Martinez (hand) remains out of the lineup Sunday against the Nationals.

Martinez was removed from Wednesday's game due to what was called a left hand contusion, and despite both his X-rays and MRI coming back clean, he will miss his fourth consecutive game. With A.J. Pollock also getting the day off, the Diamondbacks will roll with an outfield composed of Daniel Descalso (left), Gregor Blanco (center) and David Peralta (right). Word has yet to surface on when Martinez might be available for a pinch-hit opportunity.

Cespedes is out of the lineup Sunday against the A's, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Cespedes has dealt with hip issues since after the All-Star break, but had recently been able to start six games in a row prior to Sunday. He tallied three base knocks in the first game of the series, but after an 0-for-5 showing Saturday, Cespedes will head to the bench for what appears to be a regular maintenance day. The move allows Curtis Granderson to draw the start in center field, as Michael Conforto will move over to left to take the place of Cespedes.

Ozuna is out of the lineup Sunday against the Reds, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.

Ozuna hasn't missed a start since June 29, but will take a seat in favor of Ichiro Suzuki for the afternoon matchup. Ozuna went 0-for-4 at the plate Saturday, but owns an .845 OPS in the month of July.

Torrens started at catcher Saturday -- his third start in five days -- going 1-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored in a loss to the Giants.

Hector Sanchez was expected to see the majority of playing time vacated by Austin Hedges (concussion), but Torrens has found himself in the lineup every other day since the Padres' regular catcher was placed on the disabled list. The Rule 5 draft pick has gone 2-for-11 in those three starts, so he won't provide much help from a fantasy perspective. The Padres simply want to get a look at the 21-year-old while they have him stashed on their 25-man roster. Expect Sanchez to get the nod in Sunday's series finale against San Francisco.

Manager Dave Roberts said he expects Turner (illness) to play Sunday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Turner is dealing with an upper respiratory issue, but he will be available off the bench Saturday and it sounds like he should be fine for the series finale. Confirmation as to Turner's status against lefty Sean Newcomb should come no later than the early afternoon with the game set for a 4:10 ET start.

Logan Forsythe is penciled in at third base with Turner feeling less than 100 percent, but Turner's availability off the bench offers hope that he could return for Sunday's matchup against lefty Sean Newcomb. Turner is batting a ridiculous .443/.523/.841 against left-handed pitching this season.

Turner is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Braves.

Saturday's absence marks Turner's first since the All-Star break. He has managed 10 homers since his return from the DL on June 9 and continues to hit and get on base at an excellent clip, but the first-place Dodgers can afford to rest Turner here and there as they look to ensure his availability for the postseason.

Martinez was hit by a pitch in his Diamondbacks debut and is now set to miss his third straight start as a result. Fortunately, X-rays were negative and a followup MRI was clean as well, so it shouldn't be long before the 29-year-old is back in action. He has proven to be an excellent source of power and batting average since his breakout season in 2014, and the move to Arizona offers hope that Martinez can improve his rate stats even further.

Carpenter went 2-for-5 with an RBI single and a run in Friday's 11-4 win over the Cubs.

Factoring in Friday's production, Carpenter is now slashing .309/.439/.537 out of the leadoff spot this season, a line partly comprised of 16 doubles, five home runs and 19 RBI. He's been red-hot in July as well, already raising his season average 21 points to .252 while posting six multihit efforts. The only missing element in his current stretch has been the long ball, as the veteran infielder's last homer came on June 24.

McCutchen went 3-for-4 with two walks, three runs scored and three RBI in Friday's 13-5 win over the Rockies.

It's his first multihit performance since the All-Star break, extending McCutchen's current on-base streak to 12 games. He's arguably been the most valuable hitter in baseball since the calendar flipped to June, slashing .384/.481/.642 in his last 42 games with nine homers, four steals, 32 RBI and 37 runs, and Cutch's resurgence is a big reason why the Pirates suddenly find themselves back in the thick of the NL Central playoff race.
