Harper has been suspended four games for his role in Monday's brawl, but he will appeal, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.

Until he hears back from the commissioner's office regarding the appeal, Harper will be allowed to continue playing for Washington as normal. He will presumably be in his usual spots Tuesday to take on Jeff Samardzija, as Harper was said to be unharmed coming out of Monday's game. Hunter Strickland, who hit Harper on the hip with a fastball, received a six-game ban.

Cespedes (hamstring) took 40 pitches of live batting practice Tuesday, Marc Carig of Newsday reports.

This was the earlier point at which the Mets thought Cespedes could hit again following his weekend setback, so it appears he could be on track to return from the DL over the team's next road trip. The timetable is still very tentative, but if Cespedes can keep progressing along without any setbacks, he'd likely return to the lineup as the DH when the Mets visit Texas on June 6.

Buxton (finger) is in the lineup Tuesday against the Astros, Brandon Warne of ZoneCoverage.com reports.

Buxton hurt his finger Monday and had to be pulled from the game with what turned out to be a finger laceration. Fortunately, Buxton won't have to miss any additional time and is starting in center field and hitting eighth Tuesday night.

Martinez (foot) went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Monday's 10-7 win over the Royals.

After exiting Sunday's game early, Martinez was right back in the starting lineup Monday and made his presence felt with a go-ahead 433-foot three-run blast in the fifth that plated Miguel Cabrera and Victor Martinez. The slugging outfielder had actually been hitless in the previous four games (10 at-bats), so Monday's round tripper served to snap him out of a mini-slump in spectacular fashion. Martinez has now compiled eight homers and 17 RBI in just 17 games played thus far this season.

Cabrera went 2-for-3 with three RBI from a bases-loaded walk and a two-run single in Monday's 10-7 win over the Royals. He walked twice overall and scored once.

The free pass Cabrera drew in the fifth started the Tigers' comeback from an early 3-0 deficit, and his two-run single to center in the eighth capped off the scoring on the night and gave Detroit a 10-7 lead they wouldn't relinquish. The 34-year-old is producing below his normal levels thus far and has been hampered by groin and oblique injuries, but he 's now knocked in 13 runs in May and produced five multi-hit outings during the month. He's also sporting the highest line drive and hard contact rates of his career (31.4 and 47.6 percent, respectively), so a surge in both batting average and power could well be looming.

McCutchen went 1-for-3 with a walkoff solo home run in the ninth and two runs scored in Monday's 4-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

After getting a few days off to clear his head recently, McCutchen has now homered in two of his last three games and seems rejuvenated at the dish. Despite hitting just .215 on the season, the 30-year-old outfielder has 23 runs scored, 24 RBI and five steals in 207 plate appearances. While it certainly seems like the decline is full effect for McCutchen, he's showing some signs of turning his season around.

Stanton went 1-for-2 with an RBI single and a walk in Monday's 4-1 win over the Phillies.

The slugging outfielder's third-inning hit brought home Dee Gordon with the Marlins' second run of the night. He's now hit safely in eight of his last 10 games, banging out five multi-hit efforts over that span. Stanton also has eight RBI in his last eight contests, contributing to his impressive total of 19 in May.

Miller (abdomen) will start a rehab assignment with High-A Charlotte on Tuesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Miller was able to run and hit Monday without a hitch, clearing the way for him to head out on a rehab assignment. If all goes well, he could be back in the lineup after a short rehab stint.

Harper did not suffer an injury in his brawl with Hunter Strickland and the Giants on Monday, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.

Harper said the only thing he noticed after the fight was a scratch on his arm, which he attributed to teammate Anthony Rendon's attempts to get him out of the scuffle. A suspension may still be coming, but don't expect Harper to miss any time due to injury.

Buxton had X-rays on his lacerated finger come back negative and said he believes he could play as early as Tuesday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Buxton got his finger caught up in Eddie Rosario's cleat as the pair of teammates converged on a catch in Monday's game. Consider Buxton day-to-day, as his assessment of his own injury may be optimistic, but it doesn't look like this issue will send him to the disabled list or otherwise force him to miss significant time.
