White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Likely IL-bound
Manager Rick Renteria said Jimenez (elbow) is likely heading to the injured list after exiting Tuesday's game at Kansas City, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Jimenez was removed during the first inning after colliding with teammate Charlie Tilson in the outfield and was given a preliminary diagnosis of right elbow soreness. According to James Fegan of The Athletic, the 22-year-old is returning to Chicago to be further evaluated and will undergo an MRI.

Ramirez went 2-for-5 with two doubles, two runs scored and two RBI on Tuesday against the Padres.
Ramirez delivered early on in the contest, roping doubles in each of his first two plate appearances. The highlight came in the second inning when he doubled deep to right field to drive in both of his runs for the contest. Ramirez had been quiet at the dish since the All-Star break, collecting just one hit in eight at-bats prior to Tuesday's game. While he's hit for a strong .286 average across 210 plate appearances for the season, he has just a 3.8 percent walk rate and is slugging .392.

White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Dealing with sore elbow
Jimenez exited Tuesday's game against the Royals with right elbow soreness, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.
Jimenez collided with teammate Charlie Tilson in the outfield during the first inning and made his way off the field holding his right elbow. The severity of the injury is not yet clear as Jimenez continues to be evaluated.

Jimenez appeared to be holding his right shoulder after the play on what looked to be an innocuous collision with Tilson. Ryan Cordell replaced him in the game.

Buxton was placed on the 7-day concussion injured list Tuesday, Brandon Warne of ZoneCoverage.com reports.
Buxton was forced to leave Saturday's game against the Indians after landing on his face while making a leaping catch. While he's been feeling better since Saturday, Buxton has a concussion and will need to clear protocol in order to gain clearance to return. Fortunately for the Twins, they will get both C.J. Cron (thumb) and Eddie Rosario (ankle) back from the injured list Tuesday.

Carpenter was placed on the 10-day injured list with a right foot contusion Tuesday.
Carpenter left Monday's game in the middle of an at-bat after fouling a ball off his foot, and the issue is evidently serious enough to sideline him for at least 10 days. Edmundo Sosa was called up in a corresponding move and will likely fill a bench role, with Tommy Edman taking over at third base.

Rooker was placed on the 7-day injured list Tuedsay due to a right groin contusion, Brandon Warne of ZoneCoverage.com reports.
Rooker is slashing .281/.398/.535 with 14 homers and 47 RBI over 65 games this season with Triple-A Rochester but will be held out for at least the next seven days while on the mend.

Reyes was scratched from the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Marlins.
The reason for the scratch is not yet clear. Josh Naylor takes over in right field in his absence and would be one of the primary beneficiaries (along with Wil Myers) should Reyes be forced to the injured list.
