Martinez left Sunday's win against the Nationals after getting hit by a pitch on his left hand, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

Martinez was removed from the game in the bottom of the eighth inning immediately after he suffered his hand injury. The severity of the issue is unclear. Martinez went 1-for-4 with one strikeout prior to suffering the injury.

Miller, who drew three walks and scored a run over five plate appearances in an extra-innings loss to the Indians on Saturday, now has a 15-game on-base streak and an elite .477 on-base percentage.

The veteran is enjoying the best offensive season of his career overall, further evidenced by a .327 average and elite 1.048 OPS across 65 plate appearances. Aiding Miller's cause greatly is a career-high 21.5 percent walk rate, a modest 16.9 percent strikeout rate and a career-best 30.8 percent line-drive rate. Miller has gotten an opportunity to play regularly in the wake of the Cardinals' multiple COVID-19 infections, but even now that most of those are by the wayside, the 30-year-old continues to force manager Mike Shildt's hand with his outstanding offensive production.

Manager Dave Roberts said the "best-case scenario" is to have Turner (hamstring) serve as the designated hitter Tuesday against the Diamondbacks, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.

The veteran third baseman hasn't seen game action since exiting Friday's game against the Rangers with a hamstring injury. Given Roberts' description, it wouldn't be surprising to see the team play it safe and hold Turner out of the lineup again Tuesday if he isn't 100 percent.

Winker was ejected from Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader agianst the Cubs, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

The benches cleared during the fourth inning, resulting in Winker, Joey Votto and manager David Bell getting tossed for the Reds. Winker went 1-for-5 with a two-run homer and a walk between the two games prior to the ejection.

Cabrera went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored in Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Twins.

Cabrera's fifth home run of the season was a big one, as he took Tyler Duffey deep in the fifth inning with a runner on to break a 2-2 tie, and the Tigers held on for the 4-2 win. The 37-year-old has a six-game hitting streak and has gone a combined 10-for-21 during that time, so his bat is definitely showing some signs of life after a slow start to the season.

Turner (hamstring) won't start Sunday's game against the Rangers, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.

Turner's injury was initially described as a cramp, but manager Dave Roberts said Saturday that he's dealing with a low-grade strain. He'll sit for a second straight game Sunday and be evaluated for Tuesday's contest. Chris Taylor or Max Muncy could fill in at third base.

Ohtani went 1-for-3 with a double, walk, stolen base and run scored in Friday's victory versus the Mariners.

Ohtani helped manufacture the Angels' first run in the sixth inning, working a leadoff walk and stealing second base before coming home on a two-out ground-rule double. The 26-year-old is hitting only .188 this season, but he has contributed five homers, 16 RBI and four steals.

McCutchen went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer in a 7-4 win over the Braves on Friday.

McCutchen opened up the scoring in the third with a two-run shot to center as the veteran outfielder appears to be locked in at the plate. He has hit safely in 10 of his last 11 games, accounting for three home runs and 13 RBI in that span.

Soler went 2-for-4 with a walk and a two-run homer in Friday's 6-5 loss to the White Sox.

The blast was his third in the last seven games. Soler is proving last season's power display was no fluke, and through 32 games in 2020 he's slashing .254/.348/.509 with eight homers and 21 RBI.

Jimenez went 2-for-4 with a walk, a two-run homer and a second run scored in Friday's 6-5 win over the Royals.

Jimenez unloaded on a Danny Duffy offering, sending it 452 feet over the wall in the fifth inning for his 11th homer. The outfielder extended his hitting streak to eight games and has four homers in the last seven.
