MRI on his right hamstring Friday, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Manager Dave Roberts said he's "holding out hope" that Turner will avoid the disabled list, but hamstring issues can be tricky. Turner likely won't play Friday as they await the results. Chris Taylor is a candidate to fill in at third base while the vet rests.

Turner exited Thursday's game against the Marlins with an apparent right hamstring injury, J.P. Hoonstra of the Southern California News Group reports.

He suffered the injury rounding third on a Yasmani Grandal base hit to left field and immediately grabbed at the back of his right leg. Turner slowly limped off the field and went straight back to the clubhouse with team trainers. Chris Taylor, who replaced Turner at third base, could be an option to fill in at the hot corner should Turner miss additional time. The Dodgers figure to provide an update on Turner's status late Thursday or early Friday.

Martinez went 1-for-1 with a three-run home run, three walks and two runs during Thursday's win over Baltimore.

With five bombs, 11 RBI, seven runs and a .500/.680/1.438 slash line through six games since returning from a foot injury, Martinez is making up for lost time in a hurry. The 29-year-old outfielder has been a fantasy star since joining the Tigers in 2014, and there is no reason to expect anything different going forward.

Miller (abdomen) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Thursday, Marc Topkin of Tampa Bay Times reports.

Miller has been out since Tuesday with the ailment, and it seems to be bad enough to warrant a trip to the DL. It's unclear if the team anticipates him missing more than the minimum 10 days at this time, but more information should come forth once he gets back to baseball activities. No corresponding move has been made to fill his spot on the roster yet, but look for Daniel Robertson to pick up more innings at the keystone in his stead.

Torrens is batting eighth and catching for the Padres on Thursday.

Torrens is 2-for-21 with two singles in his first major-league action. He's merely a depth piece, and Austin Hedges should be back in San Diego's order Friday.

Cabrera (oblique) is not in the Tigers' Thursday lineup against the Orioles, Matthew Mowery of The Oakland Press reports.

The franchise player was deemed set to miss two-to-three days with an oblique strain, so his absence was fully expected. Cabrera may not return until the weekend as the Tigers work their star back into the fold carefully. Andrew Romine takes his place at first base, batting eighth.

Batting third in the lineup, Martinez went 1-for-3 with a run and a walk in Wednesday's win over the Orioles.

Martinez was originally slated to hit sixth, but when Miguel Cabrera was scratched due to an oblique injury, Martinez was bumped up. The 29-year-old could stick in the spot while Cabrera is out for at least the next two-to-three days.

Pederson was moved down to seventh in the batting order Wednesday and went 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts in a win over the Giants.

Manager Dave Roberts had been using his young outfielder as the team's leadoff hitter against righties, but he went with Chase Utley in place of the struggling Pederson on Wednesday. The 25-year-old has gone just 1-for-15 in his last four games, but it has been a struggle all season following his big Opening Day stat line. Pederson has never been much of a batting average help in fantasy, but with just one homer in 30 games, he isn't cutting it for fantasy owners in standard formats. He has, however, hit 51 combined long balls over his last two seasons, so we know there is more power contained in that bat and it may just be a matter of time before it shows.

McCutchen went 2-for-4 with two RBI, two steals and two runs against the Nationals on Wednesday.

This marks McCutchen's first multi-hit game since April 28, as it's been a tough season for the veteran. Still, there are positive signs to be found here. His power hasn't entirely abandoned him (.179 ISO)and his .225 BABIP is primed for improvement, considering that McCutchen has actually cut his strikeout rate while still generally hitting the ball well. There's an intriguing buy-low opportunity here.

Cabrera is expected to miss 2-to-3 day with a Grade 1 oblique strain, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

This explains why Cabrera was a late scratch from Wednesday's contest against the Orioles. While he's not expected to miss much time with the issue, the Tigers may play it safe with the veteran slugger and hold him out a little longer given he's already been on the disabled list once this season. Alex Avila will likely fill in at first base while Cabrera is on the mend.
